  • The Walls of Ávila are located in the Spanish city that bears the same name.
The wall of Ávila is a Romanesque military fence that surrounds the old town of Ávila, capital of the province of the same name, in the autonomous community of Castilla y León. The wall, along with the old town and several churches located outside the walls, were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. The walls are the most outstanding universal symbol and monument that the city of Ávila houses. Its importance derives from being the best preserved medieval walled enclosure in Spain and probably in all of Europe.
Likewise, the Plaza del Ejército is located inside the city, and in it the Church of San Pedro Apóstol and the monument to Santa Teresa de Jesús stand out.
