My Dad worked for the railroad 35 years started with Penn Central in 74 and April 1st 76 Consolidated Rail Corporation he was C &S here in Detroit Dearborn division Livernois yard I LOVE YOU FOREVER DAD, ALWAYS YOUR SON MATT 😘
I worked all the yards from Sterling Heights to downriver Trenton/ Wyandotte and was on the road xtra board from Toledo to Conway right around the time this video was shot. Hell I might even have been in a couple of the trains shown!
@@THEROGUEDECEPTICON In 1999, Conrail was broken up by CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern. Conrail lives on as a joint operation known as Conrail Shared Assets Operations (reporting mark: CSAO).
I hate to be that person but does anyone know the music in the beginning? I had this movie when I was a kid and I always wanted to know what the opening song was. Thanks
Conductor Robes Grand Trunk Western, which was and still is a subsidiary of the Canadian National despite the fact most GTW trains sport CN painted units.
reporting Mark's NYC went to csx. but you fail to mention that reporting Mark's PRR went to Norfolk southern. and I don't think you remember the winters of 1976 or 1977 ?those where the worst in conrail history. ad the facts that conrail was in much worse condition in those years.

Jessica Kasumi I always did like those blue and red paint jobs with the big white GT on em.
