Hi Riyanka, as per my experience flight will be a far better option to travel with a pet. We live in NZ and we ofter fly with our pet, longest we have flown with pet will be 2 hours long flight, we usually condition the pet by putting her inside the crate with our worn clothed and leave her inside the crate and keep her in isolation ( we use a nanny cam to monitor the behaviour) for 30 mins, then 1 hr and then finally go up to 2 hours ( the duration of the flight). We start the conditioning a few days before our journey. The worn clothes make them feel our presence and that calms them. This conditioning really helps and keep them calm on the day travel. This will be a great idea to inculcate these habit in your pet that you guys can often travel with your pet. Thanks😊

We travelled by train with our pet multiple times. Train is best. Don't go by flight. Also boarding with dog in flight is not easy. There is no guarantee that they would allow dog. It all depends on captain and the rest of the crew. Book AC first class "coupe" in howrah duronto and make sure Mago is up to date with the vaccination. Get a "fit to travel" certificate from your vet within 24 hrs of scheduled departure time. Note that there is no guarantee that you would get "coupe" even if you select "coupe" option while booking ticket online. For that you need to visit "Reservation Office" (second floor) in Pune railway station 2-3 days before the journey date and give an application mentioning PNR, date of travel and reason for booking coupe. They would make sure you are allotted coupe. On the day of travel you need to visit parcel office in Pune railway station at least 2-3 hours before the departure time and make sure you are allotted coupe. Once they confirm you can book a parcel ticket. Once you get that I am sure you would enjoy the trip (btw not considering the delay :))

Train AC first class coupe book করে নাও। Confirm হলেই Dr যিনি দেখছেন তাঁর কাছে certificate নেবে । যেটা journey র 48hours আগে লেখা হবে।Dr জানেন নিশ্চিত।তবু বলছি ওই certificate এ থাকবে যে mango vaccine regularly হয়েছে এবং journey র জন্য কোন সমস্যা নেই। আর ওর vaccine passport সঙ্গে রাখবে। তাহলেই mango তোমাদের সঙ্গে normally আসতে পারবে। ।
একদম ঠিক। আমার চার পায়া সন্তানকে আমি এই ভাবেই বিলাসপুর থেকে কলকাতা তে এনেছিলাম। কোনো অসুবিধা হয় নি।

Hi Riyanka, as per my experience flight will be a far better option to travel with a pet.
We live in NZ and we ofter fly with our pet, longest we have flown with pet will be 2 hours long flight, we usually condition the pet by putting her inside the crate with our worn clothed and leave her inside the crate and keep her in isolation ( we use a nanny cam to monitor the behaviour) for 30 mins, then 1 hr and then finally go up to 2 hours ( the duration of the flight).
We start the conditioning a few days before our journey.
The worn clothes make them feel our presence and that calms them.
This conditioning really helps and keep them calm on the day travel.
This will be a great idea to inculcate these habit in your pet that you guys can often travel with your pet.

We travelled by train with our pet multiple times. Train is best. Don't go by flight. Also boarding with dog in flight is not easy. There is no guarantee that they would allow dog. It all depends on captain and the rest of the crew. Book AC first class "coupe" in howrah duronto and make sure Mago is up to date with the vaccination. Get a "fit to travel" certificate from your vet within 24 hrs of scheduled departure time. Note that there is no guarantee that you would get "coupe" even if you select "coupe" option while booking ticket online. For that you need to visit "Reservation Office" (second floor) in Pune railway station 2-3 days before the journey date and give an application mentioning PNR, date of travel and reason for booking coupe. They would make sure you are allotted coupe. On the day of travel you need to visit parcel office in Pune railway station at least 2-3 hours before the departure time and make sure you are allotted coupe. Once they confirm you can book a parcel ticket. Once you get that I am sure you would enjoy the trip (btw not considering the delay :))
