    What a humble, likable guy and a beast of an athlete. He keeps his well-deserved swagger on the court where it belongs... parents did a great job. I had a similar play style as Mac, minus the insane hops. It's been 25 years since I played, but I now live vicariously through this young man. Big fan, Mr. McClung - I wish you all the health, happiness and success in the world as your bright future unfolds.

      Who has the dream of not being the best and wanting to be known as the best?
      How would it sound if he was just like, " I want to be an average NBA player, hopefully I ride the bench most of the time".
      Don't be ridiculous.

    Definitely NBA bound. Stay humble and healthy the sky is the limit for this young man. God gave this young man a gift and I am happy for Mac. God gave my nephew a gift too. Blessed him with a height of 6'8. We pretty much shoved the basketball down his throat. Long story short. He was never in love with the game in HS and AAU. Now he is job hopping smoking weed. In a black family you hope he will be the one but that didn't happen. Mac has my attention and I am a fan. I live in DC so we will support this young man and wish him+ his family well.

      Joe Blanton Nah. He won’t be an NBA player. He’s only 6’2” and we’ve only seen him play against high school players that won’t ever play college ball. He won’t even get playing time at Georgetown, where he signed with. He’s a big fish in a puddle. When he steps up to the ocean of D1 NCAA ball, he won’t even make a splash.

      What does height have to do with the NBA? We've had shorter people than that in the NBA. From 5'9" all the way down to Muggsy Bogues at 5'3". Height isn't as much of a factor as people make it out to be. Can still be an effective player at a much shorter height. It's an advantage as much as it is a disadvantage. Bogues made taller guys look silly a lot.

    • @pittsburghguy2520
      @pittsburghguy2520 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LucidDream mac is definitely a dog and height isn’t everything but at the same time if you’re going to be only 6’0 in the nba you better be a IT or mugsy bogues kinda player

      TRE4RERE we'll see how he does in GT next year. He is not ready for the league right now but he will be. That young man is still growing and only going to get better. IQ is off the hook you should know that.

    • @joeblanton7403
      @joeblanton7403 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cam lol, he is 6'2 1 inch shorter than me. Yeah he has hops but his IQ is insane for his age. Shakin the rim is not everything. He seems to be a complete player. How many white dudes you know not scared to play against bigger players. Not alot of white chocolates out here. I like to see that shit. Trust, he won't be a bench warmer at GT

    I'm a graduate of Georgetown. I was in the same class as Allen Iverson. Iverson left after two years to be the number one pick. Big East ball was super exciting back then with Iverson and Ray Allen at UConn. This kid reminds me of Iverson. I like his style. He is going to face way tougher competition though at the next level. He won't be going against a bunch of farm boys when he plays for Gtown. I hope he makes it. Hoya Saxa!

    From his Jr highlights to footage of his sr year, I have seen a improvement. His summer league play really payed off for him. I thought at first he was a lil overrated because he didn't start on his summer team (team loaded) they were loaded tho, and he got to chop it up with alot of players ranked higher then him, but I can see the all around improvement in his game now. I can't wait til he gets to the Georgetown summer league. The big lights cut on right there.

    There are "many" athletes. How many high school districts around the country is there an athlete who can dunk? How many can dunk as fluidly as this guy? Like, 1 in every 5 districts? Those guys are the champs of their local area, but they aren't players. They don't have the drive and the intelligence to be an actual D1/NBA player. This guy though, you can peak into his head a little bit. He has stuff going on up there. He's put thought into the game (his life, really) and what it's given him. "The dream is the journey". "The crowd jumps on your back". To naming specific elements of the game that are about swagger - "the shoes, the crossover, the fadeaway". He has a head on him. He can be something. If it's ultimately not an NBA player, so what? But, with that said, I strongly believe that he can be a good player in the NBA.
    Look at his history. He has actual skills that he's had to develop because he wasn't 6'1-6'2 before. He grew five fucking inches. He has the skillset of a guy who wanted to compete hard as a 5'8 player. You have to try so much harder as a 5'8 player. And from his subtle comments, I think he has the intelligent and curiosity to look at the details. Things like, how low does this player bring the ball on jab steps, that "feeling" you get when you pull up for a shot right, patterns in the defense, etc. He really seems like he has a head on him. I wish nothing but the best for Mac.

    hope he can grow to at least 6-3, 6-1 to 6-2 just bit short in today nba, he doesn't seem to have really long wingspan for his height and his lateral movement is good but not elite even at div 1 level, height would be a must if he want to make it to the pros on more than 10 day / g league contract

  • @zyxwut321
    @zyxwut321 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hope it works out for him, I honestly do. However, until I see what he can CONSISTENTLY do against elite competition when he goes to Georgetown I'm not sold on him. The area he's from is rural Appalachia and the teams he's playing against don't usually have any D-1 talent. He's crossing up mostly skinny 5'10"/6' tall white kids who likely aren't even going to be playing college basketball. He's a huge fish in a tiny pond. However, brothers his size and athleticism come out every year and while they're nice prospects nobody (except their hype crowd) expects them to become NBA franchise players. Let's see how often he can defend, handle the ball, shoot, pass and drive to the hoop against future NBA point guards and 6'10"/7' centers and power forwards in the paint. I hope I'm wrong but right now I think we'll look back at this video 5-10 years from now and laugh.

    • @spacewarrior100
      @spacewarrior100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the competition isnt as good, but he's still averaging 40 pts a game. I believe that will transfer to the next level. I believe he will be a Grayson Allen type. Watch you'll see
