Skardu is pretty far off-the-beaten-track especially by car! I like your guide who can show you the best sights & has contacts in the region. A few local dishes were interesting. The scenery is spectacular. I know it's mostly Pakistani tourists now with a few vloggers but hopefully in the future there will be more foreign tourists! The political & economic problems in Pakistan need to be resolved before most foreigners will come here. Inshallah
