I am live and with the inevitable time difference, the fabulous opening of the Olympic Games in Japan. I do not know how to judge their holding in these difficult times but I would not have wanted to miss the expected care and preparation of these extraordinary paintings in a stadium alas that welcomes only your emperor and personalities. The show is grandiose, elegant and magnificent, at the height of the remarkable Japanese people of many qualities that I admire so much.
