I love how casual and friendly this show is. It feels like we get to see Hank and Michael and the guests as their normal selves instead of their professional selves.
When hank said "what does a baby look like?" I was like uh hank..you have one. I then noticed this was in 2015 which explains the lack of having a baby but not the question lol
sayem fazal You don't kill the baby. The move just turns them into a baby. The game announces "Babality" and the baby cries, and then the match is over. I used to play that version of Mortal Kombat a ton. It also had animalities and "Friendship" Finishers. :P
this is the most i've laughed in a while. whose idea was it to give chemistry questions in the first round? scishow quiz show is one of my favorite things on youtube right now. level of silliness = perfect.
Yeah they record the show in one sitting, and film the explanations likely before but possibly after. It just makes sense to do it that way, because it reduces the editor's stress, ensures that "ok we have plenty of time to research this" and also makes sure Micheal doesn't have to remember explanations and scripts for every single show, at the same time.
I think I've seen just about all of the SciShow quizzes, but in my mind, this one was the funniest, most interesting, and entertaining one so far. Nice work! The three of you make a great combination. More Jessi, please!
I love this so much! This is the first quiz show from you guys that I've seen and I love the comedy and the explanation of each question. Keep on keeping on! I am curious though, what do you guys actually have degrees in?
forgot to mention that cesium is also liquid at room temperature, and francium likely is (though hasn't been confirmed). Gallium is pretty close but needs a little more warmth
Okay, who wouldn't like to hang out with these three, pretty much any time, anywhere? Anyone? No one? Bueller? Yeah, pretty much as I thought. (Okay, these _four_, because you'd want Stefan included too, right? Right.)
Haha! Great show, guys! And that was a good effort, Jessi, eh! (For what it's worth, I wouldn't have been able to beat Hank on those chemistry questions either, eh.)
Unfortunately I am currently watching three "shows" right now. Online classes are a pain, but there are ways to move things along. Play required videos in multiple windows, don't actually watch them but play in the background of what you actually watch, the usual.
Hahahahaha xD! I was laughing my head of the whole time! Especially at the end! :') SciShow, always friendly and informative. Keep up the awesome work guys! You are my favorite channel.
Your scoring system is messed up. I know it's all in good fun, it just seems harsh that you should lose so many points so quickly just because the other person hit the buzzer first.
***** If you know the answer for sure, or think the other person does, hitting the buzzer is the right thing to do. If both of you are guessing, it's better to wait.
***** But if they get it wrong, you automatically know the answer of a t/f question and would have a 1 in 3 shot at the multiple choice one. Not sure what that means overall, but it's part of the things to consider.
Jordan Bartholme Okay so I think it means this: Assuming you are guessing and you know the other person is guessing also, the T/F question really doesn't matter who goes first. With the multiple choice question, you'd be better to wait b/c they will have a 75% chance of being wrong and by going first will lower that chance to 66% for your guess. (disclaimer: I'm just some guy, what do I really know?)
In the new iteration of quiz show, please keep the host - contestants dynamic the same. I just started rewatching some episodes and they are really fun.
I think that if both Jessi and Hank did have such an irrational number of babies, it would make an observable impact on the evolution of human brain development. Generations from now the majority of humans will be descendants of these brilliant pair, bringing the collective cognitive function of the entire human race forward, A LOT :D Sorry, I was distracted by my thoughts. I just feel like it's important for intelligent (also nice) peoples to procreate, lol..
Our rib cage size is not due to becoming omnivores but from us cooking our food. Cooked food requires a lot less intestines to digest since most of the macromolecules we’re already broken down.
I feel like this scoring system is kind of broken: you lose 150 for guessing wrong or the other person guessing correctly, but in the latter case the other person gains points, so it's actually advantageous to guess _incorrectly_ if you're unsure. To wit: First question, Hank answered correctly. Jessi suffered a net loss of 350 points. Second question, Jessi answered incorrectly. Jessi suffered a net loss of 250 points. I'd argue further, but this thing is mostly for fun, anyway, so I'll leave it as a minor grumble.
Michael is an excellent host.
Two Years Later: was that a Homestuck reference
Micheal is awesome!
"The only show that you are watching right now"
I laughed my butt off :)
Yay! Kurzgesagt bird!
but wait, what if it’s NOT???
I love how casual and friendly this show is. It feels like we get to see Hank and Michael and the guests as their normal selves instead of their professional selves.
I LOVE SciShow Quiz show. I want more of it!
ME TOO it is my favorite thing.
That cheeky "Foxley" at the end; got me.
Alleczu The1st Who knew CJ Foxley? I mean, Lee's boyfriend is going to be mad when he finds out... D:
Alleczu The1st FOXLEY...
Bryan Cotto
Yis, he focks Lee. Let's leave dis topic alone, shall we? #Kappa
These three should be in the same room more often- they're hilarious!
I usually know much more of the answers, but this time, I only knew a couple :/
Tabitha DeFreitas I totally agree. Have you seen the episode with the porcupine?
Tabitha DeFreitas We need high school education for that !
Opposite for me :)
Those chemistry questions at the start were quite easy for anyone with chem as a subject.
When hank said "what does a baby look like?" I was like uh hank..you have one. I then noticed this was in 2015 which explains the lack of having a baby but not the question lol
Proves that nerds can teach science and be funny simultaneously.
Please bring these quiz shows back, i learn a lot while being entertained.
Last round should be called "Babality", a special finishing move from Mortal Kombat that turns your oponent into a baby.
Tasos Kozi I think babe-ality would be better but I guess that's just my opinion... :'(
sayem fazal You don't kill the baby. The move just turns them into a baby. The game announces "Babality" and the baby cries, and then the match is over.
I used to play that version of Mortal Kombat a ton. It also had animalities and "Friendship" Finishers. :P
Michael is lookin' damn dapper with that fine SciShow tie... :)
Michael's handsome.
Yes he is!!!
+alguemalguem Everybody on SciShow could be my crush. But Michael has a special place in my heart... _cries into a pillow_
YES!!Very....
Have a Chemisty exam next week, gonna bing watch Scishow as revision
Bing watching always works
Correction, Bing never works.
Every fellow nerd, geek, neckbeard. Has a crush on Jessi.
Back off bro, thas mah gurl
Jonas H I don't have a neckbeard, I have a chin beard. Everything else you stated is correct.
egalomon You and me must be twins.
Also: Emily Graslie man.
Jonas H I agree, she is amazing.
Stefan is really underappreciated. He's great.
this is the most i've laughed in a while. whose idea was it to give chemistry questions in the first round? scishow quiz show is one of my favorite things on youtube right now. level of silliness = perfect.
This is the best episode of SciShow Quiz Show. Absolutely hilarious :)
Hanks shirt also looks like he's wearing suspenders. He should adopt those. Suspenders are cool.
Quiz Show is my favourite part of SciShow. It never fails to make me laugh. ♥
"You studied?"
"Yeah I read through all my Facebook feed." Hahahaha :D
Michael's hair highlighting is inconsistent throughout the video
Ryan Fortune the parts where he's explaining may have been taking at a different time for the actual show.
This show was NOT FAIR! When you pick the field of one competitor and ask only easy questions....
I was initially thinking "hey, her hair looks really good today." And then it panned over to Hank, and damn! His hair looks good today too!
hank's hair always looks good :)
4:40 I love Jessi's confused expression.
"What does a baby look like?"
~Hank Green.
Is it depressing that this isn't the only show I'm watching right now.
No, I watch more than one show all the time
"the only quiz show you're watching right now" he claims, as I am watching this while jeopardy is coming on
Quiz show is my life
Michael will forever be my crush on scishow , he's just so darn good looking (dreamy sigh)
ikn...
Same here 🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐
My favorite part of the quiz show used to be the moment the faux host microphone got pitched off-camera. Please bring it back!
Holy balls, I want that tie
These three are hilarious together! I'd love to see Jessi on another episode!
I paused and answered every question. Got the first 6 right. 1600 points, bet them all.... on sneeze.
Damn it.
ShiShow Quiz Show is my favorite of all the shows.
O: Hank actually wagered smartly this time. Good job. :) So proud of you.
Michael, of all the shows I've watched, this is definitely THE MOST recent.
The few things I love in this world : the words Australopithecus, Neanderthal, flummoxed and those words coming out of Michael Aranda's mouth
More Jessi! I love that Firefly shirt!
I'm watching this while watching What Not to Wear. In your face, Michael!
Jessi is beautiful! Great show, peeps!
forgot to mention that cesium is also liquid at room temperature, and francium likely is (though hasn't been confirmed).
Right.)
Black on black with the SciShow tie - is this SciShow's funeral?
Haha! Great show, guys! And that was a good effort, Jessi, eh! (For what it's worth, I wouldn't have been able to beat Hank on those chemistry questions either, eh.)
So much fun! I always love any videos with Jessi :-)
SciShow, always friendly and informative. Keep up the awesome work guys! You are my favorite channel.
3:36 "I was like "what just happened? I'm right!" " XD
"Round circles, as opposed to square circles" the logic here is overwhelming
"Why does that baby has a tail?"
Because it's a Saiyan baby!

(disclaimer: I'm just some guy, what do I really know?)
Jordan Bartholme You're assuming it's based on pure chance, but it's not.
DanThePropMan Yeah, that's why I started by saying "assuming you are guessing and you know the other person is guessing also".
In the new iteration of quiz show, please keep the host - contestants dynamic the same. I just started rewatching some episodes and they are really fun.
When your baby looks like a ninja turtle.
RELAAATTTABLLLEEEE
Damn! I haven't gotten so many wrong before. Learned a lot though. SciShow Quiz Show is amazing, as is everything from SciShow. Keep it up!!!
This was sooo nerdy...just being real Hank
I think that if both Jessi and Hank did have such an irrational number of babies, it would make an observable impact on the evolution of human brain development. Generations from now the majority of humans will be descendants of these brilliant pair, bringing the collective cognitive function of the entire human race forward, A LOT :D
Sorry, I was distracted by my thoughts. I just feel like it's important for intelligent (also nice) peoples to procreate, lol..
Loving the firefly shirt.
Best show on youtube.
Wow, Fox Kids just got a whole new meaning O.o
I was watching a different show at the same time I was watching this 😂😂😂 my mind in boggled
When Hank said what are baby’s I laughed so hard.
This was great, I learned some stuff and got a laugh.
keep these coming
I want a rematch.. they had too much fun filming this one...
How do you know this is the only show I’m watching right now.
actually I was watching the northern lion super show while watching this
Quizshow is just somehow always way better than I think it would be. I find myself smiling thorugh the whole thing mostly :)
10:22 priceless reaction! haha
Lol awesome!! Every episode with Jessi is a blast
Can we talk about how Hank bet the perfect amount of points
That SciShow necktie has inspired me to want a tie that looks like the raining binary code from "The Matrix."
Our rib cage size is not due to becoming omnivores but from us cooking our food. Cooked food requires a lot less intestines to digest since most of the macromolecules we’re already broken down.
Dear Hank,
Love the Angler fish😻
"I was thinking of round circles... as opposed to square circles."
9:19 HIS FACE IS PRECIOUS
Love your show. And you guys have great sense of humor.
Oh man that joke right at beginning got me good :)
This is my favourite ep yet!
That baby has a tail because Goku.
Jessi's like really great
0:13 False. I wasn't actually watching this video. I was browsing through a series of historical photos while listening to this video.
Mikes hair changes colour a lot in this video :D
Judging by the description of bromine, sounds like it is also naturally occurring in TH-cam comment sections. (Zing!)
You know, considering how often he looses this game, maybe Hank deserves a few freebies.
Hank is definatley tappin that.
Being from Montana and all, how baked do these guys get before shooting these episodes LOL!
Yes! This is what I have been waiting for!! 😂
This is a fantastic show. Entertaining host/guest and great facts.
sorry, the thumbnail gave me the impression that there was a table with a mountain of blow on it and Hank was in the process of indulging.
"Hank has a thousand babies"
Hank's bet was a brilliant one.
Can't decide if I like these better when I know the answer, don't know the answer, or derive the right answer. The answer is D : all of the above.
I loved this intro! Do it every time!
I feel like this scoring system is kind of broken: you lose 150 for guessing wrong or the other person guessing correctly, but in the latter case the other person gains points, so it's actually advantageous to guess _incorrectly_ if you're unsure. To wit:
First question, Hank answered correctly. Jessi suffered a net loss of 350 points.
Second question, Jessi answered incorrectly. Jessi suffered a net loss of 250 points.
I'd argue further, but this thing is mostly for fun, anyway, so I'll leave it as a minor grumble.
Jessi, I'm loving the Firefly t-shirt!
This one was pretty amusing and fun!
This is one of my fav quiz shows.!!!
Best Firefly T-Shirt.
"round circles as opposed to square circles"
