Just discovered your channel, wow ,, the fact that you can safely cook a whole chicken in a instant pot has changed my life🤣🤣 i live in Brisbane, Australia , lived here 12 yrs, but i am from Yorkshire, England, i make a traditional "Sunday roast ,,every Sunday for my family " watching your video has saved me so much time, i now get to sit in the garden, instead of checking to oven all the time 😊❤ thankyou

I absolutely LOVE your videos! We live full time in a small RV and my 3-quart instant pot makes cooking and clean-up easy and efficient by cooking using less power because it’s faster and using less water for clean-up. Thank you SO much for these delicious chicken recipes.

Cream cheese chicken chili…. It’s sitting in my instant pot right now…. Just stirred in the cream cheese and OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! It is sooo yummy! I used my own canned corn and tomatoes so that makes it even better! This recipe is definitely a keeper! Thank you so much!

works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again. This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

A tip for the corn in the shredded chicken tacos: If you have time, sauté the corn
in a pan to lightly char it for added flavor. 😋

We made the Honey Sesame Chicken. I love how simple, easy and delicious your recipes are. I already have all the ingredients without having to go shopping. I was so afraid of using our instant pot when we got it. It sat in the box for at least 6 months. I saw your videos and you gave me the confidence to use it. We love our instant pot so much that we bought a second one. Thank you!
UPDATE: The chicken was delicious. I poured some of the sauce over the leftover rice for my hubby's lunch yesterday. He loved it. 2nd UPDATE: my husband loves this recipe so much that he asks for it at least once a week.. LOL

    • @Cassiea255
      @Cassiea255 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@sunshinegypsea I used thawed chicken breasts so it only took 20 mins. Kristen usually says that thawed chicken is 20 minutes and frozen is 25 minutes. Based on that I'm pretty sure you can cook it with either.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who felt intimidated by that pot, I bought mine earlier this month and it arrived I've last week, but I didn't do the water test until just a little earlier and I barely got up the courage to do that end some hard boiled eggs afterwards. I promised my 2 best friends that I would try to have already made something by the time they come this Thursday so that I can fix up something for all 3 of us when they come over to hang out. Mission accomplished!

    • @Lavenderrose73

@sunshinegypsea Nice thing about it not mattering if you start with frozen or with thawed is that You can put a favorite TV show on while your pot is doing its thing. I'm a Law & Order SVU fan, so even if I started from frozen, I guess it would be done in about one episode's time or less. 😊

If you ever need to measure something sticky spray a small bit of Pam on the measuring spoon/cup first. It's such a small amount it won't affect your recipe, but it makes clean up so much easier. Also, spray some Pam in your Tupper wear before putting something tomato based in it to prevent staining.

It’s funny - she accidentally says to put it on venting instead of sealing. Of course that’s backwards because she also says to add a cup of water so it will pressurize and she also says to put it on manual and cook it for 7 minutes and then Quick release.

Love your dog too. Everything I’ve learned above the instant pot is from six sisters I love their videos. It’s been a couple of years now and 99 % of my cooking is done with the instant pot. RIBS
How Long to Cook Ribs in the Instant Pot
Use a Dry Rub. To start your ribs on a delicious note, cover them generously with a delicious dry rub.
      * Baby Back Ribs: 23 minutes on high pressure + 5 minutes natural release.
      * Spare Ribs: 35 minutes on high pressure + complete natural release. Do not vent the spare ribs immediately. Because the meat is tougher, it needs the full natural release to become tender.
      Broil for Bonus Flavor
      * After the ribs are finished cooking, I like to brush them with BBQ sauce and place them under the broiler for a few minutes. Broiling lightly crisps the top, and the sauce becomes extra sweet and thick.
      Serving Instant Pot Ribs
      * Instant Pot Ribs, 2 Racks: For a crowd, you can cook two racks of Instant Pot ribs at the same time. Simply place two racks on the trivet, overlapping one inside the other if needed. The pressure cook time does not change (though it will take the Instant Pot longer to come to pressure initially).
      * Sauce It Up: While you don’t *need* extra barbecue sauce on the side, my personal favorite way to eat ribs is good and slathered. Look for sauce without high fructose corn syrup…though I admit that unless I’m making the barbecue sauce from scratch, ribs with Sweet Baby Ray’s do always seem to be a hit.
      * Side Dish Ideas: Instant Pot ribs and potatoes is a classic combo. Try these easy Crock Pot Baked Potatoes, make-ahead Crockpot Breakfast Potatoes (not just for breakfast!) crispy Baked Fries, or keep it simple with potato chips.
      Enjoy ‼️

Great recipe and very flavorful! I'm doing a whole30 so I subbed coconut aminos for soy sauce and used my homemade ketchup. I also added a little ginger paste and rice vinegar for brightness. Scrumptious!

Oh, that's awesome, I was _wondering_ how long it would take to make a whole chicken if I wanted to do that. I'm a dark meat person, but I'm also a bone broth person, so I'll already have the bones there, and I'll be ready for that after cooking off the chicken.
I also appreciate knowing that it is possible to cook a whole chicken from frozen if I didn't want to take the time to thaw it 1st. 😊

Thats awsome; thx! I'm a single guy. My kid's are off on they're own now. My Son found the Insta Pot in College. We bought one for my Daughter w/ 3 lil' girl's(1 on the way); I got one. I got one for my Neighbor with two boy's; bought one for my lil Brother(his Wife cannot cook at all). I been getting my old Army buddies and gamer friends to buy one and watch your video's.
I'll get done doing streaming and gaming about 11-12 midnight and starving. I'll just throw stuff in the Insta Pot following y'alls recipes. Love them. I'm starting to put together your pre frozen gladlock bags.

Keep up the good work. I do not have an Instant Pot, just a digital pressure cooker. Cooked the spicy chicken and rice without the rice in pressure cooker. Added minute Jasmine rice, two bags and let sit for 2 minutes in mix. No wonder it is one of your favorites. Mistake second time around....doubled recipe and place 2 cups of jasmine rice in pressure cooker and added 3 more minutes, not my suggestion (husband). LOL. Stick to previous way or checking out original timing in pressure cooker with rice as recommended. Oh and perfect toppings for us were some black olives, shredded cheese, and some chopped onions. YUM.

How does the timing of each recipe change if the chicken is thawed (or fresh) instead of frozen?
Can I replace the Ketchup in all those recipes with like, tomatoes?... Or tomato paste? (because Ketchup just really doesn't do it for me). What do you think?
(maybe also a bit of sugar with the tomato paste? As Ketchup has a tooooooon of sugar)
Also, can you link those bear claws? They look very useful 😁

I ever use chicken breasts but boneless skinless chicken thighs. We find them more tender and flavorful. They do give off more liquid than breasts. I just cut back on added liquid. Any other suggestions when using thighs?
