For the Meteor, Royal Enfield designed a new air-cooled single-cylinder engine with an overhead camshaft . The camshaft is driven by a chain and operates overhead valves via rocker arms in a V-shape. With a stroke of 85.8 mm and a bore of 72 mm, the engine has a displacement of 349 cm³ and achieves a maximum output of 15 kW (20.4 hp) at 6100 rpm. [1] The engine and a five-speed gearbox are housed in a common housing. The multi-plate clutch runs in an oil bath. The rear wheel is driven by a chain.
The Meteor has a semi-double loop tube frame (with a forked down tube). A 41 mm telescopic fork with 130 mm travel guides the front wheel, and at the rear there is a swing arm with monoshock . [2] The front wheel has a tire size of 100/90-19", the rear wheel has a tire size of 140/70-17". Both wheels have disc brakes, 300 mm diameter at the front and 280 mm at the rear. The brake works with a two-channel anti-lock braking system.
do you have any major problems with the engine, like breake or something or eaven the cricket noise? and when you say you can cover a 500km ride u mean 500km without stop?...
