Let's be clear, if you don't know, you don't know; Let's not knock people because they don't know what everyones organizations do. And it's not "just" about diversity in the newsroom, there are a barrage of things that people are not aware of from arts/entertainment, music, history, and other worldly things...being in a GLO shouldn't be singled out as "something you should know". Respectfully, carry your weight in your own arena, don't "expect" everyone to understand why you do what you do. It's not putting you down or anything, it may have just sounded like screeching to her, that's it.
