All standing, no repeaters what a great workout to start the week. I love murder mysteries as well. I have just finished a series of books by Richard Osman which are part of a group called A Thursday Club Mystery. They are set in a retirement home (don't switch off). They are really well written and easy to read.
TY PJ ! Lovely workout , as this one is do- able as Cindy says above , for people like me who need a a couple of notches down from your regular WOs - that is why I LOVE your osteo program , it has the perfect intensity and the perfect moves - ❤❤
This was so much fun! Max 140 bpm. Great way to start the week! I’m really feeling it, no doubt about it!😊 Now, it’s time to invite the abs to the party with your 15-minute abs Tabata. You might like David Baldacci’s four-book series about anFBI agent, Attlee Pine, searching for her twin sister who was abducted as a child. Includes bad guys, shootings, and dead people. Also, Louise Penny’s series. For a mix of mystery, death, sarcasm and humor, try this series, to be read in order: (No dogs die!) The Andy Carpenter thriller series by David Rosenfelt The main character loves his golden retriever, named Tara, and he runs a dog rescue foundation called the Tara Foundation. Lots of dog involvement in every case. Not super dark, but bad things happen before Andy figures out whodoneit. (Have fun this week!) Thanks, PJ❤
The workout was just what I needed. Currently reading “Inside Deadly Scoop”…a sweet mystery about a young ice shop owner who discovers a man’s body near her shop and turns out the deceased has some not so great ties to her family. 😮
How did you know I was feeling like crap today? This workout was perfect- it got me moving without being too strenuous. I definitely feel better now than when I first laced up my runners ;) Thanks PJ! Oh, and I'm reading Running with the Demon by Terry Brooks right now. I like all sorts of different genres, from mystery to horror to fantasy to historical fiction- you name it, I'll read it ;)
Thanks PJ! I don’t read novel on murderer but I see them often as a psychologist working in prison! This workout, though on zone 2, do challenge my coordination

I loved Castle!! That's an oldie. Nathan Fallon is great, and both leads in 'Castle' are fabulous because they apparently hated each other in real life 😳. I don't think I could fake it like they do onscreen. He's terrific in the series "Rookie," too.
I love this Zone 2 cardio low impact workout. Good and fun. You made me laugh when you talked about the reading the thriller/suspense/drama/horror. I used to read a lot too but I haven’t since some years.🙈 I do like that genre too suspense/thriller/drama. I also like romance/drama Nicholas Sparks was my favorite author. (Not anymore though) I like to watch Netflix or other streaming channels. Shows like Criminal Minds (evolution) and I also like mystery and Scifi. Yeah I’m addicted to movies and shows.😂 Thank you PJ.👍💪❤️
I love these as yoga warm up workouts! Feel great and ready to stretch so thank you ❤ As for a book series: have you read DCI RYAN books by L.J. Ross? I really enjoy those for the shock and laughter.
I am finishing the “Armand Gamache” series by Louise Penny. There are 18-19 books. She’s from Quebec, so I figured you could be a new fan. She writes her characters SO well!
I’m a mystery/intrigue reader too! My favorite is Louise Penny, one of your kind-Canadian. I’m waiting for her newest which comes out today: The Gray Wolf. I’m currently reading one of Donna Leon’s. All of her are set in Venice, Italy with DCI Brunnetti. Btw, loved this workout!
Wasn't feeling the workout love today on a bit of downer today 😔 Anyway I got it done 👍 glad I got something done because something is better than nothing. Just to touch on what you were saying at the end ......I completely agree 💯 PJ I spent my whole adult life fighting the bulge and never getting to where I wanted to be . Once I started have children.....I soon realised I was never getting rid of what I call the pouch the lower belly fat ......I use to beat myself up so bad because I could feel the fat move as I moved it was disgusting. Anyway long story short no time for diets or anything else I'm now here to be able to keep moving and be stronger and prevent any pain by work the body to support itself ie ab training to support the back Thank you legend for all you do 🙏 Steph 🇮🇪
Fun workout to start my week! I'm not much of a reader... I'm currently about 3/4 of the way through Henry Winkler's book, that I started sometime over the summer I think 🤣
i just finished reading We Solve Murders. That is Richard Osman's newest book and it will be a series. If you like The Thursday Murder Club, you will like this. Also, great workout!
Yes, my sister told me about this series. I have the 1st book reserved at the library and it must be popular cause I've been waiting a few months for it. Haha! Can't wait to dig into a new series tho.
Peace Child is the book we're currently reading. American Assassin by Vince Flynn is the start of a series on my Audible Wishlist that came highly recommended by a friend.
LOVE murder/mystery books/tv. Louise Penny for Canadian read- especially if you have been to the stunningly beautiful Eastern Townships in Quebec. JDRobb- In Death series- darker than LP. Murdoch Mystery - murder, personal and with a dash of fun- especially when Detective Murdoch uses 1 of ‘his inventions’ to help close a case. Thanks PJ for a great, short workout. I did this after 1 of your 40 minute sessions. Now- maybe kayaking this afternoon- if it doesn’t pour. Not bad for someone mid 70’s- right? 🇨🇦🎒❤️🍷☕️
I always thought a great burger was had at an authentic pub? Anyway, thank you PJ, for a nice 'get the blood moving' cardio to get my day started!!!! Cheers
That was a great way to start my Monday morning! Not a big fan of murder mysteries. Just finished Someone Else's Shoes by JoJo Moyes. Also wrapped up the 5th season of Fargo. Great writing and excellent characters but Jon Hamm stood out as the biggest a-hole ever!!😲 Thanks, PJ!
Mysteries by Deborah Crombie, Elly Griffiths, Val McDermid, Ann Cleeves, PD James, Thomas Perry, William Kent Krueger, Jonathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman. I read a lot of mysteries! I couldn't find Michael Wood books at my library sadly.
Yes, I've read Elly Griffiths, Val McDermid, Ann Cleeves, PD James, Jonathan Kellerman, Faye Kellerman. I've made a note of the rest! Thank you!! I have also started binging DI Kelly Porter Series by Rachel Lynch.
Hey there fellow Stephen King fan! I am in the middle of his Bill Hodges/ Holley Gibney series with a book called called Finders Keepers. I also belong to a women-only book club where we read rock ‘n’ roll biographies and autobiographies. Then we get together, imbibe in the devil’s lettuce, and discuss. Too much fun!
I like murder mystery and legal dramas but I'm currently reading a chick lit book (I alternate). I'm currently binging season 3 of The Lincoln Lawyer. I think you would like this series, PJ.
Currently reading ‘Between Shades of Grey’. Not a romance. It’s a historical fiction set in WWII and what was happening to the Lithuanians and the Russians. Regarding favourite teams, I love that we except everyone in Canada. It’s sad to think that your religion, political views or sports team can affect your friendships.
TV murder? We've been watching older episodes of Grantchester, set in Cambridge where the gorgeous university architecture is a highlight. Hot young vicars, and a middle aged policeman (Robson Green -- hubba hubba) and some pretty good murdery content, and despite the period setting, social commentary we can all approve of.
I did this on Halloween after a day's work, before joining family to pass out candy to the ghoulies and ghosties. Of course, there's the US election looming next week and I'm stressed af about that (go, Kamala, or else we're all done for). I just began reading The Shortest Day: Murder at the Revels, by the late Massachusetts mystery writer Jane Langton.
Nice one. Thx PJ. Saving this one for travel too. Right now watching Brokenwood. - detective show takes place in New Zealand. Reading book called “Secret Poisoners”.
Great workout! I just re-watched Hereditary on Netflix. Given that it is nearing Hallowe’en , I have been watching the darkest of the dark! This is one disturbing movie, just as I like🫣.
Ohh.... you know I love disturbing. Thanks, Lynn, I'll check this show out. Of course, I'll have to wait until LH is not home because he can't handle disturbing. 😂
I love this Zone 2 cardio low impact workout. Good and fun. You made me laugh when you talked about the reading the thriller/suspense/drama/horror. Great workout for a Monday morning! Binge watching Castle. Combines detectives and a famous author. Fantastic show!
I loved Castle!! That's an oldie. Nathan Fallon is great, and both leads in 'Castle' are fabulous because they apparently hated each other in real life 😳. I don't think I could fake it like they do onscreen. He's terrific in the series "Rookie," too.
Just started reading The Housemaid trilogy, I’m loving it!
Oh very nice Jackie! 😊
