As Biggie once said: "don't be mad, UPS is hiring" ?? sounds like a pretty damn good gig to me!! 😂 hard work, dedication, and perseverance personified by these two gentlemen, great interview Nick and thank you Bricked out media for sharing your story!!
Great stuff Nick! Very well spoken UPS brother explained the day to day and benefits, pension etc. I'm thankful for my job with USPS. As a top pay scale carrier the pay is good but hopefully gets better through the new contract negotiations.
@@MailmanNick Me too. The paychecks will be big the next two months but should be bigger. I believe we will all vote in early December to say yes or no. Then if it's no arbitration will take place in January for no longer than 15 days. I'm guessing we will know in late January what's the final agreement.
@@BrickedOutMediaJust curious. How do they track you? Do you get discipline for going over a few minutes on a break? If you work a bit slower than other guys, can you get fired? At PO, no one gets canned unless they throw away mail or something serious.
@@willaerley7140 You can't get disciplined for performance, however you can get fired for stealing time. You can take your break/lunch whenever you want, but you must punch out the board. If you're caught taking a lunch without punching out, that's stealing time, they can terminate you for that.
@@BrickedOutMedia Interesting. We have an automatic 30 minutes taken out. If the tracking says you took an hour, nothing happens. Supervisor might mention it, but people give a lame excuse. Stuck in traffic or not feeling well.
Good Pay and Benefits. You can invest in your own retirement fund if you need extra. They give you a pension. The UPS also has a heavy lift of around 150 lbs or more.
Sounds great except for loading trucks in the warehouse at 2AM. Can’t imagine doing that for years. I guess you need to find an area where there’s a lot of retirements or new housing construction for new routes.
And my coworkers daughter and grandson started at the warehouse and he said in about a year they became drivers. Some came from outside like my friend. He was lucky. Its way better than usps. 5300 pension a month
Pay and free medical. Im a usps carrier that used to work at ups because I was part time at airport when I was told everyone was going to ups part time after 5 years free medical
The overtime at the post office would be justified if the pay was comparable to UPS. Too many of us can’t afford to take the leave we accumulate because you need the hours that already pay inadequately. I noticed that work place toxicity didn’t come up which is a cancer in the post office

Jay h is all the help they need
10 years ago ups starting wage is higher then a mail carriers wage now. USPS sucks bad
Wish we were like UPS!
@ our pay for 4 years in should be 33 an hour at least
@@MailmanNickMe too. Gotta be honest though. We got a lot of deadbeats who wouldn’t last a week at UPS.
Fortune magazine reports that the Postal service gets $18 Billion dollars 💸 is subsides annually.
It’s the two days granted for 8 hrs and a pick up person for outgoing

Yeah I couldn't work the demonic shift after midnight
I talked to a driver a couple of days ago and he said he's going to make 51 an hour next August
That's awesome
