      yooo, i hate to break it to you but that was more like the 2000's flat screens if youd call them that wernt flat, they were like 4 inches thick. and most of those didnt take off for awhile and were too expensive. besides, at the time Big screen TVs were actually BIGGER then todays, but they were lower resolution.
      in the 90's flat screens didnt exist. most people didnt start to get rid of them till 2000 at least.I only recently got rid of my projection TV in my extra room because it still worked fine. (oldest tech goes first but if its still working i just move it to another room)

    At 2:21 - You heard the person shooting the video say... Oh My God.
    I don't blame ya. The picture quality is maintained when you get super close. That is crazy.

    LG has 32k OLED technology in hand currently. Just released 8k in 2018. Will show 16k in 2019 and 32k in 2020. LG doesn't need to rush. They have no competition at all.

    • @basicthinkingtv
      @basicthinkingtv  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +sheldon leslie we have videos of transparent Samsung displays from 2010 on our channel. But that doesn't matter. In terms of flexible panels LG seems to be ahead in terms of resolution and how thin they can go. The rollable one is just 0.15mm plus I am really impressed by their 1500nits HDR panels. Yes, Samsung also works on all of this but LG stole the show from its biggest rival

    • @MrJamboy300
      @MrJamboy300 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mobilegeeks.de just letting this guy know that LG is not the first to bring this to our attention, and I will not argue resolution... Samsung did show us flexibility in a smaller form factor. I must say that LG did take it to another level by improving everything on a bigger display (TV) while Samsung backed away from Amoled/Oled on TV's for wtever the reason... nd thanks for reminding me that Samsung take this back to 2010 nd not 2014 including transparent display.
