It so fitting that in a show where one of the main messages is that powers don't make you special, the one to save the day in the final episode is someone without powers.
Yes but. Unfortunately, the real world is not like this. Whoever has more power wins. Like America, which bullies the whole world and if someone tells them something. They destroy him with sanctions and crazy wars.
@@chocsman2938 He didn't win because of the powers tho, he used the powers so the powers of the others didn't matter so he could get into their hearts with words.
What i love about Reigen was that from season 1 to now he has always seen Mob not as just powerful but simply "A confused kid who needs some help" and when pushed come to shove no matter how much of a con man he is, he never conned his way out of being there for Mob.
@@oriandthesleepytime Yes, but that has no bearing on his status as a con man. He habitually gains people's trust and leads them to believe something that is untrue for personal gain. That is the definition of a con man. The fact that his clients end up getting what they need from him is not a factor. Whether someone is a con man depends on their methods, not their goals.
It could also be because normal people have a much easier time passing through psychic fields. Remember that Reigen managed to sneak past and damage the guy who could nullify every attack he detected.
Serizawa could be afraid because he was losing his power very quickly and afraid that himself and Reigen would be hurt and Reigen told Serizawa to stay put
I love how most of the fights in the series are like this. They aren't traditional beat-am-up fights, but bits like Teru vs Mob and Reigen vs Claw are still some of the greatest in the series. Their battles of characters, ideas, and growth. The same can be said of Reigen. He's not what one would consider a sensei, but he absolutely is: he's just not teaching fighting skills, but life skills.
Reigen has been wanting to tell him the truth all this time but he was afraid of Mob being disappointed in him so he held it in. The thing with Mob was that he could care less who his master is as long as he's a good person. Reigen getting everyone including Mob to accept him for who he is is as important as Shigeo accepting Mob becoming as one. This episode was about Reigen and Mob accepting who they are and it was done beautifully because both of them cried in the end.
@@NegativKreep Reigen told him the truth face to face, that's what makes it important to him. Hearing the truth from someone AND knowing that but not hearing anything are two completely different feelings.
When in the end Reigen says "I have no psychic powers, I never did" it hits even harder knowing that the strongest espers in the entire world tried to stop mob failing miserably, yet Reigen with only the sheer strength of his love for mob was able to reach him both metaphorically and physically. Reigen felt guilty the entire time because he thought that he was supposed to train Mob to be a good psychic, but in reality he taught him how to be a good person until the very end and succeeded. What is even more ironic is how much an anime about psychic powers ultimately returns to its mantra revealing that it was all along about normal human beings. This is going to go down as one of the most memorable moments in anime imo. The whole journey up to this point was such a rollercoaster of emotions and this scene really made things come full circle. I'm really going to miss this show!
I absolutely love how reigens just a normal guy in this scene, no ninja-like parkour, no psychic powers. Just a guy who wants to be there for someone who needs help. Just shows you don't need to be special to be a special person.
Yeah, he's so normal and weak, but at the same time has such a strong determination to risk everything to get through to Shigeo. He literally risks his life for the insane and practical impossible attempt to reach Shigeo. He's a normal guy running against a literal force of nature caused by the strongest esper in the world. And that esper doesn't even care to listen to him, but he still doesn't give up. He doesn't have anything to win as the con man as which he normally acts. This shows how genuine he is and that he actually cares. The only thing important to him is to be finally honest to Shigeo and show him his true self, so he can help Shigeo to accept all sides of his true self aswell.
This fits perfectly with the song since the song says explicitly "If everyone is not special, maybe you can be what you want to be", and that's exactly his message to Mob.
Best moment of the entire season. Man is literally running like his life depends on it, but it's for Mob, not himself. Never seen him get that serious in the entire anime. We never see his hair messed up, and we rarely even see him change out of his suit. It really shows how he's breaking free of his fake persona he's built up, even if it's just for a moment.
I remember watching this and getting so hyped when it started playing. Didn't think we would ever hear the OG intro ever again and they saved it for such an awesome moment
I'm not usually a very sentimental person but that ending actually had me crying. It was a weird mix between tears of joy and sadness its hard to explain.
It's called "bittersweet", and in my opinion is the most powerful emotion a story can evoke in its audience. Pure happiness is nice, but passes and tends to be forgotten. Pure sadness is met negatively in the mind, and most of the audience will put up emotional barriers to avoid the feeling becoming too powerful. But bittersweetness is remembered, breaking down those barriers that sadness creates, and seasoning the happiness with just enough pain to make it stay in the mind long after the story ends.
I wouldn't call it bittersweet the ending itself (last 3 minutes) was clearly happy. It was more like the culmination of how we got there other than that I think you are right.
Reigen’s fall and roll into the run, just as the drop hits “If everyone is not special..” was a thing of beauty on top of the many special moments in this ep.
This episode was the perfect conclusion to one of the most brilliant animes ever created. I was sad from the beginning knowing it was going to end but the episode still made me laugh and enjoy a bittersweet moment at the end.
This last one episode was a whole... I have no words to describe it. Everything you could possibly imagine. This series actually changed my life and i couldn't be more grateful to ONE for making it, seriously. I was 1 inch away from not breaking down in tears, and i guess some people weren't able to resist lol. I'm gonna remember Mob Psycho for a while until i move on. But i'll never forget the lessons it has taught me. Thank you, Mob.
It's just so weird to think that Mob Psycho 100 is actually over, like, actually ACTUALLY over. Thank you so much to One sensei and Studio Bones for making one of the best anime series to ever grace the world. I hope future generations of anime fans will love and appreciate this series just as much as we did.
Reigen's love for Mob is so wholesome, especially when considering how their relationship first started 😀😀, I loved the ending, I loved the growth of all relevant characters and this show would forever be on of my favorites, thanks for the great lessons and memories Mob.
Reigen had already solidified himself before as one of the greatest characters in anime history... and then just like that, running after Mob with no powers just determined to save the kid he cares about the most, Reigen became an absolute legend.
The determination of the Master to bring back his student all in this scene 🥲 That is love. Reigen's fear of losing Mob really got him sprinting for life for his friend. Hearing the first OP hit different here. The part where he broke down and cried telling the truth got to me. I liked that consistent message of personal struggle and how in your darkest moments, the people that care about you will never abandon you. Both of them were vulnerable in that moment and accepted who they really are this time. It has been a journey
I love how the final fight was Reigen against himself and the truth is that he did all that stuff to tell mob that he was a scammer. In my opinion, Regien is the best character because even though he knew he was only using a mob, he always protected him and tried to put the mob above his ambitions (with several mistakes but that only showed his humanity).
Reigen really put his feet in sports mode I’m really glad Reigen and Shigeo could be completely real with each other. This ending is literal perfection, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
God this scene is amazing. I love how of all the crazy action scenes we've seen in Mob Psycho, the one time they've used an OP theme is here; and unlike other animes that play the OP's to hype you up, this isn't for a fight. It's not a character breaking his limits to wallop the big baddie, or a team of friends working together to overcome an immense foe. It's just a man reaching out with everything he has to help a kid he cares for like family. The battles in Mob Psycho are just terrific, but it's never been the core of what the series is. It's always been about the characters and their relationships. About how much meeting good, sincere people can change and help you grow. So it's perfect that they saved their "hype anime OP moment" not for a big flashy battle, but for this. An emotional character moment. And damn, does it hit hard. I also like that the Season 1 theme is what they go with. After all, this scene isn't the culmination of Season 3; it's the culmination of the entire series. All the growth Mob and Reigen have experienced together during these crazy psychic adventures reaches it's zenith with this. This is the anthem that's playing for us while we witness what this entire beautiful anime has been about, embodied in one gorgeous sequence. I freaking love Mob Psycho 100.
Mob Psycho 100 really helped me grow as a person, I (and I'm sure most of Mob's fans too) was goin through this in middle school, unacceptance for myself, fear of not being special and being a nobody, a manipulative friendship, and much more, watching Mob grow through the series really made me happy, watching the end felt so special for me, it was like saying "hey, you will get through this, don't give up" and it is actually happening, I'm getting better, accepting myself more, and maturing emotionally, this show really was a 100%/10
You have no idea how hyped I got. It's insane how good Mob Psycho 100 is. Reigen is literally putting his life on the line to save his student and friend. And he eventually to through to him. Thank you ONE and Studio Bones for this masterpiece
1:16 that shot of mob looks so sinister. And btw I love reigen hes probably one of my favorite characters in anime just in general. Normal human who isn't totally useless like in 99.9 percent of every other anime.
An awesome masterpiece of Mob Psycho 100!!! Reigen really carried out the torch 🕯for this series! I’ll miss Mob, Reigen, Dimple, and it’s overall world!!
Thanks to ONE and all the people involved in this anime project that blessed us with respectively great writing and animation. This anime is special and we won't forget Mob will always be in our hearts ♥️
This is why Reigen is the most favourite character in Mob Psycho, this last episode I'm really satisfied, get rejected but still contacting with each other, as for Reigen he might think Mob gonna leave him. but everyone around him celebrate his Birthday is the best in this episode
For international audiences (because I didn't notice it the first time either). Reigen most likely throws away his shoes because he thought he wouldn't survive this chase. In Japan people who commit unaliving themselves take off their shoes. To me it symbolizes how far Reigen was willing to go for Mob ❤
You know it's Mob Psycho 100 when the HYPEST moment is an average man with tattered clothes and no shoes, *outrunning a tornado and falling buildings* to save his boy. And how did he do it? By being determined to help this child no matter what, and also secretly working out a lot. I could have watched an entire episode of this. If Reigen wasn't a legend before, this is definitely where he became one.
Thank you for all of the amazing memories, Mob Psycho 100. I loved how open this story was about accepting all parts of who you are, both the good and the bad. Mob came to accept that others care for him outside of his psychic powers, and he also came to accepts those powers. Reigen accepted that Mob will eventually move on from his part time job and told him the truth about who he really is, which was an amazing callback to his arc in season 2. Reigen accepted that, despite his lies, Mob truly considered him to be a master and good person, and that's what he needed to be for Mob in this final episode.
This episode by far is one of the best in the entire show and the best episode this season. Actually seeing Mob crying and laughing for the first time brought me to tears. Reigen running after mob with no powers made me appreciate his character even more also dimple coming through at the end was beautiful ♥️. I’m going to miss this series 🥺
We have to give the MVP to Reigen. Throughout the series he has constantly thrown himself into situations that can easily get him hurt or worse. Even though he doesn’t have any psychic powers, he get into those situations for Mob. We love and stand Reigen
Sparsely used, openings are an extremely effective tool to lend gravity to a few moments in a show, especially an early one that becomes the show's motif because of how phenomenal it is. Specific moments are reserved for the absolute hype that it can evoke. This was one of them. Reigen has always been a badass normal. I can't imagine how much pain he was in during this entire thing; being slammed against concrete hard enough to leave cracks in it is... well, I know it's anime physics - artistic license, but he's at least gotta have a few broken ribs. Yet, he gets up. He runs headlong into danger, knowing what happens could get him killed. We, the audience, know he's too important to die, but he doesn't know that. It's hard to find that kind of loyalty. Despite all his other antics, Reigen is a true friend and mentor to Mob. Misguided, maybe, but it shows how much he means to Reigen.
Mob is An amazing character all thinks to him so much Interesting things in the show has happened and that’s what I like to see mob is one of the best anime characters ever
Every child deserves a guardian like Reigen. If any of you who've watched this anime have kids, make sure you show up for them as hard as Reigen would. No matter how hard it is. No matter how much they shove you aside. No matter what they say to you. No matter how much it hurts.
The song is important because of the shows overall theme. Everyone is equal and the value in life is what you give to yourself through your actions and loved ones.

You know it’s the end when they do a throwback like this
This is going to go down as one of the most memorable moments in anime imo.
@@saskia4219 he seems just average in terms of strength so i wouldnt say hes weak
Can we appreciate how Reigen, with barely a trace of esper power, has never hesitated facing terrible odds when it really mattered.
This fits perfectly with the song since the song says explicitly "If everyone is not special, maybe you can be what you want to be", and that's exactly his message to Mob.
Reigen is so brave to even run at Shigeo, without any psychic powers to protect him. That's what makes him an incredible character.
0:15 IF EVERYONE IS NOT SPECIAL MAYBE YOU CAN BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE ‼️‼️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
MOB MOB WHAT YOU WANT
MOB MOB WHAT YOU WANT
MOB MOB DO YOU WANT
MOVE, MOVE JUST LIKE MOB!!!!
YOUR LIFE IS YOUR OWN OK EVERYONE WILL SURELY FIND THEIR OWN ANSWER
The Ultimate Defense:
3) Telekinetic Aura Shield
2) Psychic Barrier
1) Reigen's hands cupping the back of his head
Still cannot believe this is the last season… i want another one 😢
It’d be cool if they animated Reigen’s story
@@gel0079 i forgot he had his own story, damn…. That would absolutely, definitely be great!
@@gel0079 didn’t they already animate that?
Nope the reigen spin off is actually after this and about tome
@@sebastiansandoval4861 yo…. That is actually even more interesting
I was yelling "GO GET YOUR BOY REIGEN!!" when that man started running
Reigen is truly one of the best characters in all of anime, in my opinion.
After watching the final episode he became my favourite character in the series.
(btw goat tsuna pfp)
Yes, and Mob too!
@@stoyangenov6793 If you are feeling joy and pain, it is bittersweet. The pain may just be the show ending.
All this time, 99 was the song of a *GOOD GUY* risking his life to save his first friend.
This episode had me crying man. Im never going to forget this amazing series. Always will be number 1
Ah I see what you did there 😁
This finale was perfection.
Yessir
So wholesome
It still feels like something is missing but still great finale
Ambos son buenos amigos
seeing reign actually pick himself up and use his own power to do something for mob is easily one of if not the best moments in the series so far
The series is over
Don't tell him, it hurts
Mob knew, but the confession was what got to him
This hit different and I love it! Amazing finale to an amazing series!
1 last episode next week !
@@ShiedaTora no the last episode was today.
@@copper2747 oops ! My bad !
Reigen had already solidified himself before as one of the greatest characters in anime history... and then just like that, running after Mob with no powers just determined to save the kid he cares about the most, Reigen became an absolute legend.
Honestly, the main theme playing is one of my favourite tropes
I've already lost count on how many times I watched Mob Psycho 100. And I always feel amazed and cheer and cry.
One of the most hype moments of 2022! I was cheering & crying
I almost lost it when the s1 song came on. This was fantastic. So many emotions. Ninety-niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
Reigen really put his feet in sports mode
I’m really glad Reigen and Shigeo could be completely real with each other.
I freaking love Mob Psycho 100.
man this scene made reigen look absolutely insane the animators did my boy good
Mob Psycho 100 really helped me grow as a person, I (and I'm sure most of Mob's fans too) was goin through this in middle school, unacceptance for myself, fear of not being special and being a nobody, a manipulative friendship, and much more, watching Mob grow through the series really made me happy, watching the end felt so special for me, it was like saying "hey, you will get through this, don't give up" and it is actually happening, I'm getting better, accepting myself more, and maturing emotionally, this show really was a 100%/10
Its one of the few shows that can actually change a person for the better
A kid who suppressed his emotions, helped everyone express theirs. Amazing.
It's not a season finale without Reigen having a near-death experiance
You have no idea how hyped I got. It's insane how good Mob Psycho 100 is. Reigen is literally putting his life on the line to save his student and friend. And he eventually to through to him. Thank you ONE and Studio Bones for this masterpiece
I didnt fully realize that the song that was playing was from the first season, got me crying 😭💖💖💖 ILL MISS YOU MOB PSYCHO 100!!! forever in my heart
It was so nice to hear the first op !!
0:47 he was almost faster than the cameraman
Y'all don't know how bad i cried in the entire episode, i just can't believe that it's already ending, i love this show sm 😭😭😭

Reigen, the person that told Mob "Its okay to run away"
He himself, won't run away.
He run, but not away...
Thanks to ONE and all the people involved in this anime project that blessed us with respectively great writing and animation. This anime is special and we won't forget
Mob will always be in our hearts ♥️
This is why Reigen is the most favourite character in Mob Psycho, this last episode I'm really satisfied, get rejected but still contacting with each other, as for Reigen he might think Mob gonna leave him. but everyone around him celebrate his Birthday is the best in this episode
This is the greatest scene in all of anime you can't change my mind
For international audiences (because I didn't notice it the first time either). Reigen most likely throws away his shoes because he thought he wouldn't survive this chase. In Japan people who commit unaliving themselves take off their shoes. To me it symbolizes how far Reigen was willing to go for Mob ❤
Anything for Mob well 😭💔
Man, That 'Your life is your own okay?' Hits harder then it ever has here.
Mob Psycho III is hands down the best closure arc made in the history of anime. They closed every tie, this is what we needed.
Raigen got my most respect
Pretty sad that the series ended
Thank you for all of the amazing memories, Mob Psycho 100. I loved how open this story was about accepting all parts of who you are, both the good and the bad.
Mob came to accept that others care for him outside of his psychic powers, and he also came to accepts those powers. Reigen accepted that Mob will eventually move on from his part time job and told him the truth about who he really is, which was an amazing callback to his arc in season 2. Reigen accepted that, despite his lies, Mob truly considered him to be a master and good person, and that's what he needed to be for Mob in this final episode.
That scene was beautiful! Mob Psycho 100 is one of my favorite animes. I will always remember him.✨❤️
This had me cheering "GO! REIGEN! GO!" with tears in my eyes
That kid of speed and agility doesn't come from working out just a little. Dude went all out.
My favorite anime scene of all time, Mob Psycho 100 is a real masterpiece. The most beautiful story i've ever seen.
Bro Reigen had his limited plot armor and it was a fire scene ngl 🔥🔥
I was screaming "GO PLOT ARMOR GOOOOOO"

This episode by far is one of the best in the entire show and the best episode this season. Actually seeing Mob crying and laughing for the first time brought me to tears. Reigen running after mob with no powers made me appreciate his character even more also dimple coming through at the end was beautiful ♥️. I’m going to miss this series 🥺
We have to give the MVP to Reigen. Throughout the series he has constantly thrown himself into situations that can easily get him hurt or worse. Even though he doesn’t have any psychic powers, he get into those situations for Mob. We love and stand Reigen
the detail in this anime is crazy , I love how Reigen blocks his head every time he's about to hit something hard ..such a good detail
"IF EVERYONE IS NOT SPECIAL MAYBE YOU CAN BE WHO YOU WANT TO BEEEE" 🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥‼⁉
I think it’s funny, when Reigen straightens up when he’s running it’s a sprinters form. Or at least close to it.
Every child deserves a guardian like Reigen.
If any of you who've watched this anime have kids, make sure you show up for them as hard as Reigen would.
No matter how hard it is.
No matter how much they shove you aside.
No matter what they say to you.
No matter how much it hurts.
Reigen truly loves mob ngl. Absolutely amazing moment
The song is important because of the shows overall theme. Everyone is equal and the value in life is what you give to yourself through your actions and loved ones.
