If somehow they last until they lose the squeak, pop them in the microwave for 5 seconds. The squeak is back.
God I love curds and I'm not even from the Midwest, fell in love with them in Canada and it sucks they were hard to find in Texas until recently.

My man I grew up in Central Wisconsin on several dairy farms, and I have never ever been on a farm like that one. Lol

too bad such a huge number of dairy farms here in Wisconsin have gone under in the past couple of years (over 40%i believe but Google fact check that). I don't know how long we'll retain Dairy State status at this rate. So many bankrupt farms, an unfortunate number of farmer suicides...it's not good.
Such is always the result of "PROGRESS". We, grain farmers, faced this in the 1970s and have our own song for it "rain on the scarecrow. Unfortunately, nothing will be done about the disappearance of small farms. Technology plays a huge role, but an even bigger role is government made farm insurance, which results in land be the most valuable and safest investment now.
Dairy is just too hard to stomach when you learn how the cows and calves are treated. It's actually horrific....

This was great!!! My uncle had a dairy farm in KY, but, wow!! This is next level farming!! 'Murica!!! I went to the Cheese Castle when I was in Wisconsin for my niece's wedding and nearly died of happiness!!
I can't do cheese anymore because of the treatment of the cows and more horrifically, the calves. They never show the male calves being slaughtered by the thousands. As a mother, I can not imagine somebody taking my infant baby from me and shooting him in the head or slitting his throat...then impregnating me again once my milk dried up.

Visted Manitowok this past july, watched the ferry come in & took a tour of the submarine.

I grew up near a dairy farm and nothing was worse than hearing the mother cows crying for their babies. We are the only species that drinks milk past infancy.
I grew up on a dairy farm too, lady your nuts. We didn't take the calves from the mother's right away, they had a least a week together. Their babies were in the same barn, placed with other baby calves. The cows coming into the barn could stop by them to check in on them. There were no cows crying out for their calves.
@@cathysamborn4709 well then you have a kid and after a week give it to someone else and see if you cry , but don't worry you can stop by and see it once in awhile, some people are just different. You fall in the different categorie

Oh wow, I didn’t know Wisconsin had dairy farms, I always thought all they had was a messed up Netflix show recorded with broken microphones (I mean seriously Netflix, subtitles are a must, spend some dough for good mics man) and a crappy football team. Getting methane gas from manure might sounds free renewable energy but Burning down methane does not mean it s green energy. When you burn methane with O2 you will get CO2 compounds . So it s not green. 😉
