It's even better when you remember the first episode where Ted says "If you think he's mad now, wait till you see how mad he's gonna be when we win him over"
The place where Colin and Trent talked was right by the first memorial made for the LGBTQIA+ killed in the holocaust. It was very, very touching to see that.
I love this show so much. My favorite part is Jaime and Roy’s friendship and their growth. No one would have ever thought Jaime from season 1 would be such a beloved character now.
He’s terrific: and for anyone wondering where they’ve seen the actor, well… he’s been in a lot. But probably his most memorable (American) TV role was in season two of Game of Thrones, in Dany’s storyline.
I love Nate's growth. Him deciding to not spit on his reflection is a great symbol of him being empowered by loving himself instead of despising himself.
Not sure if you picked up on it (or if anyone else has mentioned it) but Roy’s line “I fucking hate what you’ve done to me” is a call back to a scene in season one where Ted says “he thinks he’s mad now, wait ‘til we win him over” to which Beard responds “he’ll be furious”
Last season was all about the "Roy Kent effect", but Sunflowers showed us (and Roy) the "Jamie Tartt effect": see the positive in any situation and don't let anything stop you 😌
Ted’s hallucination is a reference to an old Disney animated short film called Donald Duck in Mathmagicland. I almost fell off the couch laughing when the True Spirit of Adventure started talking. It sounds so much like the original voice it’s uncanny. “Hello Ted,” made me feel like I was 6 years old again.
I think the most underrated line is when Will the kitman says to his mother, "And then I met this lovely couple and they invited me to have a threeway!"
Re: Vanilla Vodka. In one of the early episodes of Season 1, Roy goes to a club where Jaimie, Keeley, Isaac, and Colin are hanging out to tell them to stop bullying Nate. He grabs one of their drinks and shames Jaimie for drinking vanilla vodka - turns out that was Colin's drink all along.
The home secretary in the show is based directly on Suella Braverman, the real current UK home secretary. Basically, all they did was hire an actor and change the name. the rest is accurate.
Absolutely adored this season - yes some bits were hit and miss but overall bloody brilliant. I'm based in the UK and multiple episodes featuring how the government is treating refugees is very true to life and credit to them for bringing this up. Sam's character is definitely influenced by Marcus Rashford and similar footballers, well worth a look!
Our real life Home Secretary in the UK is even more of a fascist than the one in the show. Also, I’d have loved to have seen your reaction to Roy’s epic monologue about how to deal with bullies 😂
So I hav been waiting for Natalie's reaction on this season. I saw part 1 3 weeks ago and thought let's wait till she uploads part 2 as well to see it all together. Like S1 and s2 it would hav 2 parts. Boy was I foolish 😔
Please don’t make us wait for your final reaction I love it for me finally don’t have to explain the entire series with each story how much they’ve built with the story I love you catching every little reference don’t need any explanation just know cause you love the show so please don’t take to long with Part 2 of season 3
Ted's hallucination was reference to Donald Duck in Mathmagicland. An excellent old educational video that we would watch in elementary school back in the 80's when we we had a substitute. The narrator taught Donald about lots of different math stuff, mostly geometry. He used a pool table to teach him about angles and ancient Greek architecture to teach him about the golden ratio. A real gem if you can find it, too bad its not on Disney+.
Watching you react to this made me want to watch the full series for a third time ;) Loved the Amsterdam episode. Higgins playing Chet Baker's 'Let's get lost' genuinely gave me goosebumps. Sam and Dad's relation was something else, as well as Nate and Jade's. She's precious.
Hi Natalie 😊 just wanted to say thank you for the amazing content!!! I've recently found you after watching someone else react to the last airbender seasons and though why not let's start it all over again, from there I've caught up and followed a few other of your adventures including stranger things, euphoria, house of the dragon, the last of us and a load more!! Your reactions are so pure and legit aswell as enticing me into wanting to rewatch the whole things again!! So yes thank you for positivity and so much swearing 😂 I love it!! Honestly though been such a positive experience so far!!
Awww... so good. What a show with it's ups and downs and we see things turning around now with the team and with the personal lives. But we're coming to the end.
Ep.6 is a personal favourite. 10:52 Love The Dutchman, this whole side-story is excellent. 12:18 Part of me wishes this storyline went in a different direction, but it was really satisfying (and hilarious) overall. 14:38 🤣🤣🤣 14:41 My favourite story in this whole brilliant episode. Side Note: I nailed the "Piggy Stardust" reference, and was unreasonably proud of myself. 🐽🌠
So glad we had the exact same reaction to Keeley and Jack’s first kiss. Willing to bet our reactions will stay consistent with them as things continue with them as well lol
That whole bully scene! Totally ship Jack & Keeley! ♥ Great speech from Ted! Sunflowers is one of the best episodes of the series! ♥ Piggy Stardust! The red string - *giggles* 😃 Good seeing positive growth from Nate Good seeing Sam's dad! LoL @ Roy Sharp Dresses Men comment! Love the whole team fixing up Ola's! Love seeing Sam & his dad cooking together!
Watched it back when it came out. And am still sad, it ended. This makes me even more sad. But it was great reliving the season with you. Thanks, Natalie. Good stuff. Keep it up! PS: The Amsterdam episode will forever be in my heart. So wholesome.
The Anime nerd in me was at first nodding like "yes, I know this aspect of Japanese culture" then very quickly shifting to OH NOOOO NOT LIKE THIS......
He's supposed to, because the strings being tied in that manner was his idea 😛 I know you didn't suggest it, but some people seem to think it was Brett Goldstein breaking character or something.
@@ericforsyth I knew it wasn’t unscripted and that it was Roy idea, I just liked his laugh because he never laugh and that was his first time laughing and it’s a stupid laugh 😂
14:41 i remeber the first time i tripped o Shrooms. It was a tea... the next day i went to work feeling 10 ft tall, and the whole week i felt no anxiety, and only drank socially. (Im in michigan, but didnt feel the need for weed that week) Im ok with never doing it again, but id like too if it comes up again.
Even if you buried one small body part of Ted Lasso a thousand feet under ground in a steel tube, he would still destroy the entire human race within one hundred years.
First season: Ted about Roy: He thinks he's mad now, wait until we win him over. Beard: He'll be furious. Season: Roy: Would've been called "Sharp dressed men." Ted: Oh, that's nice. Roy: I hate what you f**king done to me.
I hate that Roy says it's totally mental to train for total football/tiki taka when learning the false nine the season before is such a clear part of that evolution.
This is the meat of Season 3. Especially 6 onward. 2, 3, 4, 5 are kind of are a bummer, although they DO set up stuff you see pay off in the finale. But 6 through 12? More than make up for it. Heck, even 6 just by itself might even make up for those lame earlier episodes. It's arguably the best episode from all three seasons.
As much as I want sapphic relationships in media, something I really dislike about this season and the show in general (I still love it though), is that they made two office relationships comprised of the boss and their employee, but NEVER even acknowledge it at all.
@@Matuse Not really, they hardly ever call out the problematic power dynamic. They just brush it off or joke. This show has a serious problem with inappropriate relationships and not addressing it.
Rewatching the season with y’all, I’m just noting… this season is so much better than the torn opinions would suggest. Yes, it’s a little disjointed and, honestly, almost none of the newly introduced characters land so I get why those storylines feel like a waste of time (mostly Shandy and Jack, with some Zava thrown in but he at least serves more of a purpose for the overall story arc). But overall, it really is just a terrific season of TV.
Love love your reactions to Ted last so I only wish we could have gotten more in depth with some of these episodes in your reaction. Are the full length on your Patreon?
The "shut up and dripple" comment is a callback to real world when LeBron James tweeted about why people are protesting and a Fox correspondent said the same thing to him.
If you rewatch ted being seated at the burger place, it's a big ass homage to pulp fiction. Same song and tracking as when Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Mia Wallace (Uma Thermon) get seated at the diner on their "not a date". also nat, come on, stay on this f@#$ Nate train! One episode of getting a date doesn't make up for being... him.

I know you’re busy with other shows and movies and I’m stoked you’re continuing the show but dang these got cut super short. Seasons 1&2 had 40+ min sections. I just hope you give Mom City and the Finale the individual attention they deserve or atleast the finale.
Roy reflexively cracking Ted-like jokes was one of the funniest things in the series, especially coupled with his disgust at himself.
I hate what you’ve done to me! 😊

The Amsterdam episode is not only the best episode of all of Ted Lasso, it's one of the best episodes of any TV series ever.
