Tiramisu - Total Desi Jugad 😀
This is NOT an authentic Tiramisu; but have conceptualized it given the lockdown phase causing limited supplies of ingredients and expensive bakeries & cafes where many people may find Tiramisu too expensive to buy. Also the actual finger biscuits are not available in most parts of Asia even today. And my apologies to Italian friends, this is not to downgrade the authentic Tiramisu but to rather is a tribute to my love for Italian food; causing me to create an Indian version.

Ingredients :
1ltr milk
1pcs lemon
Water
1 tbs oil(optional)
2 tbs powder sugar
Vanilla essence(optional)
1 cup whipped cream/fresh cream 200 grm
1.5 tbsp coffee
Plain Rusks (look for ones without cardamom or souf)
A small chocolate slab(grated chocolate)
Some cocoa powder/drinking chocolate
Rum (if making for adults, else avoid)
Method -
To make cream cheese :
Pour 1 ltr milk in a pan and bring it to a gentle boil
Keep adding 1pcs lemon juice(diluted with same amount of water)until the milk cracks.
Now take the mixture into a muslin/clean cloth and squeeze off the excess water from the cloth.
Take out the paneer in a chopper jar/mixer jar and grind it well to make it smooth.
Add 1 tbs oil(optional for smooth texture)
Add a pinch of salt.
Add some leftover water(from paneer) to the jar and mix it well to get a creamy consistency.
Add 2 tbs powder sugar and again mix it well(can add vanilla essence - optional)
Pour some cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of whipped cream/fresh cream 200 grm, mix it well.
To set Tiramisu :
Take some plain toasts/rusks in a flat bowl(with no elaichi flavour)
Pour some diluted coffee on it.(1.5 tbsp coffee with 1/4th cup of lukewarm water)
(You can also add some rum to make it boozy - optional)
Add a thick layer of cream cheese on the toasts/rusks.
Put some grated chocolate over it(optional)
Then add a second layer of toasts/rusk on it and follow the same procedure above.
Pour some drops of remaining whipped cream and cream cheese on it.(with the help of a piping bag)
Dust some cocoa powder on it/a layer of drinking chocolate(if you want to avoid bitterness of coffee)
Keep the bowl in refrigerator for four hours to set it well.
And then your Jugadu Home Made Tiramisu is ready, Serve it chilled.

I tried this Jugadu tiramisu, awesome recipe, till now i have prepared it 3-4 times, and everytime it comes out to be so yummy. My family likes it alot, specially my mother, she is so fond of it.

I hv made it and it’s really good and easy jugadu tiramisu 😀👌.... I wud like to share some tips might help u while making...try to use butter instead of oil it gives weird flavor...and wipped cream will be really good option instead of heavy cream...u can keep ur blinder in fridge and make easily wipped cream in mixer without hand mixture....soak the toast very well with coffee...I hv kept it for 3-4 hours it wasn’t soaked completely nd taste was not coming good...this is very good dessert option for guest even bdy cake also
This is not her original recipe that’s why those flaws remain. She has copied the paneer idea from another channel.

You explained it so nicely.... I don't know what's wrong with few people... We don't get most ingredients needed for tiramisu everywhere in india and hence I would go for this

Hi...looks very good if I use fresh cream then do I need to add sugar n gelatin as amuls fresh cream is liquidy

Okay.... So I tried this out since my mom always wanted to try this out...I am a 14 year old...My mom and dad were sooo impressed with me...They literally bomb blasted everyone with this news....Talking about this recipe....It was sooooooooo delicious..... Like it just melted in my mouth.... The slight taste of coffee made it amazing... The place where you will have to focus the most is the cream.. Make sure you add some sugar in the whipped cream too....When you are mixing the cream and whipped cream... It will look glazy yet moist.... The best way to know your cream is perfect is to have a taste test.... And if it tastes nice.... Go for it.
Instead of curdling the milk and adding ingredients.... Directly buy a block of paneer and add the ingredients
Note: When you will make the coffee concoction.... Put more water in the coffee powder.... Otherwise it will taste bitter.... That's it.. ❤✨

Nice jugaad. But why not make mascarpone?. The diff bet cream cheese and mascarpone is the fat content which makes mascarpone way more creamier. Just heat amul cream and add lemon juice then strain in the fridge. Delicious mascarpone is ready. Make custard out of the strained whey. Then gently mix into the mascarpone. This consistency will give you a more authentic tiramisu like consistency. Do try it
Can I use delecta cream cheese?
Yes can. But look for mascarpone cheese if u get that it will be best
If we have to travel with tiramisu and take it somewhere, will it be bad for 3 or 4 hours or not?

Same here with me when I made it was bit dry
You should completely soak the rusks in coffee water and then place in casserole. Not just pour it by spoon. My be that's why it was dry. I'm not exactly sure why it was dry tho. Thought this might help.
