The scripture reminds us to study to show ourselves approved , Jesus was just being a child about his father’s business, he was dedicated to the word. We need to do the same, and we would likewise grow in stature and favor from God. I have seen where Preachers preach about Jesus at the age of 12, and have a big laugh about him getting a whooping, this is especially in black churches. That’s news to me. All I’ve ever understood from God working in my life, is that He WANTS us to pursue knowledge. But the right kind of knowledge which is of God. Hosea 4:6 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Proverbs 19:2 2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way. But maybe I didn’t quite understand how prophet Lovy meant that. Sometimes it takes me a while to catch up to what he’s saying. 😊
