Just a note for anyone discouraged by the magic circle remark; I use them constantly and prefer them. And I LOATHED them at first! I have never had anything come undone and I can easily cinch it when I sew in the end. I don’t mind sewing ends, though. I think whatever method works best for you is what you should do, but don’t *not* try it just because other people don’t like them. No shade, just my opinion. Beautiful hexi! 😊
Hi! Absolutely LOVE this pattern!!!! I did your pattern. Then, I tried another round with (6-extended dc, ch 4) in each ch sp for round 5. Then I added your larger edging of (4-treble crochet, ch 1, 4-treble crochet) to make the 6 hexi corners & (4-dc) in 2 sps between. It's even a little bigger (10 inch width) & I love it a little more. Let me know what you think....🤗
Ive been crocheting for 15 years and always used a magic circle and hated sewing in all those ends. This crocheting over that tail end is a game changer.
I follow you on Insta and I think your work is so beautiful! I’m so happy and grateful you provide these video tutorials. I’m a newbie at crochet and it’s so much easier for me to see things rather than read patterns.
Thank you for this very detailed video. I have purchased the pattern for your Coastline Hexie Blanket and am so excited to get started. I love how your instructions are always so detailed, thorough and very easy to understand 🤩 Keep up the good work!
What a beautiful hexagon!!! Going to be making an Afghan with them! Love those colors as well! Thank you so much for sharing your excellent tutorial!!! 💕🤗
Agreed on the magic circle, I never use it for just that reason. If you pull that tail hard enough using the chain method, you can get the hole pretty small and in some projects I can make it completely disappear just like magic circle.
@@nautikrallcrochet I knot it before weaving it in. I tread the tapestry needle, go in the first stitch and back with the needle through the loop that has formed. I do that a couple of times before I weave it in. I hope that makes sense? English is not my first language. I would not trust just weaving the tail in. I learned it from this Video. th-cam.com/video/Vay9q_Op-vA/w-d-xo.html.
Is the granny triangle the one I need to crochet to finish off the edges for a square look? I have made all my large sunburst hexagons and I think I would like for it to be a finished square. Do you know what I mean?
Hi! You complete half a dc stitch, then add in the new skein to complete the stitch. Then I tie either a reef knot or a surgeons knot and sew in the ends later. Check out this tutorial on how to add a new skein; th-cam.com/video/VlujpTjY-fs/w-d-xo.html Best, M
Ive been crocheting for YEARS and never once had my magic cirles fall apart and hate the chain method. I can never get it to look clean or closed. I live on a farm with 6 grand babies and countless furbabies as we rescue. I actually wouldn't even care if the rounds I make for their crates fell apart but after 100's of washes and dryer rounds, not one has fallen apart. I find this comment very odd. I also never leave my tail ignored to the end. After tightening I take it once around the opposite direction of my work from there I carry it through my work until I reach the end of it. If yours is falling apart, perhaps try this. (For those who prefer the magic circle.) I think the biggest key is to find which works best for you and stick to that. Perfect it. Make it your own. We all have that in common. Commenting to say if you are like me and you prefer magic ring, there are absolutely ways to do it that it will not fall apart nop matter how many times you wash it.
I love you, your voice and your work. However, could you please slow down when going to the next row when explaining. You do it so fast i have to replay it many times or try to pause it to give me time to keep up with you. Maybe just through the first two of any change in stitch. Grateful for you r videos.

I am 64 and just started to learn to crochet, your patterns are so easy and thanks for your tutorials.

Beautiful tutorial. Very well explained, thank you!
Fabulous tutorial, thanks so much. I agree with your views on magic circles, there’s nothing magical about it when it falls apart!
I just made number one I guess I need.To write about 90 for napkin.Thank you so much.I followed this right down to the teeth. You are a great teacher
I love this! I’ve admired your work for awhile now and need to make one of these blankets with such a wonderful tutorial! Thank you!
Love the way you tie off!💜💜💜
Thanks for this tutorial .I love these sunburst.❤
What a beautiful hexagon!!! Going to be making an Afghan with them! Love those colors as well! Thank you so much for sharing your excellent tutorial!!! 💕🤗
This is definitely one of the most beautiful and fun blankets I have made.
Love your tutorials!!! Thank you for sharing 💜
Thanks for your tutorials 🖐
You have the perfect tutorial!

Lovely tutorial, and beautiful work. As for the magic ring, I had never fallen a magic ring apart :)
Ooof! You are one of the lucky ones!! How do you sew the tail in? Maybe someone can benefit from your method!!

Sooo happy you have a new video😄😄😄❤️
Happy crocheting!! 🥰🥰
So love your tutorials, thank you.💜 I’ve made a bunch of these large sunburst hexies. Do you have video on how to make a half one, please?
I’m liking the larger sunburst hexi because it will be less joining of the smaller regular sunburst.
Love it I think it's beautiful
I love these squares. I'm trying to figure out how to turn just 2 into a little purse.
Love this so much, thank you
Thanks alot..i love it❤
Grazie è bellissima!! 🤩💐🤗
I'm curious why you didn't tie a square knot at the end like you did in other videos? Thanks for your help. :-)
Do you have a video on how to do half of one?
Mine doesn’t lay flat. How do I fix it? Like it doesn’t curl so much as it rolls.
Elinize sağlık olsun, çok güzel olmuş.♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️🌹🙋
This has been SO helpful!! Would you say these are too big for a temperature blanket?
They’re pretty! I have a starburst hexie that would be more appropriately sized ❤
Miss your videos

Hi, I know what you mean. You may be able to add an extra corner to the triangle one….I’m not sure! I’ve never tried it…
How do i put them together? Is there a pattern. Thank you. ❤️
New to crocheting! What happens if you run out of string in the middle of a round?

Hello! I’m making a blanket from the hexagons, and wondered if you have a pattern for a half sunburst, so that the edges are more even.
Haven't sent anything in a while. Hope all is well.
👏🏼👏🏼😍
No written pattern in info box.
I’m aware-it’s not done yet. I’ll update the links when the pattern is released ♥️
@@nautikrallcrochet great I'll check back soon. Love your patterns BTW. I'm currently working on your Sunburst Granny Square blanket.
Links have been updated ☺️
