I did a duel clutch set up , still got the lever for first and emergency stops , i live in a tourist town so quick stops hapoen often ....all custom made by me
I ve been doing that 25 years i found out where the cable hook on shifter lower it down to the middle ,as it is now should be IN ,& OUT , ive done same on Big Twins Evo & Twin cams the same way I've been riding Handshifters & foot clutch since 1980
We are all gluttons for more videos, thanks for what you put up. Just stumbled onto your channel, and thanks for the music selections, sounds good to me.
great minds think alike man. I did my shifter exactly the same way you did. came to youtube to see it I could find a someone that found a way to hillbilly the clutch cable to the foot shifter and here I am seeing your video. PLEASE SHOW HOW YOU DID IT.
What year Sporty is that, and what tank (year and model) is that? Did you find a way to get the speedometer and gas gauge to work? I was told that each model's speedometer is calibrated for that bike, so you can't use other ones. I have two 2003 Sportsters, and one has a Softail tank. On the previous Softail tank that I had on it, I had the gas gauge wires hooked up to the key ignition, which I had relocated underneath the wires. You should be able to do the same thing.
Good deal buddy, great video & wut most of us wanna hear is cheap!!! I'm fixin to attempt the same & I'm thinkin i can keep the original clutch cable on bkuz I was gonna put a stick shift about gas tank height.. lemme know if I'm pissin in the wind...
I want to make a jockey shifter for my Electra glide standard this would be a great way to test and see if that 900 lb bike would be even rideable then I can refine if it does
If you look at the yellow bike there in the little circle that's the one I built and it has an original suicide clutch on it my own design if you look closely you can see the crystal door knob
Cool man. You did good. Keep up the good work. From East Tennessee.
