One thing's consistent about Maxwell's videos is the Uniqueness, Authenticity and Sheer Joy. There's a lot of other Gunpla contents out there but his is just a breath of fresh air. You want a Gunpla content? Yo've come to the right channel. Build? He builds. Review? You get the most honest review you wanna hear. Sure there are other contents to watch when we wanna know about the whole breakdown review of a kit before buying it but just hearing someone just review upon building a kit without any smear of hatred or overcontemplation about the kit is something authentic that I just wanna see and hear sometimes. For me, there's channels that I watch reviewing a kit to help me with my decision to buy or not, and my face watching those is just serious contemplation. Sure I've built these kits Max is building already but I watch these videos because they are entertaining and fun and my face watching them is just a wide smile from ear to ear. It's like listening and anticipating a friend's reaction after you recommend them a kit, or the've build a kit they told you they're excited about, or if you give them a kit and waiting for their excited review, which I do with my friends and it makes me happy to just hear excitement and joy. Those 2 are emotions I don't really see a lot these days in this hobby as people are just very critical about kits and forget the fact that we build to enjoy and have fun! Keep it up Max! Surely seeing Nu without his V-Fin was weird but that was silly and fun to watch! Kinda like a punchline at the end of the video hahaha! Also thank you for including my encouragement comment from your last video! I'm so happy! Haha! (I wanna send an email for an inquiry but found none on the profile ✌)
Woah dude, you’ve said what I truly wanted to say but couldn’t find the words for. You probably have invested a lot into this wholeheartedly comment. As a fan and enjoyer of his videos,I’m happy too
@@MaxBuilds007this is so kind of you! Of course as long as you keep being you man! Not just me but other who'll stumble upon your video will like, subscribe and ring that bell and your channel will get through more hobbyist! The email is very much appreciated!
This video really does convey that joy you get with a finished build despite it all. Awesome videos recently man, looking forward to seeing more from you .
Wow...I was subscriber 1,000...I'm in shock that there's ONLY 1,000 subs. These videos are so wonderful to watch...as someone who is also new to a Gunpla journey, it rules to see.
CONGRATS ON BEING 1000!! That’s unreal that I’ve managed to get 1000 of you homies to join me on this journey. Thanks so much for the kind words and let’s keep it going!!!
GodHand nippers cut like butter, but are a bit fragile since the blade is so thin. The best way to use them, is to cut the parts off the runner with a different nipper (like the one you already own) and then go back and trim the nub using the GodHand. If you're someone who paints your kits, having a perfect clean cut doesn't matter much, but for a straight out of the box build, they're amazing.
I'm really glad our support keeps you going! Your videos are an amazing outlet for seasoned builders to get a chance to be a beginner again. A breath of fresh air to the gunpla community! Already one of my favorite creators out here. Keep it up homie 👊
@@MaxBuilds007 as long as you don't find yourself caving to the temptation to buy more kits than you need/before you've finished your current one, you'll be alright 👌 it's all to easy to build a backlog these days
God hands are 100% worth the price. Got mine a few months ago and the cut like butter! I also recommend a gun primer glass file shreds nub marks and keeps the plastic shiny! Keep up the quality content man!
Max, like you I recently dove headfirst into this hobby. I can't stop buying them haha. Gunpla has been such a getaway for me and I'm glad you are loving it too. I don't know if it has been recommended, but I recently bought a gunprimer raser to sand down my nubs and it was a game changer for me. So easy to use and works so well. Look into it! Keep up the awesome videos friend!
How's it going bro! I just invested in some dspiae glass filers which got great reviews so hopefully that upgrades my gear game. Thanks for the support homie!
Great video, I just finished my first gundam build a couple days ago and posted it here on youtube. Your channel is one of the reasons I got into this hobby!!
It's not just the quality of the videos that are good, it's also the way you tell a story and share your journey while building gunpla's that i find very entertaining... Keep up the amazing work my dude
I got sucked into this hobby in 2018 and my collection has grown exponentially! Your videos are such a joy to watch and I wish you luck on future builds! 👏😎
Brilliant videos, as someone who's just bought their first kit to build (Aerial) and some tools, and an amazon basket full of models for down the line, these are really inspiring. Appreciate the editing and filming techniques too. The ignoring of the fallen AirPod - was slick.
Had to let the show go on despite the fallen AirPod hahahaha. I really appreciate the kind words and best of luck with your aerial! It’s an amazing kit!
Good job man! That's the thing about gunpla. If you don't find a process/step enjoyable or fun... DON'T DO IT. It's a personal experience and you can do whatever you want! My recommendation for the decals(since it looks like you found them frustrating) is to get waterslide decals for the associated kit. It may be a bit more tedious to cut out each individual decal, but you get the freedom to move it around on the part until it is exactly how you want it. Of course you would NEED to topcoat it anyway, but since you're doing it anyway, it wouldn't hurt (plus they look better). And just like you did, you can only put on only as many as you want. Whether it be a select few, or every single one from the instructions. It's all up to you!
Hahahahha the decals were driving me insane! I’ve read great things about the waterslide decals so I’m excited to try them out at some point! Thanks for the support on the video and the great advice!
New build hype! Keep it up brother. Really love how you show the journey of you building the kit and sharing your thoughts about it on the fly. It's refreshing watching you build and enjoy every moment of it. I would like to suggest a unique gundam for you to build. Either go RG or MG. The Tallgeese 1, Tallgeese 2, or Tallgeese 3. The 3 of them look so unique compared to other Gunpla. I hope you give them a shot and see what you do with them and how you tackle the build. Lots of love homie!
Just looked those gundam up and you're right, they are definitely unique! Maybe in the future I'll get to them. Appreciate you homie and hope you're doing well!
Just wanted to say the decal part is where you can choose what you wanna put and where. You don’t have to go by the manual and also using all decals can kinda make the model look busy and take away from your panel lining and etc! Great Job My Guy!
I used to feel rushed doing the decals and finish asap, but now I find the decals to be a very relaxing and precise part of the build. I love RGs. I also highly recommend the God Hand, they can be a little delicate, so handle with care. Cheers.
What an amazing video!! You inspired me to get into my backlog and i just finished the HG GM Intercept Custom. I have the RG Nu Gundam in my backlog and i might tackle it next! Can't wait for your next video!
You can be proud of yourself! This one is a masterpiece kit, and kind of complicated, all the detail of master grade in the small scale of high grade! And this one is full of articulation, you can give him any pose! I love your videos, so full of enthusiasm, energy! It so great to see the point of view from a beginner! And go easy on yourself, you don't have to put every decals on it, just the one you think look cool! And for the V fin (the yellow antenna) those thing can break easily! Just a little glue (or better some tamiya cement) and it will be perfect! Concerning the nipper, the famous God Hand can be expensive, it is the best one on the market but some are cheaper and as good such as the DSPIAE one. They are perfect for the last snip to reduce stress marks. Can't wait to see your future videos!
Took your advice bro and just got some tamiya cement, so hopefully I can get the fin back on when it arrives! Appreciate the kind words and I hope you continue to enjoy the future vids!
I just recently gave gunpla a try and I was immediately hooked. My first kit was RG Char's Z'Gok. This RG Nu Gundam was my most recent kit and it blew me away. I love the older RGs that I've built, but the Nu is so much better in so many areas. My favorite kit for sure. (Z'Gok is still the best mobile suit though)
Amazing! Unfortunate about the v breaking, but everyone runs to that at some point in the journey. It’s sort of a passage to the hobby hahha. Consider building the MG Freedom 2.0 it’s a blast aswell
LETS GO TH-cam FOR ACTUALLY GIVING ME THE NOTIFICATION THIS TIME! And this is a gundam I’ve been thinking of building for awhile now. But I’m really holding out for the RG Hi-Nu Gundam. Also a suggestion, I got the RUITOOL, a cheaper Godhand alternative. $16 on Amazon and even though it’s not as fluid as the God Hand, it does make cutting nubs off a lot smoother, less stress marks and you’ll definitely spend less time filing. They also have an updated version the 3.0 for $32, haven’t tried it yet but I probably will soon. Keep it up, you’re doing great! Love to keep coming back here 😁 praying for your continued success
I’ll second the Ruitool! It’s a really affordable finishing nipper that has saved me so much time. I always over did it with my exacto knife, but the Ruitool makes it so much easier!
Oh nice ! Now since you built the nu gundam, I would recommend its nemesis the sazabi or its counterpart the hi-nu gundam both RGs are marvel of model kits engineering. Keep the videos coming homie !
I just came across your channel earlier today, and I'm having a blast watching while finishing up a kit. Keep up the great work!! There's a handful of different kinds of GodHand nippers, mostly starting at ~$15
Absolutely phenomenal video! I love the editing style and mood of the video. I love how unique you are and how passionate you are about Gunpla and TH-cam! So glad I found your glorious TH-cam channel. Your enthusiastic attitude gives me the motivation to put even more work into my own kits! (I'm just going to be throwing points out now) The intro was beautiful I loved it. Don't worry about breaking the V fin it happens to the best of us, definitely post a picture of the Nu Gundam once you fix it! I would love to see that. I highly recommend building the rival of the Nu Gundam the RG Sazabi. Don't forget about the Mono-Eyed bois. And lastly, since you didn't like stickers you should try water slides! In my opinion they're much easier and nicer looking. Can't wait for your next upload!
AYYYY thanks so much homie! Always love to see your kind comments and support for the channel. Glad I could give you some motivation for your kits and I agree with all your points. I got some cement to fix the v-find and I'll be looking into where I can get waterslide decals. Hopefully the sazabi in the future! Have to pair the Nu with their rival hahahah
Another wholesome video and a great kit! Shame that Nu's V-fin broke, but it is totally fixable! Would recommend picking up a plastic cement, it would bond the broken plastic parts by melting the surface. Keep on rocking Max!
I stumbled upon your channel probably because of building gunpla myself for half a year now and it's so much fun. Really seems like 'you' and the quality of your videos are really good. Like others have said, a breath of fresh air in the gunpla youtube community. Have you watched any of the shows? I recommend Iron blooded orphans and the witch from mercury
Thanks so much bro! Really appreciate the kind words about my videos, means a lot. And I’ve seen witch of mercury and the beginning of iron blood orphans. I’ve seen an insane amount of anime so I’m hoping to get around to more gundam shows eventually!
I think the one thing that keeps me on watching max's vids is the vibe and hw it is alrd having some humour for a new channel. keep up the work. plus the godhand is the standard quality for gundam building but if ur on a budget then normal ones are ok
I am currently water decaling this kit I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend getting some tamiya plastic cement extra thin it's basically like a plastic welder I use it for whenever I make mistakes and break a part to put it back together! Keep up the great work man.
Sad i didn't make it into a video, hehe :'c Great vid! Didn't think you get to real grade so fast. He's awesome, i put him in my wishlist too, after I finish my MGSD Barbatos + RG Zaku II. Stock decals as stickers are bad, buy yourself a waterslide ones next time! Or even fluorescent - they would look sick! You'll thank me later! About God Hands - they are ELITE. I bought myself a pair a couple of days before. They are perfect. Perfect cut. Satisfying and pleasent instrument. It's like a high quality knife for a chef, but it's a freaking handmade nippers for us, gunpla lovers. Get it, your life wouldn't be the same! :D Keep up the good work matey - simplycity and real emotions in the video are the thing that make them unique! Building in flow state is the best feeleing. My Barbatos is halfway there, im taking my time with it while waiting for Tamia Panel Liner. It's such fun kit. Huge recomendation (again!). P.S. If you ever decide to play Fortnite zero build to relax - invite you to play with my squad or in duos, I would love to talk about this plastic journey while playing the BEST online game (IMO xD)!
Apologies for not getting you in the vi bro! I edited all the comments ahead of time, hopefully in the future, I can do some more shoutouts. Will look into some water decals and I completely agree, building in a flow state is so fun. Also, I don't game too much but maybe one day when I get back into it, I could play along and possibly make a few videos doing so. Wish you the best!
@Maxley007 Haha, all good, just joking around, don't worry - impossible to keep up on all the comments! Gaming is fun from time to time - so that would be nice. Fortnite have an awesome Greek Mythology season theme now, so much fun. Would be awesome - and your idea is top notch: you can assemble a squad after squad with your growing community and capture it.
Ayyyeee I’m glad you like it, just as a side note with the panel liner you’re using, it’s better to go in this order, stickers/decals, top coat, then panel line. The reason for this is because it’s an enamel type panel liner, and can make certain plastics kinda brittle and weak. If you’re looking for a good tool to save you time, try using a gunprimer glass file, it’s amazing and helps save a lot of time
Careful with Tamiya liner! Make sure it has a gloss coat or line the pieces individually on the runner (what I do). It eats plastic if you let it pool or get into little crevices where it can’t evaporate quickly
@@MaxBuilds007One good way to help mitigate that potential issue is to panel line the parts while they're still on the runner / unassembled, it should give adequate time for the liner to dry on the parts. Tamiya Panel Liner eats through ABS plastic (which is usually used on the inner frame) and what happens when you panel line an assembled kit is the panel line can leak through the armor down into the inner frame where it can't evaporate, this causes the plastic to crack. Others suggest using a gloss top coat to protect the pieces before panel lining which also another great suggestion. I think this is a safer method. Panel lining the parts on the runner, letting the parts dry out before assembly lets me get away without needing that gloss top coat layer. But I'd say using a gloss topcoat for a protective layer is a safer option
Love it! Please consider getting a RG Hi-Nu Gundam. The king of RG as they say. also, if you wanna be on the next level of decals, try using waterslide decals instead of the stickers provided. Keep it up, bro!
Great job on the video brother! The biggest thing I’ve learned about the grades is that real grades are master grades but shrunk down. They are just as complicated as MG. I have a pair of godhands and they are awesome. Super sharp, super clean cuts
These videos are amazing. It's some of my favorite gunpla content right now because your style of video is so new and enjoyable. GodHands are great nippers. It's best to use them with more standard nippers by cutting the sprue with the normal ones first then the god hands to cut the nub off. I think you may be spraying your top coat too heavily. Try bringing the can back a few inches and spraying from there and in a kind of brush stroke movement.
Happy you're enjoying the videos so far! Glad I could make some fresh content for you and I appreciate the advice. Will remember to bring the can back a little bit when coating.
Im always smiling when you say you hate sticker decals. Cant wait till you try Water Slide Decals. Much better with sticker but...... LOL. Let's see when you try it ahahaha. Good Job!
Max- I must tell you; acquiring a pair of God hand nippers SPN-120 nippers is a complete game changer, alone with the DSPIAE NSF-13 SIREN FILE, those two tools will change and rock your world. i hope you check them out. Thanks again, keep up the build vids , never stop building. PS get4 4Airbrush Iwata if you afford it, if not pick up an amazon special and some G-gundam paint kit. totally worth it.
Got the file thanks to your recommendation and then I got a cheaper pair of better nippers, forgot the name but I’ll be debuting all the new gear in the next video!!!
Great job! RG Nu is one of the best looking gunpla ever. It wasn't super clear based on what you were saying, but did you glosscoat before panel lining this time? Not matte, but gloss. I just foresee a situation where the panel liner eats the plastic and cracks a part which is a good way to ruin your day, so if you didn't I recommend doing that on your next build. If you don't want to do that, I'd actually recommend panel lining everything and cleaning with thinner while it's on the runner. Cracking happens most often when the panel liner gets into a space where it can't dry properly, so doing it before assembly is the safest bet if you're not planning on painting or glosscoating. Also never use it on ABS plastic, only polystyrene. These plastic types are usually indicated on the runner and in the manual.
Great work! I kind of like the bald look! If you watch and enjoy anime, you should definitely check out the gundam shows sometime (if you haven’t already)! There’s a ton so it can be a bit of a time commitment, but they can be a lot of fun.
Absolute love anime! That's what led me into watching witch of mercury as my first gundam show. Currently making my way through Iron blood orphans, but hopefully I'll get around to a few more!
@@MaxBuilds007 I loved Iron Blooded Orphans! If you need a more lighthearted/fun show to follow that one up I’d check out Mobile Fighter G Gundam next. I’m watching it now and it’s incredibly camp. I’ve heard the RG God Gundam kit from it is an amazing build that could be a good one for the channel!
Loving the videos so far, if you plan on getting any more real grades just keep in mind that the early ones are pretty flimsy. As a general rule, the RG Unicorn and all others released after it are all very good. There are some exceptions to this rule though, so if you are unsure, a little bit of research never hurts.
Thanks for the heads up homie! I definitely like to spend a little bit researching each kit but for the most part I like to just pull the trigger if it looks cool!
Haven't even finished building my first Gunpla yet and I must say, panel lining sucks you right in and really makes the parts pop. A good mindset I'm having with this is Bob Ross's "mistakes are just happy accidents". Literally the box art depicts the mobile suits all gritty, battle damaged and dirty - just adds to it 😅
Too lazy to see if anyone else has answered but in regards to topcoating a fully assembled build, it’s not technically a bad idea, however a couple potential problems would be: 1, the topcoat not being able to cover the important areas as well as potentially not having an even coat on the full figure And 2, some joints possibly becoming a bit too stiff and/or inconsistent in tolerance While 2 is more of an inevitable fact, it’s at least more manageable when you do one part of the build at a time rather than all at once
Appreciate this advice homie! I've heard similar comments about topcoating. Had a recent build which I didn't topcoat and I actually quite like the look of it
Godhands are definitely worth it, but you can also find other single-blade nippers that will do about as well for a lower price. The important part about them or any other single-bladed nipper is learning to place the dull arm up to the part and then cutting it using the bladed arm. Also they are by necessity kinda brittle so don't drop them.
Another great video! You're definitely getting the hang of things. But I will say, if you're open to it (cause I know you kind of dread the whole decal situation from earlier videos), you should get waterslides for your kits moving forward, especially the RGs / MGs. They will look so much better than the sticker decals that come with the kit and are super easy to apply. Delpi and G Rework are the brand of waterslides I'd recommend the most.
you werent kidding when you said this was an elite gundam this time around, been wanting this one for some time. If I may give a recommendation id really suggest the mg freedom gundam 2.0, been building this one for a day now as my first mg and its been a hell of a lot of fun. keep up the good work homie.
Like your vid man. Just a few tips. Be careful with the panel liner. If it gets into crevices it can crack the plastic if there’s no top coat. Also god hands are good for the 2nd cut. Do the first cut off the runner with the cheaper nippers and do the second cut with the god hands. This method helps with not getting any stress marks where you snip. (White part on plastic)
Yeah I need to be a little more careful with how I apply the panel liner. Making mistakes so I learn along the way. Appreciate the advice and thanks for the info about the god nippers! Maybe I’ll get a pair once I improve
Good work as usual, but you should mask tapes the joints first before spraying any top coat because it will affect the joints' articulations. And since you already built HG, RG, and MG, i think you are ready to build the most difficult and time consuming grade: Perfect Grade/PG. And Here are some of the most popular line of PG: Exia, the 3 Unicorn Gundams, Astray red frame, Strike. Edit: you should put the V vin (V-shaped horn) to the Nu gundam you built (even if it is snapped) because that is what differenciate between a Gundam and a normal mobile suit.
Yeah I just ordered some cement stuff to get the vfin back on the head and thanks for the advice about the masking tape. Hopefully a perfect grade in the near future!! Need to get some more money in the bank account hahahaha
If you thought the Nu Gundam was epic as an RG, wait till you see its alternate look, the RG Hi-Nu Gundam. Just make sure to get an action stand because you're gonna need it for the bulky boy.
Nicely done buddy! Keep up with the good work, soon enough I will recommend you to get the airbursh and starting airbrushing all your Gundam, you will be amazed with the outcome for sure. I personally much preferred airbrushing my Gundam, but when I feel like the colour separation is good enough, then I would keep yhe original molded colour from the runners and just polish every single parts on the Gundam to give that polished look, it is also a good way to make your Gundam looks better if you dont have an airbrush. You next kit to recommend you building is the MG Freedom Gundam 2.0, I recently built one and I have to say it is one of the best looking Gundams in my collections, next i am going to work on my MGEX Strike Freedom, which will probably takes me a few months to complete as I want to do it slowly to make it looks amazing. 😊👍🏼
I've gotten alot of recs for the Freedom 2.0 so hopefully I can get to it in the near future!. Airbrushing absolutely baffles me and I've never been much of a painter or artist but maybe in the future! That would look sick
@Maxley007 definitely worth trying airbrushing, you would love it, it also helps to cover some minor scratches or polish marks. If you do a strict build of the MG Freedom 2.0, you will love it too, when the wings opened it just looks amazing. Take a look at my channel on the photo posts and you will see what I mean, even though I took the photo in black and white. Once you have experienced a few Master Grade kits, you will be ready to build the MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam, you are definitely going to fall in love with it, but take my advice to build the MG Freedom 2.0 first. Let me know if you need any advice or recommendation, I'm not the expert but I have gained some experience over the past years. Keep up with the good work mate, best wishes from London UK. 😊👍🏼
First up, as always, it's great to see the excitement and enjoyment you're finding in this hobby. Secondly, I feel your pain on the broken v-fin. I haven't had any parts completely break, yet, but I did accidentally cut into a part once. Scared the bejeezus out of me. Got lucky that it was a part that's kind of tucked away, so that worked out kind of the same way the Nu just looking sick worked out for you. Lastly, you've done one of nearly every major grade of kit except Entry Grade and Perfect Grade. Any thoughts on what you might do next? Edit: Actually, I almost forgot to mention that it was great to see Gundy getting his stretches in. Can't have those joints getting too tight.
hahahahahha, Gundy had to get some stretches in to get the joints moving! I bought some cement stuff in case I ever want to attach the V-fin in the future. I have a master grade lined up next, won't say anything more though, want to keep it a surprise!
Hey man. Really nice video very relaxed build session. In regards with the matt coating before panel lining, I'm not so sure but I think gloss coating is better for panel lining compare to matt coating. I think gloss coat helps with the spread of the lining and provides protection to to raw material of the parts. If anyone knows better please correct me. But I myself doesn't coat the parts before panel lining haha.
Honestly in this build the panel liner worked great without a pre coat so I may just keep doing that. Just need to be careful about overdoing it since I’ve heard it can damage the plastic. Just got some gundam markers just in case!
@@MaxBuilds007 If I'm not mistaken those worries of parts cracking due to panel line was for old kits where the materials they used were quite brittle and easily effected by chemicals. But most modern kits like the one you've build I think will not have those issues anymore. I build all my kits without coating before panel lining and none gets damaged, but I only build modern kits above year 2000 I think. A tip I got from a builder friend is to use Mr Hobby Weathering Color as it's not as aggresive as the tamiya panel line. No matter what, keep building man and have fun with it!
Not bad choice, RG NU is worth of yoyr money coz of what kind of articulation and design it has for 1/144 kit I'd reccomend also trying his other version, RG 36 HI-NU Gundam, this one is just a kit that you can't just pass it by, and try also MG Zeta Gundam ver.ka if you want a transformable kit
I built the Nu gundam myself, every minute of this video reminds me of my joy as I put it together. I can't wait to see what else you create. Each build, it pushing you forward in the hobby .And just such a question, because I see the Lego Porsche, can we expect some lego video too ? 🤔❤
Thanks so much! Glad I could remind you of that feeling. I haven't built any lego in forever, the porsche was for christmas two years ago, but that wouldn't be a bad idea to mix it up! Thanks for the idea!
I was given a pair of God hand nippers by someone that leaving at the hobby, and they're amazing! But I have also heard really good things about the far more affordable display 3.0 nippers, it's a newer product, and what I was originally planning on getting before I was given the God hand. I haven't had a chance to test the 3.0, but the reviews online make them look really good.
Get yourself some godhand SPN-120 nippers or some other very sharp single blade nippers. The single blade part is important. I have godhands and a pair of Stedi MS-106 which feels just about as sharp as the godhand. Just be very careful with them, read and understand the instructions as they're brittle. You don't want them snapping together like with a cheap pair. What they give is a much cleaner cut so you can spend less time sanding or using your hobby knife on the nub. Also I can't wait until you do a perfect grade. The biggest kit I've done had 82 runners, it was one of my favorite builds. PG Unicorn Perfectibility. Also also, the fun thing about gundams is, yes the RG and HG are both 1/144 scale, but that doesn't mean Nu is the same height as RX78. Nu is a tall boy. You can look up their actual heights online, but they can vary from like 16 meters to over 20 meters tall.
Hopefully looking to get a perfect grade in the future once I save up some money! Also going to look into those nippers you mentioned. Definitely want to up my gear game! Thank you bro!
Not all gundams are the same size as you've probably seen in gundam animes so thus they have different heights when they are transferred to 1/144 scale or 1/100 scale and so forth that's is why the nu is bigger than the rx782 even though they are both 1/144 scale yeah love your content and can't wait to see more of your very very enjoyable content!
Another banger!!!! Which gundam shows have you seen? I've seen 0079, Zeta, ZZ, CCA, IBO, WFM, 0080, 0083, 8th MS team, Unicorn, on my way to turn A, all of these are bangers but I think 0083 is my favourite
Yooo, it’s the first time I’ve had a shoutout in YT! Thanks so much, man. Congrats on this *elite* build, the result was awesome. Just like I said with Barbatos, I didn’t think we’d have the big guns this early. I hope to build my first RG soon as well. Sick video as always! (Btw, it sounded sketchy when you said it wouldn’t have the v-fin, but it actually does look cool. I’m digging the RX-93 Nu Gundam Maxley's Custom)
OF COURSE HOMIE! I had no early these are the big guns hahahah, I just look at the comments and whichever gundam looks cool I pull the trigger on. Glad I picked out such a cool gundam for this video! hahahaha the custom kit with a broken v fin
Hey man, I've been loving your videos since i stumbled on it on the rx 78 video. Since you built the Nu gundam, you might as well build its rival right, haha! Would recommend the rg sazabi next!
@@MaxBuilds007 please please please be careful of the bicep twist. Broke my unicorn that way (thankfully I was able to get it fixed) So my advice is to use some sort of lubricant for that part.
If you don’t like the decals the kit comes with, then you can use waterslide decals. I just recently put waterslide on one of mine and it looks amazing. Really adds another level compared to the decals they come with. Now I wouldn’t get the Bandai ones but there’s a couple company’s that make good ones
LETS GO🔥🔥 been waiting for this new build and also i suggest use file holder the L shape one for runner organization its cheaper and work very well to. i also use the same thing.
Im waiting for this August's RG rx 78 2 release and oh boy you should make another RX 78 2 when it gets out. I was typing too fast on my previous comment that i missed several words in it. Lets Go! Also those godhand nippers sure cut like hot knife on butter. My friend got one and he let me try it one time however I cant afford it (Got bills to pay). I only use a rather cheaper nipper I dont know tha brand but its yellow and orange in color.
Maybe that's the dspiae brand everyone has been talking about! Definitely going to invest in some new cutters for the next build hopefully. Hope you're doing well bro!
Absolutely love this comment! Thanks so much for the continued support and can’t wait for you to watch future videos :) a true homie
Woah dude, you’ve said what I truly wanted to say but couldn’t find the words for. You probably have invested a lot into this wholeheartedly comment. As a fan and enjoyer of his videos,I’m happy too
I created an email. Maxley007@outlook.com Look forward to any kind messages for those who want to email me!
@@MaxBuilds007this is so kind of you! Of course as long as you keep being you man! Not just me but other who'll stumble upon your video will like, subscribe and ring that bell and your channel will get through more hobbyist! The email is very much appreciated!
yeah its like vlog and build at the same time and the way he interacts with watchers
18:37 Thank you for instilling the image of bald Nu Gundam in my head. I can’t unsee it anymore.
Bald nu gundam is the new wave hahahahha
Kinda looks like the ez8 lol
The bald nu Gundam head reminds me of the sinanju-stein head lol
This video really does convey that joy you get with a finished build despite it all. Awesome videos recently man, looking forward to seeing more from you .
Thanks so much bro! Glad you enjoyed and future videos coming soon!
I've been started the gunpla back in the freshman year and bang! It's my last year in college and just realized I've built 30 kits already.
That’s awesome bro! I’m slowly making my way up the ranks
Seeing you get into gundam/gunpla has made me pick up this hobby again, thankyou!
Love to hear that! Get building soldier 🫡
Sick! Always awesome seeing someone new to the hobby!
Welcome aboard homie!
Yeah I heard they can be fragile. Will hold off for now but maybe in the future I’ll get a pair!
@@MaxBuilds007I suggest Dspaie nippers! They’re more robust and feel just the same as godhand 120 (at least to me) plus they’re cheaper
I second the dspiae suggestion. Excellent nippers for half the godhand price @Archdjinn
I'm really glad our support keeps you going! Your videos are an amazing outlet for seasoned builders to get a chance to be a beginner again. A breath of fresh air to the gunpla community! Already one of my favorite creators out here. Keep it up homie 👊
Just happy that all you guys enjoy the videos! Appreciate the kind words bro 👊🏽
I'm enjoying watching this man slowly gain an incurable addiction
Will I ever recover?
@@MaxBuilds007 Speaking by experience, nope lol. I'm a year and a half in, 100+ kits, 3 pg's, about half are mastergrades :D
@@l3xther3x86 what have I gotten myself into
@@MaxBuilds007 as long as you don't find yourself caving to the temptation to buy more kits than you need/before you've finished your current one, you'll be alright 👌 it's all to easy to build a backlog these days
God hands are 100% worth the price. Got mine a few months ago and the cut like butter! I also recommend a gun primer glass file shreds nub marks and keeps the plastic shiny! Keep up the quality content man!
Will check out both those products! Thanks for the recommendations homie
Stoked to hear that! Glad I could inspire you to get into the craft. Fantastic community and I wish you the best with your builds!
It's not just the quality of the videos that are good, it's also the way you tell a story and share your journey while building gunpla's that i find very entertaining... Keep up the amazing work my dude
Thanks so much homie! Appreciate the support for the videos. Wishing you the best
I got sucked into this hobby in 2018 and my collection has grown exponentially! Your videos are such a joy to watch and I wish you luck on future builds! 👏😎
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video and hopefully another build vid coming soon!
As someone who just got invested into gunpla building. It feels nice to have you together on this journey. TOWARDS THE SKY MY FELLOW BUILDER
Together we build!
Cheers.
Thank you homie! Decals can be calming until it takes me 10 minutes to get one in the right place
@@MaxBuilds007 I got water slide decals for an MGEX Strike Freedom Gundam. It took 7 hours to apply them all. 🤣🤣🤣😅
What an amazing video!! You inspired me to get into my backlog and i just finished the HG GM Intercept Custom. I have the RG Nu Gundam in my backlog and i might tackle it next! Can't wait for your next video!
Thanks so much dude, can't wait to get to the next video! Extremely happy I could inspire you to get back to building. Best of luck!

good to see you're enjoying this newfound hobby, oh I can't wait to see your collections displayed in the background😃 ROAD TO 1K SUBS!!!
Just rearranged the gundam on the shelf now! Appreciate you dude and 1000 here we come!
Glad to see you making a comeback after your last build
Also, try RG Sazabi so you can give your Nu some company?
A comeback for the ages!
Will check it out! Already have a build lined up so hopefully I’ll get to that one in the future!
Such a cool video. I love the RG Nu Gundam so much, i have 4 of the RG kits 😅. I cannot wait to see what other kits you get in the future!
Can't wait to keep making videos! Thank you!
Thank you bro! Will definitely check out that nub cutter. Mine is working just fine at the moment but wouldn’t hurt checking out some new gear!
I’ll second the Ruitool! It’s a really affordable finishing nipper that has saved me so much time. I always over did it with my exacto knife, but the Ruitool makes it so much easier!
Final build looked great but bald Nu is definitely cursed. A Gundam needs his V-fin hahaha
Cursed Gundam, will get the v fin on soon when the cement arrives!
Oh nice ! Now since you built the nu gundam, I would recommend its nemesis the sazabi or its counterpart the hi-nu gundam both RGs are marvel of model kits engineering. Keep the videos coming homie !
Hopefully in the near future!! Gotta save up for the next gundam hahahaha
Keep up the videos , I was getting bored of the same three channels. Definitely a welcomed new outlet for gundams

I just came across your channel earlier today, and I'm having a blast watching while finishing up a kit. Keep up the great work!! There's a handful of different kinds of GodHand nippers, mostly starting at ~$15
Hey! Welcome to the channel and I’m glad I could entertain while you build your own kits. Thanks for the mention on the god nippers as well!

LETS GOOO HOMIE! Thank you!
@@MaxBuilds007Thank you! I'll be waiting for that Sazabi review! And congrats on 1k!!!🎉🎉🎉
@@AzurousSandwichEater Thank you homie!!!
LETS GOOO! You're inclined to get the sazabi now!
Sazabi in the future bro!!
I think the one thing that keeps me on watching max's vids is the vibe and hw it is alrd having some humour for a new channel. keep up the work. plus the godhand is the standard quality for gundam building but if ur on a budget then normal ones are ok
Will check out some godhands! Thanks for the kind words, makes me happy youre enjoying the videos so far!
I am currently water decaling this kit I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend getting some tamiya plastic cement extra thin it's basically like a plastic welder I use it for whenever I make mistakes and break a part to put it back together! Keep up the great work man.
Will check out that product and I’ve heard water decals are the best. Thank you homie!
Sad i didn't make it into a video, hehe :'c
Great vid!
Keep up the good work matey - simplycity and real emotions in the video are the thing that make them unique!
If you’re looking for a good tool to save you time, try using a gunprimer glass file, it’s amazing and helps save a lot of time
Thanks for the advice! I’ve learnt about the different types of panel liner and how they interact with other materials
Awesome video as usual! The GM look without the V fin is a lot better than I expected!
I was surprised by how good it looks without the Vfin hahaha. Glad you enjoyed the video!
This guys on a roll! love your videos man
And we are gonna keep it going! Appreciate you bro!
@@MaxBuilds007 lets GOOOO, gotta hit up some zeon kits like the zaku
Great video! Highly recommend the RG Hi Nu if no one has told you about it already, absolutely fantastic kit
Looking to get a hold of one at some point. It looks amazing!
4:10 RG is the same scale as HG, but the Nu Gundam is a very large Mobile Suit. He's very imposing next to more average sized mobile suits.
Careful with Tamiya liner! Make sure it has a gloss coat or line the pieces individually on the runner (what I do). It eats plastic if you let it pool or get into little crevices where it can’t evaporate quickly
Will make a note of that! Thank you bro
Thanks so much homie! Yeah I got to look into the water slide decals and the rg hi nu
Great job on the video brother! The biggest thing I’ve learned about the grades is that real grades are master grades but shrunk down. They are just as complicated as MG.
I have a pair of godhands and they are awesome. Super sharp, super clean cuts
Thank you BRO! Yeah definitely soon I'll get myself a pair of better nippers for cleaner cuts.
if you go for the water slide decals, do a gloss top coat before applying. it’ll also help with the panel line so it doesn’t eat into the plastic
Sounds like a plan! Solid advice, thank you bro!
Good Job!
The stickers are the bane of my existence hahahaha. Looking forward to trying the waterslide decals!
Hope you gat a 1k subscriber soon and i think your a very underated TH-camr and keep the good work
Thanks so much homie! Hopefully 1000 subs soon. That would ELITE! Appreciate your support
Yes bro the RG Nu was one of my favorite RG’s to build! You sure do know how to pick bro! Keep up the work
Thanks you homie!
Thanks for the advice! I’m being much more careful when it comes to panel liner for future builds. Just invested in gundam markers as well
this is my first rg nu gundam one of my cleanest build by far love this kit
It's fantastic!
I’ve heard the RG God Gundam kit from it is an amazing build that could be a good one for the channel!
great video as always, would love to see a mg freedom 2.0 with its massive wingspan
Thank you bro! Hopefully in the near future. All these gundam are burning my wallet hahahahah
Literally the box art depicts the mobile suits all gritty, battle damaged and dirty - just adds to it 😅
Love the optimistic mindset hahahahah. It's so peaceful and fun doing it until you mess up. All about making the best out of your mistakes!
Too lazy to see if anyone else has answered but in regards to topcoating a fully assembled build, it’s not technically a bad idea, however a couple potential problems would be:
1, the topcoat not being able to cover the important areas as well as potentially not having an even coat on the full figure
And
2, some joints possibly becoming a bit too stiff and/or inconsistent in tolerance
While 2 is more of an inevitable fact, it’s at least more manageable when you do one part of the build at a time rather than all at once
Thanks for the advice bro! I've heard they can be fragile so its important to use proper technique. I'll keep that in mind if I ever get a pair!
Love your contents man, keep going!❤
Thank you bro!!
Thanks for the advice bro. Yeah decals aren't my favorite but I've heard great things about the waterslide decals. Thanks for telling me about them!
you werent kidding when you said this was an elite gundam this time around, been wanting this one for some time. If I may give a recommendation id really suggest the mg freedom gundam 2.0, been building this one for a day now as my first mg and its been a hell of a lot of fun. keep up the good work homie.
Thanks so much homie! Glad you enjoyed the video and I've been hearing a ton about the mg freedom 2.0. It looks ELITE
Honestly i feel like rgs may be the best ones for yah. They're the most satisfying for me to build and once their on the shelf it all pays off.
Yeah the real grade was an absolute blast and so many of them look sick!
Need to get some more money in the bank account hahahaha
that came out nice and remember we have two types of people in this world people who have broken a v fin and liars
I’ll never lie about my mistakes!
Can’t wait to see you buy and assemble mg narrative ver ka🔥🔥🙏🏻
If you thought the Nu Gundam was epic as an RG, wait till you see its alternate look, the RG Hi-Nu Gundam. Just make sure to get an action stand because you're gonna need it for the bulky boy.
Looking to get ahold of it!
i cant wait to see your reaction to the decals on this kit
They were not enthusiastic hahahaha
My man has fallen down the hole
Not sure when I’ll climb back out
I been working on this kit for a while, I love this kit
It was a great kit, let me know how it goes once you finish!
@@s3tanism3 thank you homie!!
Yessir back at it!!!
We are back baby!!
Not bad choice, RG NU is worth of yoyr money coz of what kind of articulation and design it has for 1/144 kit
I'd reccomend also trying his other version, RG 36 HI-NU Gundam, this one is just a kit that you can't just pass it by, and try also MG Zeta Gundam ver.ka if you want a transformable kit
Will add those to the list, thanks for the recommendation brother!
dude if you had fun with the nu you should try the hi nu, amazing kit!!
Will hopefully get to building it in the future!
Will have to check those out! Thank you bro 👊🏽
Godhand are worth it especially the single blade ones cuts clean dispae has some similar with equal quality
Will have to look into a pair!
Thank you homie for the explanation! I found it interesting how big the size difference between the two was. Hope you're doing well!
Another banger!!!! Which gundam shows have you seen?
I've seen 0079, Zeta, ZZ, CCA, IBO, WFM, 0080, 0083, 8th MS team, Unicorn, on my way to turn A, all of these are bangers but I think 0083 is my favourite
Only ever seen witch of mercury which got me into all of this and then some of iron blood orphan. Will have to check out the others!
Will add it to the list! Have to get the rival as well now. Hopefully get it done in the future!
been watching since the arial video, ive been loving all your vids as they come out :))
Awesome, thank you homie! Hope you stick along for the ride :)
Let’s goooooo!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥☀️
oh btw, try a Unicorn Full-Armor RG😁
The psycho-frame in it along with the transformation is interesting
LETS GOOOOOO BRO
@@MaxBuilds007 please please please be careful of the bicep twist. Broke my unicorn that way (thankfully I was able to get it fixed) So my advice is to use some sort of lubricant for that part.
If you don’t like the decals the kit comes with, then you can use waterslide decals. I just recently put waterslide on one of mine and it looks amazing. Really adds another level compared to the decals they come with. Now I wouldn’t get the Bandai ones but there’s a couple company’s that make good ones
Yeah Ive heard great things about waterslide decals so will look into how I acquire them. Definitely want to make the builds look as good as I can!
@@MaxBuilds007were those not water slides in the kit?
@@saleen12 I didn't think so
@@MaxBuilds007 they were blue paper right? The sheet should say also
LETS GO🔥🔥 been waiting for this new build and also i suggest use file holder the L shape one for runner organization its cheaper and work very well to. i also use the same thing.
LETS GO DUDE. For the next build I may go back to using the organizer and try sectioning out my body part which would be really useful.
Wow nice pick again
Keep it up🔥🔥
Thanks 🔥
@@MaxBuilds007 upon checking, the brand is actually chinese. Nanye or so. Cheers More builds to come.
