In the 1950s, this concerto felt like the future. Britain was at the cutting edge. As betokened by Mr Finzi - whose family must have been refugees of some kind. Where did we lose our way, since 1956? There are not many recordings of this wonderful concerto on TH-cam to choose from. Thank "the lord" this one escaped the crusher.

the best version by far , authentic english school clarinet sound , tempo is nice , not too fast , nice dinamics.
