I've actually been using clay to take care of my maintenance needs. You really don't use that much of it in game and there is an abundance of it around. The planks are really needed for more than maintenance so I put them in the shed container.
Thank you for that😊👍 I must have missed that part of the clay, but I saw bamboo, logs, sticks and straw do not contribute to maintenance. I even thought hammers might contribute to maintenance, but it didn't. They might add a few more things with future updates
@@axefield Yea, just about at lvl 21 and have noticed a few things to be careful of. The villagers will actually burn your fur for heat too!! I've had to move that out of the general dynasty box too. Tell me if you know how to add a new general dynasty box too add more stuff into. I filled mine up several times and thought that I could just add another box into the hut with the original one, but when I opened up the new box it was full too!! I tried putting one in the shed hut, but the same thing happened???? As soon as I hit lvl 21 I will wait for a new update and some fixes. Enjoy your vids!! Ciao
In my opinion, the best thing to use for maintenance, if you have access to it, is chiseled stone. However, it is not available to everyone, due to an unfortunate bug. You should be able to get access to the mining post after finishing the miko quest in the first village, but you had to do the quests in a very specific and non-intuitive way to get the unlocks (same bug for the fishing hut, but with the impure man). I think that bug is fixed for new starts of the game, but anyone that ran into it prior to the fix going in looses access to the unlocks, until they put in a fix for existing saves. They are aware of it, though.
@@isheplatinum1218 thanks for the info. That is actually very helpful. Ive got two games running and not one of them can access the mines or fishing hut🤷♂️
@@MrGrim-oo5bq thats Crazy!😂 The people are desperate if they start burning fur! You should report these things to the developers on their discord. Ive got a few things Im gonna add too. Thank you for this👍👍
@@axefield Either way i think my gameplay is bugged, i have the storage stacked up, they have almost double of their needs, but they're always angry, even with extra resources consumed... maybe it would be time to take a break from it, not looking forward to starting again, i already lost a 40+ hours progress when kitsurugi came out.
@@jeep3r that really sucks. Same happened to a friend of mine🫤 It put him off his game completely... I haven't experienced any major bugs other than npcs getting stuck in the building or the ground😆
At what level do the additional requirements occur? Is it better to stick to only a few villagers and not have to worry about the extra needs or do the additional workers more than offset the additional needs?
I believe it goes as follows; 4 villagers - added beverages need 6 villagers - added heating need 8 villagers - added Maintenance need 10 villagers - added health need If you are comfortable managing goods with current villagers you can add 1 villager at a time, but dont try to bring a lot in at 1 go, otherwise you screwed🤣 It is good to have multiple villagers as they help automate good production and help with special projects😊👍
@@johnnylilja3687 This was from a very old version of the game. I will still do a new one. But for security your guards need to be supplied with basic weapons. I found that more advanced spears and swords contribute a lot if you supply your guards with them😊
Thanks for the information. I'd like to suggest a future video explaining how to make the jump from iron to steel tools please.
Kind regards.
Anytime! For sure👌 I will definately do that. Very good idea😊

Glad it helps😊 They have changed a few things in later updates. Chiseled stone and clay contributes a lot now to maintenance
@@axefield I couldn't find chiseled stone, so I have to stock a lot of clay. :(

Any ideas about the security need?
As far as I am aware, the security need cannot be fulfilled yet, but towers and guards should fulfill that need in the future
@axefield i see, thank you, although for something that can't be fulfilled it dure has a negative effect on population.
