As a very recent fan of hockey, jumped all in when at day one of Kraken expansion. I think once you stop following your team only, the thing that hooks you into the league is the characters and the single names that you know on other teams. I think the breakdown of episodes into concepts of captains and superstars and the grind of the push for the cup was perfect for a first season.i would love for the next one to get a more focused on the story but hockey love for me has driven me farther than what happened last season. I think this gave every marker to make new fans to build real hockey fans . It gave you a coloring books lines and now you can fill that in yourself. Idk man, I think they will improve it. But I don’t have much for notes. I was grinning all weekend watching it. Made me so jacked for the season. Love ya boys. Preesh the content
only seen the first three faceoff episodes but the first two ended with round 1 of the playoffs and the third ended in round 2 of the playoffs. so I assume they're building on it in that way since the last two eps are a two-parter about the finals. it seems a little more chronological than drive to survive actually. it's more weird how tight the focus is on specific guys, like pasta is barely in sways episode, you'd never know they're teammates lol
Hello! I’m new to hockey and cane across with this podcast last year during the playoffs. Now I’m hooked 😅 I’ve learned a lot by listening you guys. Thank you for this podcast 🎉
Swayman was absolutely 200% correct about resetting the goalie market. Thg did a comparison of goalie contracts there are multiple teams that have their second line goalie on a f****** entry-level contract. With record setting forward and defenseman contract salaries there are less than 10 goalies making more than 5 million dollars a year. Including Otter! IIRC he's got like a 3-point something million dollar contract and Dallas is a Cup contender this year! I get that goalies are the single riskiest position for both players and for teams but they are fundamentally objectively criminally underpaid. End of.
Re: Prague- I read that because it was not bombed in WWII, it's medieval architecture is intact which adds to it's appeal for movie productions e.g. "A Knight's Tale" (remember that one- with Heath Ledger?) which was a family favorite in my house (I've seen it literally dozens of times!).
Seattle is one of the coolest areas around the arena, it's right under the space needle and right on the water plus being the new team in town is still hype
I know I’m a habs fan, but Montreal has got to be higher than Toronto. Toronto has 2 other teams. There is only the Habs in Montreal. Go to La Cage, cherry on top (I’ve never been sadly).
Yall so full of bullshit😂😂😂 i mean Petřín looks a little like Eiffel tower but paper mache?😆 funny stuff guys. (Im from Prague, born and…kinda raised?)
@@MorbidMorgan …yeah and they lost 6-1. They were saying “wow if sway goes in there and has a bad game and they lose 6-1 that would suck” and they lost 6-1 when they put in the goalie who’s been practicing.

Haven't played Kings in forever. I thought that was just a Midwest thing. Great nostalgia drop CP

Pretty strange to have a take on the series without watching all 6 episodes, the last two have the best narrative
Wait until the boys see the last two episodes of NHL All Access.... You're going to get everything you're asking for

the boys are about to have a table?? we really made it
what the hell is going on with the VGK and Robin Lehner situation!

WE ARE SO BACK
Love the show ideas, copy what the NFL has done with quarterback and receiver
Who’s here after panthers drop 6 on the bruins…

I'm dying OMG
Are the Bruins overrated?? Fosho
lol Chris saying “what if sway starts the first game and they lose 6-1” and then they pretty much did
Korpisalo was in net
