I'm currently in my 4th year of mechanical engineering and I have applied for a product design engineering MSc course in University of Glasgow, as a student of engineering I always wanted to work on the design aspect and less of engineering and I wanted to know how difficult would it be as I'm jumping from engineering to arts and design subject. How were you able to do that? Will it be challenging considering that the master's is only a one year's course? Would I obtain skills that will improve my job prospects once I graduate?
As a designer you would need cotinuous learning irrecpective whether you get a degree or no. Cause it aligned with Tech and that space keeps on developing

This year I gave a designing entrance but was not able to crack it, my 2nd option is to do computer engineering, should I take a drop and prepare for next year design exam or should I get into an engineering college and then prepare along with it..If I get into an engineering college this year then I would have a backup if by chance I am not able to crack design exams next year. Hey Geetika, if you taking a drop make sure you are continuously learning, taking a drop is a big decision. You need to consider time, money and your value of efforts. It will only make sense if you love design and are willing to make it through. But the decision is still yours.

You can try 4 years of courses from these colleges in India, NID, NIFT, Shristhi, IDC, Wosvow Hyderabad. They are good colleges
