It is in Greece, because I saw on a large marble block, written in blue spray paint the word "Caution" written in Greek script. Greece is famous for its good quality marbles, from which they built the Acropolis.
This is a famous Greek quarry. You may see the words "ΕΤΟΙΜΟ" (meaning "Ready") on a slab to be sliced off and "ΣΕ ΔΙΑΣΤΑΣΗ" (meaning "In dimension") on another slab loaded on a flatbed truck. Three things are amazing in this video: The power of the machinery, the skills of their operators and the unique quality of the Greek white marble. Kudos to the uploader!
Amazing overhead view at 45:44 Just think, back in Michelangelo's day this type of marble quarry work was done by hand & draft animals. Nevertheless, even with huge power equipment this is a modern marvel. I'd like to see how the straight vertical & horizontal cuts are done to form the blocks.
The cuts are done with cable and water from the left side then makes a cut from underneath after that’s through they take a custom drill tip and knock a square off it
There is alot about that time period that has been hidden and destroyed. There is evidence those sculpture's had advanced tech thats been lost. Google the best marble sculptures and you will see the tools claimed to be used can not perform like this
This is really COOL!!! I also like that it is 3 hours long.. I watched about 2 hours of it.. I couldn't stop.. .LOL.. Added to my favorites list to watch. Thank you. .Well done of the skill set of the operators in the equipment.. and thank the Quarry owner(s) for allowing you to gather the video footage..
This is why I firmly believe that the Giants before the flood built the pyramids, and other huge structures we have found. The Holy Bible plainly describes the Giants which once roamed the Earth.

They do a lot of damage when extracting marble blocks. Since it is very difficult to remove large blocks, they could have divided the blocks into smaller pieces beforehand.
I would think, after all these centuries of marble usage, that they'd figure out a way to get those big vertical blocks to horizontal without losing half of them to shattering in the process.

It may look wasteful, but the quarry will be working to a cost-per-ton equation. In such circumstances, the extra care and time taken would only inflate the cost of the quarrying and thereby, inflate the cost to the end consumer. Also, if the marble is this abundant, the quarry operator can afford such apparent waste/inefficiency - there’s always more!
Good stuff! First class operation! Where is the quarry located? Could it be the largest marble quarry in the world? How long has it been in operation? Do you ship Globally?
me watching this at 1 am, cool stuff

Ridiculous level of skill set needed to do this job and the driving skill was insane. I have a whole new appreciation for where marble comes from.

Nevermind the insane amount of concentration required to finger the controls of those massive hydraulics. Respect.

Watching with my sons on our new 55 inch tv - what an absolutely awesome 3 hours, we are all mad for excavators, wheel loaders and dump trucks.
Have a nice Sunday
It looks like it's on the verge of the rock cliff, amazing. I'm sure the drivers will also be able to ride at 70 on Anacapri !!!
Камень наверное единственный экологичный материал, которого хватит человечеству навсегда.
Watch the komatsu wheel loader with a capacity of over 20,000 kitchen tables work perilously at this marble quarry.
Thats a large capacity loader... 20,000 kitchen tables. I once saw a loader that could do about 17,000 kitchen tables...
Extremely dangerous work, snd requires the best of the best operators, these guys are skilled more than you would imagine.
bad loader operators, going to break the pins lifting heavy like that with the ass end up
Amazing machines.... awesome operators. 😱🥰
Dump truck and loader lower at the same time when loading just great
I'm watching first time the marble construction ....cool😊

Cool. Stuff
Expensive marble mine. Cool. WA800.. wow!
Your cooperation is like computer settings, very team work👍
When these large wheel loaders struggle with the marble blocks, then they are really heavy
Yep. They weigh 240,000 lbs and can curl 149,000. Its hard to tell on video but a 6' person doesn't even stand as tall as the tires.

That 988B screaming gives me nightmares. It’s a beast though.
Very interesting operation...every bit of it!!! I'll be watching this multiple times.
I remember visiting this quarry... In MW2 multiplayer mode
Sabırsızlıkla bekliyorum ohhh
Beautiful man work
👍👍 💪💪
And mainstream archeology will have us believe they did this with ropes, people, copper chisels, and wooden hammers. Right.

It's like watching a balet dancer performing while doing some powerlifting on a ledge over a cliff!
I've worked on these and larger machines at airports. They put 30 foot wide 6 foot tall snowplow blade's on them for plowing in the winter months!!!
This is why I firmly believe that the Giants before the flood built the pyramids, and other huge structures we have found. The Holy Bible plainly describes the Giants which once roamed the Earth.
Well said brother
I could never run a machine that big so close to a cliff
And thats why nobody will remember your name.

I like the loader, the shape is strong and sturdy
Beautiful arial shots
On the Evergreen Valley map, in a similar quarry, I mine marble using the same method.
Why do they bother to cut the stone so perfectly if they are going to bust it all to hell anyway?
