You should be able to buy it at any fabric and sewing store or even art supplies store. It's called a French curve. Alternatively you can always get online too. Good luck in your sewing!

Yes, you can get all different shapes and sizes. There are "French curve kits" that gi e you all the option. If you go to Google images and search you will see. Good luck!

As a fellow male sewer starting to make his own clothing I love your tutorials. I'm dyspraxic and the trouble with a lot of tutorials online is that they go too quickly with the steps/instructions for my brain to properly process and don't show clearly enough what they are doing so that I can understand it fully. Your tutorials are precise,clear,visable and most importantly go at a pace of which I can easily understand what you are doing. Thank you very much and I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do next. (Ps do please make your own sewing/tailoring book)

I love that your machines aren't high end expensive ones that ordinary people couldn't afford. Mine is a Toyota from the 80s and it's a total workhorse. I just found your channel but after a video and a half I've subscribed because of the way you take time to explain every step

I decided to try my hand at sewing and saw this and the pattern video. I made a scratch pair to check the fit out of an old bed sheet then finished my first real pair today. I’ve got a long way to go but this video helped me so much. Hopefully I can add some stuff to my business attire wardrobe.

Hello Cornelius! I've been sewing clothes for me about a year, occasionally sewing for others. For Hanukkah, my son wanted updated Oxford Bags. I figured, how hard could it be. The patterns I found were awful, with little instruction or instruction for historical reproductions. Your site saved me. I never learned sewing from my mother who used to run an alterations business before she fell ill. Getting a new appreciation for what she was able to do. She made all our clothes as kids as well.

It's baffling to me, that this channel doesn't have more subscribers. The quality of the content when it comes to the sheer knowledge supmemented by the editing and consequent graphic design and adorable sense of humor make me wish that we'll be keeping on seing more from Cornelius. What a wonderful video! I've had a go at sewing myself a pair of pants a while back. All went well until I got to the pockets, and then the zipper fly (which I couldn't figure out at all). This video is a lifesaver! It has given me the courage to try making a set of pants again soon. Fingers crossed :)

This gentlenan has taken the time to respond to every. single. comment he has received. And also, not even one of them is a bad comment. This is just a Rara Avis.
As for tailoring, I have already tried few methods I came across on internet, but with no big success at all. The instructions were not clear and thus I have always ended up frustrated and thinking that I am wasting my time, and also that all the money I have invested in the sewing machine, the serger, the fabric and all the other stuff is just a waste, since I am not able to do it. After all this, I get again to the conclusion that I must succeed somehow. I must learn how to tailor my clothes, I have no choice. I will never be content with myself until I am able to wear in my day to day life classic costumes that fit me 100%, all made by by self, with my bare hands. (And a sewing machine :D) All this cycle has repeated a few times now, tomorrow I am starting again, with your tutorial this time!
Since I have the previous experiences, I know what were my sticking points, and I can tell if there's something I would not be able to replicate, due to a lack of understsnding of the tutorial, but none of that in your clips, sir!
I am so enthusiastic about trying it tomorrow!

This is the best channel I have come across with cutting and stitching. Which is very clear for anyone who knows nothing about stitching. It is clear and perfect. After following you, one can understand that what you can do and what you cannot. It is as if you are attending a regular class on stitching. I read this book called the PEP method. It was all about working effcientcy (back when I used to work, tee hee, I'm retired!) and it had almost a mantra "DO IT NOW". I love your mom's scripture, "Do it before it becomes a chore". That needs to be a plaque hanging somewhere.
I hated it so much when I was young. Now I say it myself. Maybe I should make. t-shirt with that on it :)
