I am doing the one book challenge and have had a lot of success. I went in with a bujo and it has become my true one book. I think the problem I was having with the pre-printed planners is I was being forced into layouts and pages that were already there. I think I needed the One Book challenge to see this. I have bought 2 (yes 2!!) Weeks books, a Cousin, and an A6 this year in an attempt to find the book that works for me. With very minimal effort, I can make the pages EXACTLY what I need as I need them. I don't see myself going back to a pre-printed book. This might be the first year I don't make a Hobonichi purchase...

I loved listening to your thought process in why having separate books is helpful to you. I'm not doing the challenge but I am seeing that maybe a single book might be better for me because it's overwhelming to have so many books to check in with.

Thank you! I can see how one book may be easier to manage :)

If you don't mind tip ins, that could be a good way to address the occasional busy day time schedule

I went back to personal rings but use FCC inserts so now it is going well. However, I do not have a ton to track and my work is on my dailies so I can just shred them and not keep them. I don’t journal either.

I’m doing the challenge too. So far it’s gone… well, I manage to use my book to journal at the end of the day, but I never check my task list or note down key information! I miss my disc planner and my big coil planner that made it easy to see and display tasks and appointments. I’ll finish out the month, but will move almost everything into my discs come Aug 1st.

I totally understand wanting to go back into the other books. I'm glad the challenge is helping you see what you like!

I think the only way I could make one book work for me is if I used discs or rings because I have *so many* different things I want to archive for later reference that it doesn’t make sense to keep it all in one bound book. And I love pocket-size 🥰 so idk how I could fit everything in a pre-printed book. But one system IS compelling, so maybe I’ll try that next year 🤔 (minus the Weeks I just bought for a health planner…oops 😅)

If several notebooks works for you, why change it? You sound like you found your system and that's totally okay.

The concept of everything in one book is intriguing to me 🙂 I wanted to challenge myself to see how I would do!
