    DESCRIPTION english
"ME UDO starring Udo Kier" - a western road movie
He mimed a bloodthirsty vampire, androgynous pretty boy and psychopathic killer.
His face with his pale green eyes was stamped into the audience's memory. Udo Kier is one of the few German actors who succeeded in Hollywood and became world famous -- even in the iron sky behind the moon.
Contrary to his "typical" roles, Udo Kier lives with his two dogs in Palm Springs. The penchant for eccentric, he celebrates in private: Years ago he saved a listed library in Palm Springs from it's demolition. He has since expanded it to a residence.
The images of his daily life are like a Western. Endless desert landscapes, created as a documentary, a dusty ghost town from the 40's and the never ending highways are the sets, where director Jeremy JP Fekete meets the exceptional actor Udo Kier: in his adopted home, the U.S.
In one moment completely cowboy - then again egocentric enfant terrible , Udo Kier exposes himself shameless to the camera, then again refuses any collaboration, just to be demanding shortly after. "ME UDO" is a slightly different road movie, that elopes the audience not only to the top of Mount Jacinto and down into the valley of the giant windmill fields, but also into the depth of an outrageous actor.
    DESCRIPTION Deutsch
Seinen Einstieg in Amerika hat er in "My Own Private Idaho".

All is important, i think..the inner world as well.. many are nice and good looking while very young but then losing their look very quick. When you grow old the inner world tells on your look and works for you or against you, depends on who you are.
Then another thing is important such as happiness...really, a happy one always feels and looks better then unhappy & lonely one.. isn't it?...:))

Kier was born in Cologne, near the end of World War II. The hospital where he was born was bombed by the invading Allied forces moments after his birth, and he and his mother had to be dug out of the rubble. He grew up without a father. In his youth, he was an altar boy and cantor. He moved to London, England at the age of 18 to learn English.

Huge fan of Udo, since first seeing him as (my favorite) Count Dracula in Blood for Dracula (1974), to his appearances in several Fassbinder films, onward to the self-referential Hans in My Own Private Idaho (1991) and the truly bizarre Kingdom (season 2). Looking forward to this documentary being finished.

This actor is a unique piece of art and state of mind. In today's media streams you don't quite get to see such insightful views of whatever subject is taken up.

I've thought Udo must not be worry too much about age, some people keep up good shape and mind up to 80-90. My grands and grand grands all were very healthy up to the very old age, 85-90,..some are still alive and also feel good. They were/are very active and cool. I think if Udo looks and feels so good in 67 why not to continue with it??;)

LOL, I didn't get that comment as well. Actually, I don't like "skinny" men myself :)) but I don't see that Udo has any problem with it. All what I see is a wonderful body, very nice and sexy. He could be named "slim", well, but definitely not "skinny". Besides, he objectively looks very good and young for his age, it's a fact and objective reality...so that comment seems to be inept, ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. Lets forget it.

Hahahaha, yeh, it was something! where he talks about weight, indeed? lol!!!!!
and he is in a very good shape, looks well, nothing abnormal or unhealthy, lol, people you are crazy..Do you think he says: "The loss of weight is the loss of energy, agility and brain"? lol, hahaha, but then he doesn't promote the loss of weight at all! Hahahaha..Well, he talks about youth, anyway,...Lol

  • @RenaissanceTheMan
    @RenaissanceTheMan 12 ปีที่แล้ว

LOL, I think they didn't cope with the beauty of the man! This is the reason. Udo's wholesome beauty blinded them and made them crazy..so they lost comprehension. We who stay here are the most morally stable, LOL.

Yes, they obviously see another video. Such an optical illusion. They see old skinny Count Dracula instead Udo Kier ..and that Count talks them something about weight lifting.

Haha, I don't get what you all are talking about, where he talks about losing weight? LOL, I'm probably blind but I don't see anything about weight, he talks about "loss of youthfullness", no? Hehe...And even if he talks about weight I don't see any difference between what it was and what is in the film, LOL. Take it easy! :))
