My Guy here it is 2023 and the exact fuse you replaced was the exact fuse that was blown on my 2013 IS250. You are the goat save me some time because i had given up 1hr into checking the 3 fuse boxes i knew about and you nailed it with this one. I appreciate your time and I did sub and liked.
Just worked for my 2006 Lexus GS300. The RAD NO. 3 fuse is the box on driver side. Same fuse though and replacing instantly fixed my issue with “Check connection to the air conditioner”. Thank you so much for the information, this was a huge help!
Great video tutorial for troubleshooting. I’ve looked high and low for some help and you have made what I needed to fix my car. I also found some burned fuses that remedied another issue I was having with the ECU and p/s ABS lights. I almost spent good money with Lexus and didn’t need to.

Thanks man you helped me fix my 2007 Lexus IS 250. Fuse for rad 3 under the passenger dash was blown. Problem started when someone one jumped the car backwards. Blew main fuse link and all 3 radio fuses and ects fuse causing the car not to rev.
I changed the 30amp fuse after the radio stopped. Did the trick, thanks, had to find another video to find that our cars have a tool to take out the fuse in the front driver side fuse box!

My 2005 LS430 radio, navigation, and climate control wouldn't power up. Found the 7.5 radio fuse blown in the panel on the passenger side foot well. Works perfectly now. Fuse was a little hard to remove but finally got it. Thank you.

This is amazing! I have an 07 IS 250 and issues with the unit. First the touch screen started to crap out. Got that replaced. But after a few weeks, it died on me, the whole unit, exactly what you are describing. *HOWEVER* in the following months, my entire unit came frequently back to life for a few minutes, a day or two and then went all blank, including the AC, but I had access to the manual radio and AUX. Two months ago, I went on a trip to the guy who replaced my screen and lo and behold, when I reached his location after a two hours ride, my nav system, a/c etc, turned all back on (dentist syndrome???) , but then shut off again. He took the unit out and checked the screen, but when he tested, the screen was actually working, until he put the reinstalled the unit and it went out again. So, I will try to check for the fuses, but I feel that there might be some sort of a short in the system... or both, which then ultimately blew the fuse.. We are nearing fall and winter, and I adjusted my AC always in the few minutes it came back to life, but now it's totally dead and I set the AC to battle the 90'+ F we had this summer... the AC is freaking cold... LOL

Which was one more hint about the likely real cause of the non working section of the nav system: A lose wire that supplies the power to the unit. Here's why I suspected this, from time to time, the full nav system, including the rear camera comes up... often just for a few seconds, or minutes, before it disappears again and is dead (but steering wheel controls still work for volume, channel search etc.). Last week... for whatever reason, the nav system stayed on for almost 6 hours or so and I've made my A/C adjustments for this fall season. Throughout that time, I had the engine turned off a few times and the display and controls all came back on. Next morning, tho... all dark and no reaction since. This would NOT happen with a blown fuse, this *must* be a lose wire. I don't have the space or "a" space, where I can work on the car and trying to find out which cable is the power supply within the multi-connector plug. That's pretty much the next step... locate the wire and fix it in the system...
I have similar issues- radio worked intermittently - then “died “ altogether . But everything else seemed fine - Meanwhile my condenser fan fell off , which o replaced, along with the fan motor because I smelled an electrical smell figured the fan jammed or burned out the motor? Anyway- I Installed an aftermarket radio with touch play/ apple play etc and the radio works fine now but I have no power to ac? It gives me a message that “the ac electrical connection disconnected” any ideas? I swapped some relays around and looked for fuse issues concerning the ac but am wondering if it could actually be this radio thing? 2004 - 400h

I have a 2009 IS350 with a navigation unit. Started my car this morning, only to find the screen wouldn't turn on, and the climate buttons wouldn't respond. The radio buttons below it still worked, though. After checking the fuses, I found the problem was a fuse in the driver side panel: #4 / TV NO.1 / 10 A / Display Check your car's owner's manual for other fuses that affect the navigation/display. @@ajay13ful yes it was the digitizer. On the r lower left side of the screen there is a ribbon with 4 connection. I used a circuit pen and went over the circuit. It didn't work initially but the next day it work. Guess it took time for the chemical to seep in.

I just had same issue on 06 IS250, radio working AC blowing cold air but control panel out...changed the fuse under Passenger side Rad 3 10A, panel was still not on...saw a comment on here that said to hard reset car by unhooking battery, did this for about 30 min and the panel came back on. Just like rebooting your phone.

My car dealership is a joke. I’m going to try this. I turned in my car for a airbag recall. They dented my dash and also the bottom stopped working. So I reported it. They fixed the interior after one year of waiting for parts lol. Then they said my radio is just a malfunction. They are all jokes. I swear. $2900 to repair it 😂😂😂

I have the one with navigation and all I get is an “audio off” screen but climate and navigation works no problem. I keep thinking the bottom piece which is really the radio part of the entire unit went bad. I haven’t tried this because my climate works unlike in this car. Any ideas?
Hey man how can i contact you personally? I have the same problem but on a 2007 lexus es 350. My ac control panel was working fine until my mechanic replaced and put in a new compressor but it’s now not working once he done that. Had all fuses checked with and without the testers all good, relays all good. Had the computer scanned says no problems. The radio works but not the ac control panel. Also in the driver dash it used to read the actual temperature but just shows “E” instead of temperature. My mechanics recommend me to take it to the dealer but no money for their prices. Any advice?

@@Atca09 i cant remember and i wasnt looking at labels just a blown fuse. just know the fuse for climate control is on that side. SC 430 has 4 fuse boxes.
@@autopaintcorrect8898 What really annoys me is there isn't an exact answer and proper diagnosis to the problem too much mixed info, (could be a fuse head unit module in the trunk the wires behind the navi screen etc. etc.) Unlike in a Mercedes you stumble upon an issue and you'll find a straight answer that will lead you to a proper fix! This is ridiculous the "reliability" hype of a Lexus is highly overrated!
Agreed. Toyota and Honda use very good parts when it comes to fuses. It's rare for them to die randomly, let alone in big numbers across a specific model range.

Could be the actual radio, or blown speaker.... Disconnect all of them and test for short circuits.... Mine had blown the small speakers at the back and sub

Well what do you think it is, seriously? If the AC pump is working, and your fans are working, and the expansion valve is working, and your AC fluid is being circulated correctly, and you're getting cool air out through your side vents but not through your console vents, what do YOU think the problem is?

Hey Gerorge, I have a 08 is250 and I tried replacing my headunit with an aftermarket one. All went well at first, plugged in the new unit and everything was working fine, as I was playing around with the system before I bolted it back in and placed everything, the screen went black... I switched it out for the original one still nothing. Same symptoms as this car however all the fuses are okay- any suggestions?

Eduardo Troche I didn’t I sold it with that issue sometimes it would turn on sometimes it wouldn’t and the guy who I sold it to said he went to Lexus and they fixed it for cheap it’s just the display that has issues

Check your fuse box. there is one under the hood,, and one under the steering wheel column. (that's where mine is) you can also look at your owners manual. You can buy a fuse from any auto parts store. O'reilly's, Auto zone, Pep Boys, etc. If your fuse is broken, look carefully the wire will be broken, in between
Hi George Lexus IS250awd 2009 with only 37,000 miles. The battery has been replaced two years ago. I have a different radio problem, every few days, when I put the ignition on or start the engine even when the radio button is off I hear two low frequency thumps noises in the speakers located in the rear view window area followed by total radio silence, and if I try to turn on the radio I end up with no sound at all. Note that I can change radio channels or FM bands but with no audio output.The Lexus dealer told me probably I will have to replace the radio amplifier (1640$ cdn ouch...). I am surprise that the amplifier could be the problem, because when this problem doesn't happen the radio can play for hours without any glitches even at a loud volume. When this happen even turning off the engine and restarting won't solve the problem, sometimes it takes half an hour before restarting the engine or the ignition will solve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated regards Luc
The radio always has power. That is why you saw a spark. Probably no big deal other than be careful replacing the radio fuses while the battery is connected.

2015 lexus is250 f sport 2.5l the rotary dial for audio wont work I changed the battery with a new lexus battery Try to turn on Bluetooth with the rotary dial and nothing would work the menu button no backspace Disconnected both positive and negative on battery let it sit and reconnected it and still won't work.. any help would be greatly appreciated
I have the one with navigation and all I get is an “audio off” screen but climate and navigation works no problem. I keep thinking the bottom piece which is really the radio part of the entire unit went bad. I haven’t tried this because my climate works unlike in this car. Any ideas?

Hey man how can i contact you personally? I have the same problem but on a 2007 lexus es 350. My ac control panel was working fine until my mechanic replaced and put in a new compressor but it’s now not working once he done that. Had all fuses checked with and without the testers all good, relays all good. Had the computer scanned says no problems. The radio works but not the ac control panel. Also in the driver dash it used to read the actual temperature but just shows “E” instead of temperature. My mechanics recommend me to take it to the dealer but no money for their prices. Any advice?

Which exact fuse was blown? I have an ls430 with a “check connection of the air conditioner” message on the Navi screen nothing works no climate no radio. I live north and it’s cold cannot turn my heater on. This is ridiculous Lexus IS garbage!
@@Atca09 i cant remember and i wasnt looking at labels just a blown fuse. just know the fuse for climate control is on that side. SC 430 has 4 fuse boxes.
@@autopaintcorrect8898 What really annoys me is there isn't an exact answer and proper diagnosis to the problem too much mixed info, (could be a fuse head unit module in the trunk the wires behind the navi screen etc. etc.) Unlike in a Mercedes you stumble upon an issue and you'll find a straight answer that will lead you to a proper fix! This is ridiculous the "reliability" hype of a Lexus is highly overrated!

Not always, but usually there is a reason/something causing a fuse to blow.
Agreed. Toyota and Honda use very good parts when it comes to fuses. It's rare for them to die randomly, let alone in big numbers across a specific model range.
Can a fuse really be bad if it's has continuity and not blown?

Could be the actual radio, or blown speaker.... Disconnect all of them and test for short circuits.... Mine had blown the small speakers at the back and sub

Well what do you think it is, seriously? If the AC pump is working, and your fans are working, and the expansion valve is working, and your AC fluid is being circulated correctly, and you're getting cool air out through your side vents but not through your console vents, what do YOU think the problem is?
I didn't understand how you restored the memory for the radio and navigation. Mine went off after changing the battery. I have not had radio or navigation for a year. If you can help I would be much appreciative.

Hey Gerorge, I have a 08 is250 and I tried replacing my headunit with an aftermarket one. All went well at first, plugged in the new unit and everything was working fine, as I was playing around with the system before I bolted it back in and placed everything, the screen went black... I switched it out for the original one still nothing. Same symptoms as this car however all the fuses are okay- any suggestions?

Eduardo Troche I didn’t I sold it with that issue sometimes it would turn on sometimes it wouldn’t and the guy who I sold it to said he went to Lexus and they fixed it for cheap it’s just the display that has issues

Check your fuse box. there is one under the hood,, and one under the steering wheel column. (that's where mine is) you can also look at your owners manual. You can buy a fuse from any auto parts store. O'reilly's, Auto zone, Pep Boys, etc. If your fuse is broken, look carefully the wire will be broken, in between

Lexus IS250awd 2009 with only 37,000 miles.
The battery has been replaced two years ago.
I have a different radio problem, every few days, when I put the ignition on or start the engine even when the radio button is off I hear two low frequency thumps noises in the speakers located in the rear view window area followed by total radio silence, and if I try to turn on the radio I end up with no sound at all. Note that I can change radio channels or FM bands but with no audio output.The Lexus dealer told me probably I will have to replace the radio amplifier (1640$ cdn ouch...). I am surprise that the amplifier could be the problem, because when this problem doesn't happen the radio can play for hours without any glitches even at a loud volume. When this happen even turning off the engine and restarting won't solve the problem, sometimes it takes half an hour before restarting the engine or the ignition will solve the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The radio always has power. That is why you saw a spark. Probably no big deal other than be careful replacing the radio fuses while the battery is connected.

Check fuse number 9 on passengers side ..it work for me..
