I'm also a 2024 bride, with a small wedding of 50 or so people. I found that planning something so intimate was a lot easier than a huge wedding too, and a lot cheaper! I will be staying under $10k for my entire wedding, venue and dress included. I hope your wedding day is everything you want it to be, and that you and Connor have lots of fond memories made on your special day!
A friend of mine got married just last weekend, they had a small wedding. For the guest that weren’t invited to the actual wedding, she set up a zoom to participate in just the ceremony. Just a thought. ❤❤🥂🥂. So happy for you!!
Loved watching this after I just got back from my 70 person "weekend" wedding. We eloped 3 months before our wedding in the US and that day was so special, but the weekend with all of our people was so magical. I was so glad we had more than just one day. We did a cocktail party the night before, the wedding was a long day (3:15PM-12:30AM) and a picnic the day after. Plus, everything in between. I loved having a photographer at our elopement (we did it at the Santa Barbara Courthouse) because that meant we didn't have to spend a lot of time taking photos on our big wedding day. They were more candid and not posed. We also did a first look and it eased my nerves so much. Once we were together, I was much more comfortable... and my husband still cried when I walked down the aisle. It didn't take away anything at all! Your wedding sounds amazing! I'm glad you had so much fun planning (I did too!).
I loved how my niece did her version of a first look ❤ they were back to back holding hands and said their personal vows just them and the photographer ❤ it turned out so beautiful in the photos and video. So excited for you two 🎉
i had a small wedding but definitely recommend a day-of coordinator. that way, you (and your mom, dad, groom) will be able to enjoy the wedding day without having to answer questions from vendors, etc.
Jill!! Sooo happy to see this video pop up. I was having a rough and this is exactly what I needed! Can’t wait to watch and hear more about the wedding details, I know it’ll be such a beautiful and special day ❤
I did a first look, it was the best idea!! SO SO special. We also went for a small little walk around the venue during the reception just to have a moment with just the 2 of us.
Jill, you're doing what my daughter did for her wedding. Small wedding is perfect. When I got married 35 yrs ago, I had a really small, cheap but nice wedding and it cost less than 200 hundred dollars. I wouldn't change it. Enjoy your day and don't stress out, everything will work out. Congratulations
I completely understand not using a wedding planner, who better to plan their special day but the couple. I would highly recommend having a Third Party that is the 'go-to' for any questions, issues, problems. So that the main bridal party doesn't get taken away from their guests or any moments. Running out of ice, or booze Or we need someone to look after cousin Ralph, who is really uncharacteristically falling down drunk in the washroom.
if you're having any sort of cocktail hour between the ceremony and dinner, i highly recommend having someone set aside some appetizers and a bottle of champagne in a private area for the two of you to have some time together before you go out and socialize/party!
Such a smart cookie. Sounds wonderful. To soend a large amount of money in one day, it's gone, but to save a large amount of money for a home, lasts forever ❤
Awesome! Good for you both! Been Married for over 37 years, we Married in Lake Tahoe, just the 2 of us, as we decided we put a deposit on our 1st House before we married. Best decision ever! Congratulations 🍾🥂 💕 Look forward to all the Special Videos!
Fall 2025 bride here. Also getting married in Muskoka. We chose small (less than 20 people & no +1) to invite to our wedding. Getting married on a Friday & having no formal reception. Just formal dinner. I'm probably doing a come and go party in the spring/summer of 2026 for those not invited.
@@JillCimorelli that’s cool! I’m from Alaska and feel so connected well to that side of Canada anyways 😌 The first our kids(at age 13 & 14) drove the Alcan we went through the boarder and drove for a couple hours and they said are you we’re in Canada it looks just like AK 🥰
Love your idea for having a smaller, more intimate and fun wedding. I'm thinking a lot less stress! Funny thing that I think you will appreciate, when I got married (30 years ago), I wore a Philadelphia Eagles garter belt which was even funnier considering my husband is a New York Giants fan!! He wasn't amused!! Good luck with your remaining plans and enjoy your special day!!

Of course, this example is meant to be a comical scenario!
so happy for you! looking gorgeous as always!

I have been watching you for almost 10 years and never commented , so happy for you, you inspire me alot in so many different things.
Thanks for saying hi and being around for so long!!
Sounds so fun. Just a suggestion, look into a Day of event coordinator so they can handle all issues instead of you or partner being interrupted.

That sounds like a perfect, perfect plan!!!🎉❤
OMG so fun! 50 guest is perfect ❤
Sounds so much like my wedding. I got married last August. You are going to love it!
I am SO excited for you girl ❤
A robe? How about a reception dress ?
She’s turning her mother’s wedding dress into a robe. That’s why
I like your light, easy, fun;
but not too expensive, with it all approach Jill. Woo hoo, 1 month
away...

This is always the best event....just go with the flow and just enjoy the moment without too many unecessary rituals❤❤❤
Wedding of the century❤❤❤
My daughter had around 50 people. It was 35 because of Covid restrictions but opened to 50 last minute. 50 was a perfect number! Was very fun.
We did a first look and it did not take away from the walking down the aisle at all.
One more question are you going to do a first look with your dad before the wedding ?
What about saving the robe to pass down to your kids? Start a tradition of your own 🤍
It sounds like my friends wedding! She’s been referring to as an elevated dinner party

North or South Carolina? Idk if you’ve been there lol. Or somewhere in Mexico?
Wait, are you from Canada or is Conner?
Conor is!

love the video
44 years ago…. I had only 2 attendants and 1 best man and 1 usher. That’s all we wanted
