Always feel sorry for the person who gets the first burger cooked and the person that gets the last one... Guess there's no easy way to do a restaurant challenge when you need 50 smash patties at the same time! But if there isn't a rule against it I'm ripping that burger apart and dumping half a bottle of cold water on the patties first, fries will absorb it and be easier to chew afterwards too :P Then you could have had a sub 3 minute time, but hey, now you can improve the time next year!
Yea I think I was the unlucky one to get the really hot one straight off the grill, same with my buddy Carl. There isn't any dunking allowed in most British Eating League contests unfortunately as otherwise I would have..but maybe next time I'll pour water over it good idea!
