Warthunder really did the Q-5’s dirty, they are missing so many things they had irl, such as infrared missiles certain radar features and the countermeasures they are supposed to have. I’m a Chinese main and I really hope they add them eventually.
Gaijin often does BS like this for balancing reasons. They want to fill techtree gaps so they intentionally nerf vehicles to make them fit these gaps. They might add a separate Q-5 at a higher BR that has all the weapons it should have
I love this plane for air and ground. It's fast and surprisingly maneuverable. FYI: KH29s don't work in night battles... you can imagine how I found that out. The lack of irccm missiles, eegs, and radar missiles. can be annoying when shooting down the SU-25s in Ground RB, but its a solid CAS plane.
Lol that awkward feeling when you realize TV isnt thermal despite black and white screen (my first run in Su-39, was so hyped for radar locking fire and forgets until night)
To me it feels like the love child of a Jaguar and Tornado. Because its engines are Speys, lets call the British Phantoms and the Buccaneer its grandparents
7:47 Pantsir doesn't have IRST it just has a tracking radar at a bandwidth that only a few helicopters like the Apache can detect. FlaRakPanzer, ITO90, ADATS, those have IRST, ADATS being the only one with only an IRST tracker which can be a dissadvantage when the target is in the clouds. Too bad most people are muppets that don't switch to IRST immediately when they can to not give a launch tone to the incoming aircraft
Yeah I’m pretty sure the pantsir has an irst tracker because when I open the multifunction menu and than go to radar there’s a button that switches to a irst tracker
Something you didn't mention about the bombs Unlike the 250KG ones who have the same explosive mass between the low and high drag versions, the 500kg parachute one has almost 100kg more explosive mass then the low drag 500kg version

2:52 it's like a meter shorter than the flanker (many forget flankers are as big as a b-17) . Which is crazy in itself.
