It's funny, I watched a review of the moto g stylus the other day. the reviewer was talking down on these motorola phones. the commenterrs were doing even worse. talking about how the quality has gone downhill severely since lenovo bought the company. saying the last good moto g was the g3. I don't know what they're smoking or if I'm missing out on something, but I've had only good experiences with the g3,4 and 5. I am still using a 5. They are solid phones for the price with lots of features and they are tanks. The anecdote I like to relate is the time I dropped my phone 20' onto gravel and watched it bounce 8' sideways under a stack of lumber. It has a Speck Products Presidio clear cell phone case on it that I bought at the same time as the phone. Flagship phones are the only ones on the market the get the fancy otter box and life cases. Nobody will make premium cases for any of the other phones because of sales volume. So you always h ave to get some cheesey case for these cheaper phones. Well, the G5 with that cheapo case survived that 20' fall and 8' bounce (this is not hyperbole or exaggeration) with nothing more than a small scuff on the corner of the case. I figured it was going to be smashed , but when I fished it out from under the lumber, nothing. It still works fine to this day even after being dropped a couple hundred times on all manner of surfaces from carpet to concrete. It lives in my pocket for 11 hours a day while I'm at work, gets full of sawdust, fine road dirt and who knows what else. I can listen to podcasts, music and ebooks for 12 hours straight without emptying the battery completely. That's after owning it for about 3 years at this point and using and abusing it every day. I don't know if I am missing out on better quality cheap phones or if people are just ignorant snobs and/or shills. My experiences say these are really good phones for the money.

This phone reminds me on my iPhone 11 but better. I love this thing and the battery last 2-3 days. Also the haptics on this thing are killer feels like a much more expensive phone then it really is, not to mention the headphone jack...in the right spot non the less. 100% worth the cash and I wouldn't wait for the pixel 4a just get this phone and save the $150.

I've heard the G Power doesn't get as good battery life compared to the G7P, but the new features like the dual speakers, better cameras, more storage and ram, and same price as the Power model last year. Probably the most practical phone out right now.
nice first look at the Moto G Power. I wear whats called a CGM ti monitor my glucose level constantly 24/7/365. It sends data to an app on my phone. That means i need reliable long life power. I bought the Moto e5+ which also had a 5000 mAh battery. It's been super giving me almost 48hrs if i didn't really use the phone beyond the monitoring. The battery is down to about 14hrs life give or take. Was about to pull the trigger on the G7 Power but this new G Power looks that much better and it's only about $20 more direct from Moto. Can't wait yo see what carrier pricing will be. We seem to be in a donut hole for carrier phones. I'm a looong time, since it was CDMA pre-Tmo acquisition, so about 15yrs i think. So biding my time ti see what shake out this summer. BTW, it was your review of the e5+ that sold me on it. Thanks, keep the details flowing!
I just got one of these last week and this is a serious phone. Very fast. Great stereo speakers. Crazy battery life. Exactly the features I was looking for at such a low price point. Great value!
@@lculliver Good. I hear everyone well. Nobody has mentioned I sound bad. I have Verizon prepaid. When I speak to another Verizon person it is crystal clear, I think HD calling or something. No complaints yet. My last few phones people used to tell me that they couldn't hear me that well!

I recently bough the Motorola G8 Plus, as I had my Motorola G6 Play for nearly two years now (still works well and in good condition). And I'm really happy about it the bigger screen size and Stereo Speakers. The only downside is that no one really knows when Motorola will be updating it with Android 10
Sounds like the G Power is a really good solid phone worth purchasing. I am trying to decide between the G Power and the G Stylus as to which phone to purchase. I am looking forward to your opinion on the G Stylus and which of phone the G Power or G Stylus you think is the better phone and recommend that people purchase.
I have the stylus it depends on your priorities I like the stylus it feels solid the stylus I mean. Also it feels solid battery life on the stylus is definitely hugely improved over the g,7 let me give you an example out of the box my stylus had 56% battery and I used it playing games and TH-cam for five hours before the battery finally died. The power has a 25% bigger battery than that. In most other specifics the phone is idebtical

I'm a fairly light phone user . . . so I can stretch my Moto g power battery out to 4 days. FOUR DAYS! Far better than any phone battery I've ever had. You can also set it to go into battery saving mode at a certain % (I set mine @ 10%) but beware, b/c when it goes into batt-save mode, the screen appearance will change. I freaked out the first time, b/c it won't let you change it back the normal way. To change it, you have to change the battery save % setting. So far, so good for me.
I want this phone. Pretty unsure right now,especially with the SE(I'm big on keeping software support) but this phone looks so good for the money especially with that *BATTERY* lol. I bet if you install gcam this would be an extremely competitive package.

Nice video! I have the Moto G7 really good fast phone but sometimes drops the wifi ☹️ but it is rated the best Budget phone on the market and it surprisingly matches up good against the Samsung S10 but the speed and clear picture of the Samsung S10 still smokes most phones out there!
I spend well over a hour comparing the Motorola G Power and Motorola One Action, the G DOES have really good sound. And the camera shutter speed is nice.
Yesterday I switched from G7 Power to G Power. I just switched back a few minutes ago. The first problem was the hotspot could not be used and my provider could not solve the problem. That was the deciding factor for switching back to G7. I bought it because I wanted the new features 64gb with 4gb RAM and to upgrade to Android 10 and none of those are worth not having the hot spot. And the new processor is no big deal, at all, not a noticeable upgrade. Battery life is great but that like all the features with G7 are not improvements. The new G Power also feels cheap and I absolutely hate the camera "dot" to the left that is an eyesore. I do not recommend G Power if you already enjoy your G7. I have been a Straight Talk customer for a decade and the G7 is their best performer with supported features.
I'll wait till the Pixel 4a launch to decide for sure, but I think this is the phone that's gonna finally replace my Nexus 6. $250 for 5000mAh, a headphone jack, stereo speakers, a decent display, and near-stock Android is an absolute steal.
I loved my g7 power however the camera was terrible. Now the 8 power has a better camera and I love it. I don't get why people spend so much on iPhone and Samsung's. I had Samsung's in the past and I like the g8 power much better.

Also, this phone has an FM radio. I am not sure how common that is but it is first phone I have had that has that.

I loved my g7 power however the camera was terrible. Now the 8 power has a better camera and I love it. I don't get why people spend so much on iPhone and Samsung's. I had Samsung's in the past and I like the g8 power much better.
Camera and smoother gameplay better qhd display.
Full HD youube is okay but qhd TH-cam is better
I switched to Google Fi with my wife this year. Best decision ever.

Currently have a Moto g7 Power. While the G Power does offer a few upgrades, I'm gonna have to pass due to no NFC.
Been using 15 watt charger and it's seems to be working
