To everyone hating on Alesso for playing a set that A) Flows well. and B) Fits a festival. you need to realize somethin, he can't play strictly progressive house. For multiple reasons. One reason is that he's progressing and experimenting as an artist. Another reason is he's playing music he enjoys and that he's happy to play for a crowd. He isn't ignoring his long term fans. He gave us the best parts of his set, the intro and the last 15-20 minutes. I've been listening to him since around when Clash was released and I stick by him because I know he's growing as an artist and making music that he enjoys making.

Many people just go there for bragging rights. They don't even know anyone who's playing,and sometimes don't even like the music or understand why it's so popular. But I agree that shit needs to stop
its about 95% of people like that that go to fetivals now..just in it for the popularity... the rest 5% know their shit and can tell you that this ultra was nothing more then a radio show with glorified pop/hip-hop by 90% of the mainstage acts....Ultra really on a shit slide
Thats why smaller festivals are better in my opinion. Even all genre festivals are good because when an DJ is playing everyone at that stage is ready to party. I saw Martin Garrix at a festival like that and it was absolutely bonkers for an hour straight
Guys music is evolving constantly and progressive house is simply not as popular anymore. Alesso is one of the few people that still play it at the big stages. Look at his remix of something just like this" for example. He played trap for a combined 6 min of a 60 min set and even though I dislike it I accept it. The switching between music styles is why I rate him as my favourite DJ live. The bass house, jungle terror, progressive mix make it amazing for me!

That intro.... took my breath away! I've loved Alesso for many years now and while this set was perfect for Ultra Miami mainstage, it's certainly not one of Alesso's best sets. I don't blame him, a DJ has to please the crowd to some aspect and he does that well. All in all I'd give this set a 7.5/10.

I'll tell you what, this is probably one of the better DJ performances I have witnessed in along time. Alesso takes you on an emotional journey through his universe of EDM. It's fascinating to listen to every note and beat played of this mix. He does a fantastic job mixing the appropriate songs together, ending it all on a happy note. Would be great to see him in Hollywood, CA in October 2018.

tbh ultra has become a shit show especially this year, most people are saying it sucked, it used to be good from like 2008-2013. If you wanna go to somthing good id save my money and head to tommorowland
