Yuji Nishida (西田 有志, Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese left-handed volleyball player. Currently Nishida isn't in a club (Left the JTEKT Stings on the 26.5.23)
Nishida made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTEKT's Starting 6,[4] as well as Japan men's national volleyball team. Nishida also led the team finishing seventh place after 29 years, in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Ran Takahashi (髙橋 藍 or たかはしらん, Takahashi Ran, born 2 September 2001) is a Japanese male volleyball player and an Olympian. He plays as an Outside Hitter for Nippon Sport Science University's club,[1] Japan men's national volleyball team and Vero Volley Monza.
The Japan men's national volleyball team (Japanese: 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association.
Their nickname is "RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese.

the fact that nishida's spikes are still so strong and powerful despite not being in prime form and health condition remains a mystery to me. bro's clearly still feeling things (as you can see thru the inconsistency of his vertical jumps and spikes) but still manages to keep up with the team and scores. truly a LEGEND! Takahashi, this guy's elit. love that consistency! Kudos team japan!!

@@JihangAUIt's possible but improbable, Nishida was in a slump and seems to have recovered already but still not in top form. That 6 serves against Canada when he was 19 still leaves an impression. He's only 23, has experience from the past 4 years of international volleyball and still not in his true prime yet, while Miyaura is 24 and also not in his prime yet but only has only had this year to experience International Volleyball. Both play the same position and have similar playstyles, it'll be a treat to have that rivalry against the two of them because Japan will probably look for an opposite with a similar playstyle to Ishikawa who is a balanced player.

@@travisbrown9936 he was replacing nishida due to injury, as soon as nishida recovered he started playing in games again, though miayura now plays a lot as well since he's shown that hes very talented.
@@JihangAU I doubt that, Nishida lost his skill for like a year due to mental issues and he gained a lot of weight. Now nishida is recovering and still doing good.

Nishida is a great player, he is just going through something. Remember that he has done very well for his country. Just because he didn’t perform like he used to doesn’t mean he’s shouldn’t be in the team anymore. People judging know nothing. He needs support.

to be honest it was yuki ishikawa and kento miyaura who really changed the flow of the game but overall japan’s teamwork made them win this very tough match congrats japan 👏👏👏
