Glee introduced an entire generation of viewers to the American Musical Stage and the composers and lyricists throughout the twentieth century A song here, another there, and over the course of years, they were exposed to the works Cole Porter, Lerner and Lowe, Jule Stein & Bob Merrill, Rogers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Stephen Schwartz, Jerry Herman, Kander and Ebb, Jonathan Larson. Its a pretty astonishing feat.

I completely agree! It is fantastic introduce viewers to new composers and songs, and/or to recognise and appreciate familiar music in a new light through Glee.
