Not gonna lie, I really miss this attraction, it was lovely scenic ride and educational journey;) Thomas does the same journey now but the ride just isn't the same without the education and history of the park
@@jayducharme At one time there were three of those locomotives. One was sold to a museum somewhere in the center of PA, one converted to Thomas, and one left original.

I miss it. They added shitty ass Thomas. They stuck the Thomas shell on top of that engine. It looks like shit. Then they re painted the cars for Annie and Claribell. Hopefully the do excursions with the original engine.
@@skiiipawbs i dont see why people complain about these kinds of park trains (except for the cursed ones) they have pretty cool backstories take the kiddieland limited for example, that thing was awesome and even preserved!
So now that Thomas is gone, I think they should bring this theme back
When I enter heaven the turnpike will be on my right side and the the ole mill will be next on the right.Kennywood = heaven.
I felt my childhood die hearing this was removed, it's just a wonderful little ride.
Does anyone remember a tropical style restaurant near Raging Rapids?

The trains are still there and one of them got rebuilt into Thomas.
We were just there and the rebuilt train wasn't running. They were still working on the track.

dmapittsburgh I’m glad they kept an original one. It’s a beautiful design.

2:59 is that a steelworks?
The Boundless Yes it is. Pittsburgh was once filled with them.
Pittsburgh is known as steel city
Yeah. It’s Pittsburgh.
just here to see what it was before thomas showed up
mystery brick It was better, that’s for sure
@Aidyn Leya he meant that the ORIGINAL train ride was better, the Thomas overlay is honestly embarrassingly lazy (POSTCARD BILLBOARDS WOOOOOOOOOOOOO)

2 Of the Gimbel's Flyer engines still exist, one on display, and the other that still operates at Kennywood.
@@TRAIN110ValleyProductions Of them has a Thomas shell on it. You can still the drive wheels and engine unit under it
It kinda reminds me of a Dr Seuss book "Green Eggs & Ham."
Lake compounce! Storyland! I go to Lake Compounce every year but storyland. I don't know what happened to it.
The Boundless Storyland in New Hampshire is still doing well. They got their first wooden roller coaster a few years ago.
These engines I think are staying. They are just being redone to look like Thomas or if they are going away screw palace entertainment lol
Horrible excuse for a j class also a bad example of a steam train
What do you expect!?!?! It's an amusement park for god sake
These locomotives were from the 1939 world's fair.
These were literally built when the J-class was running lol.
It’s an amusement park train, chill
