Just turned 67. I play in a community band and have for well over 10 years. Lately I have been practicing much more and it helps me in both stamina and sound quality. I have been starting to discover some of the techniques you describe here. Thank you very much. I also play golf. Muscle tension control is vital for consistency and fast twitch muscles and I have found that the elimination of tension idea transfers to trumpet playing as well. I am trying to practice daily and for about an hour. Incidentally my high school band director also plays in the band with me. He is 87 and although his stamina is not what it used to be his virtuosity is still there.

A new subscriber here. Great tips, I do experience mouth piece pressure because I don't practice regularly and consistently. Number 10 tips got me greatly. Thanks so much
