- I played 100 days of Stardew Valley only making money through Foraging. Can I complete all of the Joja bundles and make a total of 500,00G?

I believe the challenge can be optimised.
1. Since you can't make profit off any non-forageable, you can still use them to craft and build, but here's a third one: what about farming for the skill? You can buy cheap seeds and plant them in order to level up farming and eventually get both sets of sprinklers. Just eat or give away what you can't sell.
2. The community center: getting a Joja subscription is valid, but there are things to be gained from the community center, like the Seed Maker which can be combined with the above method, or the Crystalarium which can help with gifts. So if you combine fishing, farming, and the Witch's cart, you can potentially fill the community center and reap all the best rewards from that.
3. Animals. Animal products are all under Farming, however Truffles give Foraging exp and are affected by the Gatherer and Botanist proffessions I say they are fair game. So if you do manage to get over the incredibly steep cost of getting a barn and upgrading it twice, you can set up a steady income that will eventually cover up the expenses, even better: if you do pick Botanist, we are talking about potentially getting 2,500 G per pig per non-rainy day.
So if you try this challenge again, or continue this one to see where you get in 200 days, please take these into account.
Something that would be pretty cool to see would be how close to perfection can you get in 100 days.

Yeah I expect so, I feel like the main problem would be the museum, cooking and the money needed for the obelisks and gold clock

All except cooking, friendship crafting maybe possible not sure of any particularly annoying recipes off top of head, I almost did that in a 2 year perfection challange a while ago and was just very lazy about friendship and money since wasn't in a rush and its only like 13mill
i just watched you complete day 21 and i literally searched up how many days it takes for spring seeds to grow because i thought it took them 8 days not 7.

You caught my mistakes lol, i was running out of time to get 100 days done so i increased my speed lol and I should not edit late at night 😂
@@GamerGarYT those mistakes actually reminded me how mind-numbing this challenge would be and it was really funny too, made me laugh while i was bored out of my mind and trying to write an essay (I write essays on things i don't understand to hopefully understand those topics)

I loved doing the challenge. I didn't like editing the challenge. It took ages lol.
Perhaps next time I'll do 10 days then edit 10 days until I have 100.
From day one keep finding Carolyn and speaking to her until you can gift her Parsnips. At 2 hearts she'll give you the Tea Tree recipe and turn all those seeds into tons of money. Then repeat this every season while doing the other things. Your money will increase massively. After Carolyn send you the tea tree recipe you can ignore her if you wish.
Its classified as "farming", thats probably why he didnt utilize that strat
Truly this is one of the most 100 days challenges of all time!
Jokes aside, I really appreciate the uniqueness of this challenge and I feel your pain... If I was doing it I would've just focused on getting the golden watering can as soon as possible.

I wonder if you would consider doing a fishing focused run?
I'm trying to do a playthrough of having fish ponds for every single fish including the crab pot types so clams, crabs etc. The items fish ponds request could pose a real fun challenge.
Also imagine catching every fish in 100 days.
Plus the ways to make money from fishing could be from the fish, fish ponds, roe, aged roe, crab pots and selling fish recipes. Lots to explore. 😀

You would have to catch the ledgend in spring to have a chance at that challenge lol.
@@GamerGarYT I know. It would be quite the challenge to pull off and would probably take some planning to figure out how to get the level ups, rod and buffs to pull it off.
Someone did a challenge to catch every fish in 1 day... and succeeded. It's insane.
I would not have had the patience to keep this up for 100 days! It is surprising how profitable it was. Thank you, very original video!
Maybe a way to get you closer to your money goal would be crafting some of the wild seeds into tea saplings, great video. It’s fun for me to use foraging for money in balance with other incomes in normal playthroughs.
I had thought of that when I was playing but i thought tea saplings would be considered more as farming rather than foraging, if I had I think it would have pushed me over 500k.

that's wild I just did this exact same run on my channel last week lol same 500k goal
needless to say we had a wildly different approach/rules lol but still equally repetitive!

@@GamerGarYT I went for the thousands and thousands of wild seeds route, basically watering forage crops for 100 days. i went with no upgrades and no mines for the run and that made it soooooooo brutal! I'm doing a mining only 100 days if you're up for a challenge lol
i think you could have made more money if you switched to the profession that increases tapper goods by 25% i think, and sold all them at the end and switched back to get iridium winter forage cos they sell more individually than when you craft into seed packets - also could you have gotten the farming level up from planting mixed seeds and eating the crops for energy instead of selling? also technically if you preserved foraged fruits into jelly that would still count no?
Im also shocked you didnt get level ten from everything you did - perhaps you could've upgraded the axe faster or chopped more trees - even the little ones in the way give xp i think?
If you did this same run, but befriended Caroline to 2 hearts, you could make an absolute killing selling tea saplings at the end of each season. 4 forageables makes 10 seeds, plus some fiber and wood makes 5 saplings which are 500 each. It's actually crazy money early game. Caroline 2 hearts is how to max foraging

@@briantroy7376 I found out over the months from people commenting singing praises on how good tea sapplings are lol.
Kinda surprised that you didn't offload your products earlier in summer so you could get the 45k for the bus so on the 27th you could have traded summer seeds for fall seeds at the desert trader (Saturday trade) so you could start the season with 200+ fall seeds

As a similar challenge, is it possible to plant only wild seeds (no purchasing seeds etc) to complete the community center (not jojo's lol)
Good idea!
I don't think that's possible. For example: you need a green bean for the spring crops, which is never in the mixed seeds. Of course, you could try the travelling cart, but that sounds like really hating yourself - and I'm not sure it even is possible to show up in the cart.
That being said, I'd love to see it!
Its possible but so luck based that it is basically impossible. Only way since wild seeds dont have every crop you need is to hope to get them from lucky rooms in skull cavern. You could play for a hundred year and still not get the right seeds.

Once you unlock the sewers, you can buy 1 iridium sprinkler every Friday for 10k from krobus

In the early game you should have been giving caroline gifts to unlock tea saplings they sell for more than wald seeds

Another idea that might be interesting is money generated from trash. I don't just mean trash cans (those could be included) but using the recycling machine to recycle all the trash and how much that could make. It could get repetitive fishing in the lava lake or ponds for trash so maybe 28 days instead of 100 but I bet it would be interesting how much money recycling machines could make.
I think the best thing you can get from a recycling machine is cloth when you hand in soggy newspapers but it's a low chance :)
@@GamerGarYT think the chance is 1 in 10 for cloth. Refined quartz isn't bad and there's a chance for coal from driftwood and iron ore from trash. Not huge money makers but useful 👍

I am probably missing something,but why did you use cheat mods for speed and instabreak? No hate,still loved the video
I was running out of time to get the 100 day vid done so I used some mods to speed up certain days to progress faster to save time in real life. After I made that video I made sure going forward I had alot more time on my hands when crafting the future 100 day videos i made. Good spot tho :D.

I think you may have been slightly more successful had you gone for fruit instead of mushrooms. You gain forage XP with fruit and you can let it build up over the season and don't need to spend a bunch of time gathering every 3 days.
The mushrooms generate every day so it was a good way to earn additional money :)
I thought mushrooms only generate every three days.
