Excellent stuff. I had this reading for a class and it was completely stumping me. This made it much easier to understand what the article was trying to tell me. Very concise and well-spoken, and touches on every major part.
What a great video. You did very well in explaining the concepts in this article, and a year later people are indeed still watching this. Good job, mate.
Your content is so wonderfully understandable! I thought Epoch Philosophy and plasticpills would be better than you but you, sir, are very underrated. I dread the moment when you hang up your boots. Oh well, fortunately there are tons of your videos left for me to enjoy.
Nice video. You are bold to risk accusations of mansplaining, but your gentle presentation is very disarming. Thank you for presenting these thoughts to some audiences who may not have been exposed otherwise. I have to disagree on one point. Suggesting that caucasians or non-blacks having dreadlocks is one sure form of cultural appropriation is like saying to wear rainbows is culturally appropriating queer culture, or whatever we are calling gay identity this week. Dreadlocks, rainbows, these are natural phenomena. Shamanic and other nature oriented people from all cultures have had dreadlocks. It is simply what happens when we are focused on other things and let the hair go. Just because a group has made it part of their identity, like the rainbows, does not mean it belongs to them alone as a cultural symbol. Anyway, thank you for the video. Watching you talk about these topics restores my faith in humanity. 😍
First off everyone knows Japanese are top-tier on the "conquering" scale, lets get that out of the way. I can definitely understand "whiteness" being desired aspect. I'm a brown American man, while my mujer is from Mexico. Funny thing is she looks incredibly white, she's often asked if she is from Russia, Ukraine, etc. As a brown man this was a higly desirable trait for me, she straight up knows I would have never dated her if she came close to my melanin levels. It was turning the tables. A brown 1st-worlder "conquering" a white 3rd-worlder. That's what's up.

I would be really interested in seeing a video on "Everybody wants to be a fascist" by Félix Guattari
I know I do.
Great videos! so informative and easy to understand! I am very grateful. Thank you!
Thank you for the throughout explanation.
Thank you so much for this video! It helps a lot for my sociological assignment!
Excellent ! I can see how her analysis can equally be applied to sexuality and queerness.

thank you for this!!
Great video! I'd love to hear your thoughts on another work by bell hooks, The Will to Change. It's a great analysis of feminism and masculinity imo.
Thank you so much for this! Really helped me 💕
I like the way you speak.
