I feel for the girl, I am in the same situation. My mother was an artist when she was young. When we moved to the US, since she wasn’t able to sell her art, she had to look for other alternative ways to make a living. She choose to learn massage got her license and is now working at her own business. I understand how hard it is for our Asian mothers who just want to live a honest life. Working from 9 to 9, 7 days a week just so they can support us. My heart goes out to her and her family. This shouldn’t have happened to them. Rest In Peace

Its obvious that a lot of time has been invested in this video. It has an obvious bias on motive which is not the same as the motive given by the one person that knows why he did it. My heart is in so much pain for these people. I live a few miles from the first location and I haven’t been able to watch coverage of this bc how close it hits to home. Literally and figuratively. As a daughter of an immigrant mother that always worked her butt off in a service industry just so we could have a better life, this is just too close. Those poor victims. No one deserves to feel unsafe at their job. Especially not these women who already have to deal with so much disgusting treatment and harassment from men on a day to day basis. I’m even more disgusted in the Cherokee County department in how they presented this case. Honestly I hope The city of Atlanta gets to this case in stead of Cherokee. I’m asian and I live in Atlanta. I don’t really know if this specific act of violence was rooted in racism or not. What I do know is nobody is talking about how the Asian women specifically Korean women that were killed were in the sex trafficking industry. Thats why i think only their identities are being withheld, because that would void their narrative of innocent business owners and employees victims of racism. The shooter said he was angry about his sex addiction which I don’t know why you have to kill anybody for your own addiction, but that may explain why he went to these specific establishments to carry out these heinous acts. The other facts are the two places where the Asian women were killed are in the red light district and known places of prostitution. They have been there as long as I have lived in Georgia at least 20 years with the same names and location. Why aren’t people outraged that these places even existed? Where are the signs denouncing sex trafficking? The people that died undoubtedly were the owner or owners of the spas and the trafficked sex workers. Obviously I don’t believe they should have lost their lives, but they should have never been there in the first place. It’s bad enough that I guess some of the people that did the trafficing probably died, but it’s really bad that a person forced to be there by trafficking being tortured already had to also die there. Call out the Atlanta police for letting these houses of prostitution for existing knowing very well what they are. What kind of deal did the police sent to these places cut, are they getting police getting paid to protect these places? How could they just go on for at least 20 years with the same names and location with no recourse. The majority of people that own these places are Asian with Asian trafficked workers please let the world know to help my Asian community get rid of this travesty. U

I have been wondering the same thing John. Some of the media refer to the businesses as "spas" and other message parlors. One "spa" is located next to a strip club, which your everyday spa is not. The women the news has shown are very attractive and young.

My heart is in so much pain for these people. I live a few miles from the first location and I haven’t been able to watch coverage of this bc how close it hits to home. Literally and figuratively. As a daughter of an immigrant mother that always worked her butt off in a service industry just so we could have a better life, this is just too close. Those poor victims. I’m asian and I live in Atlanta. I don’t really know if this specific act of violence was rooted in racism or not. What I do know is nobody is talking about how the Asian women specifically Korean women that were killed were in the sex trafficking industry. Thats why i think only their identities are being withheld, because that would void their narrative of innocent business owners and employees victims of racism. The shooter said he was angry about his sex addiction which I don’t know why you have to kill anybody for your own addiction, but that may explain why he went to these specific establishments to carry out these heinous acts. The other facts are the two places where the Asian women were killed are in the red light district and known places of prostitution. They have been there as long as I have lived in Georgia at least 20 years with the same names and location. Why aren’t people outraged that these places even existed? Where are the signs denouncing sex trafficking? The people that died undoubtedly were the owner or owners of the spas and the trafficked sex workers. Obviously I don’t believe they should have lost their lives, but they should have never been there in the first place. It’s bad enough that I guess some of the people that did the trafficing probably died, but it’s really bad that a person forced to be there by trafficking being tortured already had to also die there. Call out the Atlanta police for letting these houses of prostitution for existing knowing very well what they are. What kind of deal did the police sent to these places cut, are they getting police getting paid to protect these places? How could they just go on for at least 20 years with the same names and location with no recourse. The majority of people that own these places are Asian with Asian trafficked workers please let the world know to help my Asian community get rid of this travesty. U

I know that there is someone on that force that could speak Spanish. Also they thought it was a balck guy at 1st an then they seen it was a white guy. He was locked in a room. They would not let him out. They didn't have time to even get their gun if they had one. He walked in started shooting then walked out. It just hurts me that they did this to him. Sadly, these tragic events may keep unfolding till the pandemic is a thing of the past. Asian families in America should consider arming themselves legally and understanding how to defend themselves and mitigate dangerous situations. Asian hate crimes have been increasing and may get worse.

I have been wondering the same thing John. Some of the media refer to the businesses as "spas" and other message parlors. One "spa" is located next to a strip club, which your everyday spa is not. The women the news has shown are very attractive and young.

Just got my blood result and doctor said my cholesterol is high and I need to exercise etc. avoiding the gym bcuz of covid but too scare to be walking/jogging on the street.
