I have to say, you put a lot of work into this but this is why I hate rom hacks. Almost every single dude who makes romhacks likes to make them almost impossibly hard just to be a dick. That's what feels like when you play these hacks. This is coming from someone who has beaten the OG Castlevania's multiple times and I got up to level two with the dragon statues and medusa's and hard jumps and that's when I said "fuck this." and closed the emulator. I don't know why you guys like doing this but it just gives romhacks a negative reputation where the creator just wants to take a game and make it impossibly hard because they like I Wanna Be The Guy. This is why Chorus of Mysteries is easily the best Castlevania romhack because it changes everything and the difficulty is manageable.
Some CV rom hacks are meant to be hard for a reason, with this rom hack being no exception. It's meant to test gamers whom mastered the original and see if they can keep the pace of the difficulty. It's your preference that you don't like these rom hacks based on difficulty and enemy placement and I respect your opinion about this even though I partially disagree.
that dude know how to use words :D well, i agree with you, some of them are way to hard for people like you and me coming from work to relax an hour playing castlevania. i quit this one on the bossfight against grim reaper. but to say the good things . really nice sprites, even if not changed the whole game...and in the end someone is trying to do a hack like that for castlevania fans, even if he gives a shit for casual players. enjoyed playing his latest one called "CastleVania 5: Legacy" quiet a bit, awesome music by Optomon and a little easier than this hack here. and yes, chorus of mysteries is the best, still ;)
Great hack. The redesigned stages look very good and their layout is quite interesting too. The enemy placement makes this hack very difficult but it does not get cheap at any time (and to know how cheap you can make CV difficulty - just play a hack called "Hell's Fury").
I like this Hack for some of its Sprites. It is hard , i mean pretty hard for casuals. At least i played to the Grim Reaper Fight. Try out , you will not regret doing that :) and by the way, best stage is the last one.is really balanced !
