Wow, this figure is crap. Your custom, on the other hand, rocks as much as a Slayer concert!
Given the reused mold, I feel like this figure would be a good choice as a monstrous version of the black suited spider-man.

Superior Venom kinda looks like me in cosplay as venom with four thigh high socks stuck to my back.
Pretty bad.....pretty awful figure. We will probably never get a real Superior Venom. This is a cashing in and cashing out by Hasblow. Now we CANNOT bother them for it.
If they only ENGINEERED ball joints for the tentacles....but lets be honest, seeing your Ant-Man Anthony review, they even did that badly.

Me personally, for the whole spider man motive, I think Moon Knight would of been a fun choice, or a new Mysterio.
Black panther, moon knight, or a new cheaper deadpool that isn't impossible to get
The actual Doctor Octopus. We need a new one along with a new Mysterio, Vulture, and Sandman for the Sinister Six.
Looking at the artwork from the comics, Superior Venom's body does seem to change a bit with lat muscles bulging sometimes, but often not.
I'm totally OK with the figure being slender as this is Peter Parker's body. Aside from saving production costs, that might be the reasoning for repainting a Spider-Man mold.
I feel like this figure could've been great if Hasbro put in just a bit more dedication. They could've used the Grim Reaper or even Bucky Cap body, and just made an new, larger upper torso. Make some larger clawed feet to help it stand, make the tentacles rotating and interchangeable, and you've got yourself a figure.
Hey Glenn, great review as always! I too am pretty dissapointed that Hasbro did a poor job of protraying Superior Venom. Between your custom and Hasbro's release, I'll pick your custom any day!
Double barreled, do you think this was the right mass produced mold or should it off been another? Also for other Spiderman figures(miles and big time and Scarlet) do you think I should get them or should I just leave them?

Using this body mold would've been fine, but only if they had sculpted a new upper torso to have the stylized proportions from the comics.
Thanks for opening my eyes to how off this figure is, I almost picked it up and was on the fence. There are other figures I'm saving up for.

I think reusing the superior spiderman body with a new head and different tenticale things like you said would have improved it a lot

I feel like changing styles from panel to panel is the sign of a bad artist.

If this wasn't Superior Spider-Man, I'd probably buy it.

Luckily he never succeeded, but unfortunately he did manage to rape two other people: Peter Parker and Anna Maria. He first assaulted Peter by masturbating to Peter's hanky-panky memories of MJ and then assaulted Anna Maria by deception.
Of course if you ask Dan Slott, Quesada or Brevoort, it isn't rape by deception if you never knew the person they're pretending to be. And consent? Pffff, what's that? A milkshake? Don't be silly. You don't ask for consent to grab someone else's manhood.

Rape is sexual assault, it is carried out through a lack of consent, by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority. While Otto was attracted to MJ, he attempted to romance her as (at this point in the comic) he held all of peters memories, and so genuinely did love her. Hence his decision to push her away for her safety.
With Anna Maria, it is absolutely ridiculous to consider it rape, as he completely fell in love with her (and vise versa). Even wanting to marry her. He had none of Parkers memories at this point, and so was only himself in a relationship with her.
And really? It's a comic book. Him masturbating with the hand of the person who's body he occupies is not rape. It's science fiction.
