This is me every time. lol. Loved the part where you described it as absolutely wonderful diabetes torture device and where you dropped the transmitter for the first time and said expletive. That got the thumbs up! You told the truth about this. It ain't easy.
When I did my pump training the Medtronic rep said that you can take the protective flap from the adhesive tape off before putting the sensor in your arm so it makes it a lot easier to put on because you don't have to peel the flap off when its already on your arm and risking ripping the whole sensor off. Basically when you load the sensor into the serter and it's loaded at that point you can peel it off so the whole adhesive tape sticks to your arm as you insert the sensor with the serter. I also don't use the overtape at all since it gives me a lot of skin irritation and they're so hard to put on when you're doing this on your own. I use kinesiology tape instead and it works like a dream and stays on really well. I hated the cgm at first because it was so hard to put on but just these two tips make it a lot more manageable. Hope you're able to get the simplera sensor soon! We're supposed to get them at the start of next year here in Finland! I think they already start distributing them in December but only kids and people with the newest pumps get them first to avoid availability issues with the staggered release
All i ask is it worth it. I am suppose to get on it this week having never used a insulin pump and been using the Freestyle Libre which is a 1000x earier.v. Ugh

Wow, the needle stays in your skin until you pull it out? That looks brutal.
That looks so difficult 😮😮😊

I don’t think I would use that too much trouble
