Hey Little Girl. It's a scary song for me. Why is she so alone? But what's going on? ICEHOUSE...... A totally amazing band! Changed music forever..... Under rated. GENIUS.
Because she took her admirer for granted, and indulged with other men to get on. Then she was left alone after indulging, and there was her admirer from childhood still there for her.
@@fabonzanaon8177 Funnily enough I had an admirer from my teens. I gave him an opportunity to go out with me, and he chose to go back to his long-term girlfriend (they had split up) and years later they did not get married to each other. Time moved on, and when I bumped into him, he realised and said he wish he had been with me. He was married and had children, too late!

A lot of Aussie bands were very sharp during that period. Mental as Anything, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, Died Pretty, The Church and of course Iva Davies' Icehouse

I can still feel the exitement of getting ready to go out, no worries in my world, with my whole life and the promise of a fantastic adventure still ahead of me. I never had a broken heart or gave one, still had all my loved ones round me and was the happiest I have ever been. Wish I could go back and live every precious moment of those years again. We who were having the time of our young lives in the eighties were surely the luckiest of all.
One of the 80's very best songs- brilliant
Great song, remember hearing it on the radio and thinking it was Roxy Music.
Yes i can definitely hear the Bryan Ferry twang.
Same here. Always thought it was them until now
Amazing
Still a golden hit in 2023 for me ! An eternal great song !
True 🤝
Super smooth vocals. Sounds just like Bryan Ferry.
Right! And in other songs , he sounds like Bowie
A lot of people at the time thought it was Roxy.
Love this group. In the 80's I was part of the security detail when Icehouse visited Nelson New Zealand. Amazing night of music and connection with the audience which I will never forget 😁
Epic! :)
Greetings from Germany!
Such a great, moody sounding classy 80's track from the New Romantic era. Fab.
His voice is haunting, I love listening to him. Today's music is so lacking umph.
today's music is like wallplaster
brilliant song❤
I thought it was David Sylvian from Japan first time I heard this song
totally agree with you
I love this song. Absolutely fantastic. Something about it sends shivers down my spine... Icehouse you are an inspiration to Oz and we love you.
Timothy Brown.. and we still do, one of my favourite bands...🇳🇿 NZ
We love you Australia😁from Canada✌️
It's time to go back to the 80s we all got on so well
When i hear it ,i'am 40 years younger ❤😊
Amazing song, beautiful photography...
One of the best songs in the world.
Yes it is!
I love this song, very haunting melody, it reminds me of when I was eighteen and out on a first date. I'm fifty nine now.
That's so sweet Mandy. Bless you.
Born in 66 and to young to watch england win there only world cup , it was made up by living through the 70s , and best of all the 80s , best times ever , gave me my best memories , being at school which i loved , oblivious to anything going on in the world , just getting on with life , the best music and television , so wish i could relive them times and if i had the chance i would take my kids with me to show them how good it was as the world they are being brought into now is full of so many negative things x
It's science. This is elite music ! There will be nothing like this ever.
Hey Little Girl. It's a scary song for me. Why is she so alone? But what's going on?
ICEHOUSE...... A totally amazing band!
Changed music forever..... Under rated. GENIUS.
Indeed!
Because she took her admirer for granted, and indulged with other men to get on. Then she was left alone after indulging, and there was her admirer from childhood still there for her.

Yes, men with no self respect will wait many years for such a “moment“ instead of abandoning ship for good. What a pity.
Never scary my music friend 😉 x bring back the 80s.. my daughter & mine tune 'A Classic' ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜x
i heard it age 10, affected me deeply, 49 now, still affected.. just shows time is NOT linear
I'm 60 now if I could go back in time definitely 70s and 80s they were the best and still played now
Love the ice-cold sound of early 80s synth pop!
Wasn't it just amazing?!
True music.
Just it.
! ÑñVv vñ vvv
This is one of those effortlessly cool sounding songs that is irresistible from the 1980s. Playing relentlessly...
Cooler than the other side of the pillow 😂
'... effortlessly cool'. Yep, definitely the best description I've ever heard for this. 👍
Glad I'm 60 I really appreciated all these 80s songs in UK night clubs
Love this song much. Just beautiful. I'm so glad I grew up in this era of amazing music. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Take me with you, please. I wouldn't screw things up this time. 😢
@@rw8733 🙂👍
I miss it too sometimes 💟
Per me indubbiamenteil migliore pezzo musicale di ICEHOUS💘
Haven't heard this song since I was a kid and it gives me goosebumps , still sounds fresh
I was Born 1963 all the Musical in the 80s aretimeless!!I hear IT every Day when i have the time!I love the music!!
For a long time I was thinking that this song was sang by Brian Ferry and, man, we can say their voices are almost similar 😉 Beautifull song anyhow from a big music era 🤩
Not just the voice but the backing music is very Roxy Music.
I am on board. Very close indeed.
This song and singer is 100 % inspired by Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music… love it.. ❤
Me too!! Last september I became 50 years old! Drinking cup off koffie Just arround the correner in my favoriete lunch room. And the radio was one. Then suddenly the radio sended me back in a beautyfull periode! I Iove this song!!!
had this on my cassette tape on repeat as a young boy in the 80s and now i finally watching the video for the first time. 32 years later mind you,
Sublime, sad, and pure. One of the best songs from that era.
Im 74, I discovered them by buying Primitive Man in the 1980s in Jackson
Wyoming. Glad I did.
This song is so complicated when you analyze it yet it's deceptively simple. Icehouse is purely brilliant.
Haha...born in 53.... I've been there ,seen it all, bought the teashirt...and still loving the music....Never ever lose the thrill of a great Band..Great Choone.....I will spend my eternity dancing
Perfection - 80s music took me to a church - it was a religion. Keep the faith 🙏
I am 68 years old
This song is burnt in in my heart forever
Takes me back into the early eighties when music was so expressive and understandable, alas not like now. Anybody agree ?
Totally agree. But its not only expression its the worth. I remember saving to buy LPs and I loved my record collection. It meant more. Nowadays its all downloaded illegally and there is a sense of entitlement that is insatiable. Meaning noone plays albums anymore its all listen to a single twice then onto the next download
Yo
agree gr mark
Cant agree more! Today’s music is sole less.
yes todays music is soleless indeed. agree whit it..gr. mark
1983. I was 17. Fond memories of this song. What a time to be young. Miss you Cath.❤
DAVID BOWIE ONCE Described his voice as a liquid gold ,
🙏🏼
He sounded a bit like Bowie and before I knew better I thought No Promises was a Bowie song.
NOT David Bowie, Is Iva Davies.
I agree!...
Iva - you are da man
one of the best 80s songs
Born in the 60's I think we had the best music ever what years we grew up in period.
Even my kids now all grown up admitted how jealous of our generation's music.
Aussies provided lot of musically blessed bands during the 80's
Nowere near as many as the brits
A lot of Aussie bands were very sharp during that period. Mental as Anything, Midnight Oil, Divinyls, Died Pretty, The Church and of course Iva Davies' Icehouse
@@terrythekittieful : Yes terrythekittie 😉
@Gabriel Saviank crowded house neil finn is from new zealand
Almost as much as the Brits
Beautiful voice🎤
Great song🌟
One way ticket back to the 80s please! Don't need to say anymore.
