I love how Hot Toys is updating older versions of their figures. I wonder how they would update the Punisher War Machine Armor, from Future Fight. Then again, that's pretty badass as is. The Iron Strange looks taller than the Mk.50.
So the only way to get the complete set for Iron Man mk. 50 is to, essentially, get THREE figures? Iron Man mk.50, the accessory pack, AND Iron Strange?
Business 101. HT wont completely kill the value if the originsl mk50 by adding a helme, and as for the repulsors in the back, yeah its weird that now with this uhh off shoot? figure, they decided to release it, but hey it still looks pretty cool sans the undersized portal
To be fair, Bandai/Tamashii Nations did this as well with the Iron Man mk. 50… and 85. Difference there is that those are Twelfth Scale figures and, thus, cheaper… And I missed the initial release of those.
I love the idea that they are getting into concept art! This is a extremely cool mash up! Your 3 Pro’s and Con’s are on point. It’s a hard one to pick up unless we know they will be coming out with more like this one. Then it would make more sense so we can have a shelf with Concept figures all together. I am sure people who are fans of Dr. Strange could still include this but some of us have to think big picture as far as themes for each shelf or section and cost. But this is very cool! I really like it. Lots of accessories make it flexible enough to use for the other Iron Man figure. The other Mark 50. I love the lights as well! Great review again!

Hot toys is slick here. They gave us the multiple blast nano tech stand with Iron Strange so you have to buy this figure in order to display that with the mark L. LOL. great review as always.
I think this figure is worth it just for the holding hand and the flying blasters and doctor strange 1 sculpt with updated paint alone, also I love the fact you could just turn this into a mark 50 if you wanted
Would've been awesome to see what a Dr Strange helmet wouldve looked like. Of all pieces of armor, a helmet would be the first thing worn to combat above all others. Though I get they wanted to show his face because he is an expensive actor.

Mark 50 helmet and chest piece (swap out) + all the effects really SLAPS. Now if it was LED/USB then it would be very tempting to pick-up to get that final look. Thanks Justin!
03:06 it’s an interesting complaint about the base. It’s not really a diamond shaped base more of a square turned 45 degrees. Can you imagine how big a square base would need to be to keep the same dimensions? Huge. Also even if it had a square base, it would likely be smaller than the arms holding the floating parts so you would never be butting the base right up against a wall or another figure stand anyways.
Iron Strange should definitely be taller, even with nanotechnology it’s still adding height and bulk because it’s a guy inside a suit. A lot narrower than the originals yes, but still added mass no matter how you slice it!
I hope we get a battle damaged mk 50. The mk 50 we have just works for scenes before his 1v1 with Thanos, but during his battle not really, especially with the blade, but unlikely
Hey Justin, I just had a thought for a crazy headswap in the future, see what the Marty McFly headsculpt looks like on the Tom Holland “Classic” Suit when it eventually releases, I think if somehow Spider-Man was made in the 80s, MJF would’ve been a good choice!
I too love the MK 50 but Yes! the bicep light switches and battery compartments on the MK 50 are the worst! It always takes way too long to find both the compartment and then the switch. I like the original Strange sculpt too over the Infinity War one too. I would love to see that deleted scene one dat.

Why didn't they just make the entire suit glow green. I know it matches well with the effect pieces but it would be nice to get a full on Dr. Strange Iron Man figure.

Loved the review as normal, but I feel like this is a very expensive accessory pack for the Mark 50. The portal is laughably small, it was hilarious when you showed him going through it, got a real laugh out of that part. 😆

It is not directly interchangeable without modding the neck connector
I hope they have used better materials to fix the plastic in the arm ( shoulder joint) the right arm is famously for braking apart.
