This would be perfect if this system was there as well as the normal one. It’s nice to get rewarded for winning but not penalized for playing, right now you get an all or nothing and in a public match setting, that’s not fun. It would be fun to have it to where you can just play and if you want to care more, you can, but not at the detriment to yourself and progression.
There are some things that unlock in multiple ways including armory. And as a bonus any gun extracted in zombies is unlocked which means you dont have to use unlocks on any weapons. Takes very little time to gi get 2 new guns and exfil

I didn't exfil without a weapon I didn't have (Did marksman rifle challenge and picked up a beastly PKM for the contraband stash.) I assumed that like with blueprints someone was using, you couldn't get it as anything but more unique contraband like in DMZ. Unless it only unlocks it for use in zombies. But, I'd have to test it with some wall buys or actually finding a mystery box.
I love the idea of tying the bonus to winning the match...some sort of incentive for team play/playing the objective. Probably won't move the needle but it's better than nothing
Ghosts had this system figured out a while ago. You can unlock stuff by ranking up normally, but you could also go out of order by using a squad point to unlock something you really watned. This should've been the way they go about it; use armory unlocks to prioritize certain things, but still unlock other things naturally through progression

I actually ran into this with war mode. For whatever reason my team would not focus on the last objective. And I couldn't win the game by myself. Mildly irritating. I'm not even at lvl 25 yet. I think armory unlocks were meant to slow down progression significantly.

The daily challenges for me is not tracking properly and especially the bonus challenge which is to win matches. Like for example I have a daily challenge to get 7 operator headshots and there not counting at all
I noticed that last night. I was able to get Covert Sneakers, Ghost, Stims and Uzi last night but I had no idea what challenges I was getting done. I eventually started playing zombies and switching up game modes and weapons to try and get different challenges done. They gotta fix this
You can also use Challenges unlock say attachments. I had a lvl 18 MTZ-556 and I wanted the 50 rnd drum but it unlocks at lvl 24. So all I had to do was win 2 games and I'd have the drum. Theres pros and cons to this. Its mainly designed for Player Retention tho
The problem as I said in my post that for many of us the daily challenges are bugged to the point that even after reaching weapons level of an attachment that's linked to a challenge shortcut is not unlocking the attachment. It's that bad for many of us
Something I do really like about this system is that you can get attachments early too instead of leveling up guns. For example I didn’t have or want to use the longbow to get the suppressor without any cons. I was able to add that suppressor and it only took 2 points. It works for a lot of attachments if not all. That’s good. Needing 8 points to unlock the vtol jet and stuff like that is an L
@@someweeb3650 Agreed on the attachment point. However you can run any MW2 unlocked attachment in the category on a gun as long as you have the slot unlocked in level. Because of the Rival 9 from the Beta I can access the thermal 'hot' thermal micro holo sight for use on any other gun.
This exactly. If you’re a completionist that NEEDS everything then it’s a bit different I guess, but for rational people that know what they want for a certain weapon then this system makes it much more efficient
What got me was one of my first challenges was "Get 2 kills with Semtex" but Semtex was locked behind the armory challenges and it took me a lot longer than I'd like to admit to change my class back to a default class with semtex preloaded on it.
SBMM : Oh you play the objective! lets make sure that the other team is a 6 man MLG pros and the your team are all rambos who will never be seen again, and the floor is lava and you're surrounded at all times, even in the deployment intro they killed you 3 times and deployed a chopperguner and jug.

Extracting stuff from Zombies works too You can also extract weapons so if you find the new revolver as a wall buy just buy it, extract and you dont have to reach level 50
It’s refreshing to have a new unlock system. I think adding the ability to re-roll challenges would be great too. Some challenges I get I’m unable to complete because I don’t have the specific gun or equipment unlocked.
Solid point with the match making. For Domination, no objective minded players are in a way, rewarded with receiving a player who has a CAP driven agenda. Because with SBMM, the driven player needs to be equalized with people who dont. So in a way, people who do not play the objective. Are rewarded for not doing so.
I like the idea, however one of my daily challenges was bugged today so during the whole day I could not work towards any or the armory unlocks which was really frustrating. I've seen that they've added it to the trello board though, so I hope that it gets fixed soon and that I don't get a bugged challenge tomorrow...
JGOD dropped a vid on this this morning, he called it "Terrible" and initially I agreed till I hit lvl 25 and started lvling up. When you gain your Bonus Challenge "Win a match" you can start unlocking all your stuff within that 24hr. Then add Zombie modes to it and more than likely WZwill be doing this too
Im optimistic about this system. Often you really want an item that is locked at the very ass end of the level spectrum, and this gives the ability to get that item earlier. I reallt want drill charges, so i put that 2nd on my list after a gun i want slightly more. If you are on top of this, its not to hard to get the items you want and leave the stuff you dont for way down the line when you basically don't care. This helps alleviate those weird stretches of leveling say 20-26 or something where the items are things you have virtually no interest in. As a result, its going to be a long time until I unlock the shotguns, cause i just dont care for them. This works great for me.
I think the choose is good, but many things are only locked behind the armoury and that I don’t agree with. I then have to do stupid shit I don’t find fun.
A) daily challenges before 25 need to count or the armory needs to be unlocked sooner, and B) they need to fix the challenges so that they're not dependant on armory locked items. I had one where I had to get 2 kills with a breacher drone, despite it being armory unlock only, which blocked me from getting the 1/win per unlock point. And C) weekly challenges at the very least need to count towards this. Also, once you unlock armory challenges, it seems like it's impossible to access a list of weekly challenges because of their bad UI design.
Agree 100% with the SBMM + solo players making the wins thing absolutely horrendous. I had to turn off all objective game modes because it was impossible to get wins as someone not five stacking I hate this
The thing is though, a lot of those cons aren’t even really the fault of the Armory system itself. I think that in a vacuum, the Armory is a fantastic idea both in concept and in execution, a proper Sledgehammer W But we’re not observing it in a vacuum, and we’re definitely not observing it in the best light it can shine under thanks to our old friend, the matchmaking systems. SBMM holds a lot of modern CoD games and their mechanics back, but it’s especially apparent in this particular instance purely because of how good of an idea the Armory really is.
You are 100% correct!! I have never been the type of player that backs out of matches, but I back out of several today because I was actively working towards these armory unlocks.
I like the system overall, but I agree with you that it needs multiple tiers of the regular daily challenges. Also, they should change/randomize the bonus challenges so that it's not always counting on you to win games. That could be one of the options, but it would ideally be rare and the other regular challenges would come first.
I hate this system. Its so time consuming. I thought this was just for the aftermarket parts not regular items that we would unlock anyway just ranking up. Some attachments are also locked behind armory unlocks. Aghhhh
Each unlock only requires 2 or 3 points which is all your daily challenges for the day or 3 wins. And the wins are unlimited points. Plus you can unlock ANY ATTACHMENT any time you want. I've unlocked a lot of the "important" attachments in 6 hours of playtime while in the last 3 years, you had to level up what gun to you know what level to unlock an attachment
I don't hate this. I think it brings a new refreshing way to play. Also, not everyone needs to unlock everything so they wouldn't have to grind to unlock all items. For players who really play a lot they will get it in no time. Lastly, encouraging players to get wins is a plus no matter what the situation.
I actually liked this . At level 25 I immediately unlocked covert sneakers, ghost and stims because I know I’ll always use them and the bulk of my class set up is complete at level 25 . Didn’t have to wait until 33 for stims, 42 for covert sneakers and 54 for ghost etc .
I agree. I think for me it's just that if you're an MP main, you're kinda boned if you wanna make efficient progress. But totally, I love how I can prioritze my playstyle immediately instead of feeling held back until level 52 for covert sneakers lol
My brother had a daily challenge to get 3 kills with a Semtex but you need to do 3 challenges to unlock the Semtex. For today he couldn’t even get to the bonus challenge.
I think I'd be annoyed if it wasn't for zombies. I'm unlocking guns and lethals early just by extracting with them. The zombie bonus challenge gives 1 armory award for every 3 contracts you do, and doing contracts is what gives you the best rewards (like schematics) anyway.
Hey Ace i would appreciate a comparison video of mw2 guns before and after they were carried over to mw3. I am curious how the gun recoil changed, it feels to me like it hasn’t changed a bit.
a system in which you get a bonus point for every 20 kills or so in addition to the bonus point you get from a win would be better, so that even if the round looks like you’re about to lose people will stay in the match to at least get kills. and also if you performed well in a very close match but still lost you at least didn’t waste your time. for example you tried your hardest for the win but ultimately lost, at least you got 43 kills which is 2 bonus points. if you did great and on top of that won the round let’s say 60 kills and a win, 4 points, that would feel so good. so there are ways to make this unlock system work and feel rewarding and without a lot of people leaving
One of the current daily challenges for me is get kills with the Breacher Drone. But, to unlock the Breacher Drone I have to get 3 daily challenges. So for the next 10 1/2 hours I can't get any points for the Armory. I mean common...
Kinda mixed myself, haven't played yet, but I can see their reasoning. To your point, people will unlock what they want first, and lesser wanted items later, so technically, the amount of time to get a setup to how you want it is much sooner than legacy system. Most people IMO don't care about unlocking everything because they get a setup they like and stick with it.
I could not hate this armory unlock system more. I was playing with my friends, and I ALMOST started explaining this “feature” to them, then I caught myself cuz, if I told them this nonsense out loud they would probably just delete the game.
They need to make the “win a game” challenge to just “finish a game” and have it there regardless of the 3 challenges being done, and have the 3 challenges as the bonuses. That makes it to where everyone is gaining progress but if you want to do the extra challenges and progress faster that up to you.
Yo Ace, I have a big issue with this feature, I had a challenge on day1 which was use a tactic insert 3 times, the problem with that is that the unlock for it is level 45. So I have not been able to use any guns or attachments, because of this issue I was not able to equip any attachments, it would only say I needed to unlock the attachments via the new unlock screen. Safe to say day 1 was not going well
I think they should give armory unlock tokens for every challenge you complete in game. So for people who are challenge grinders, they are awarded for their dedication to the game while ensuring even casual players will have a good amount of tokens by completing challenges by just playing the game.
Ace make a video with all the bugs in the game. The red dots on the mini map don’t change if the enemy is on a different level as you. Tac sprint just stops working. Can’t see anybody in a dark doorway or dark room from far away.
I'm going to take at least another day or two to compile the issues but I do plan on covering this. Thankfully, SHG has already acknowledged some of these like the mini map elevation issue so fixes should come soon
That mini dot thing is so annoying cause I play hardcore, I know this game was made in like 16 months but my goodness, multi billion dollar company can’t even get the smallest things right
@@TheXclusiveAceadditionally, daily challenges don't work right now. The medal sounds are way too loud/often, and you can't disable or lower their sound. Kill Confirmed spawns are messed up, you can get spawn camped. Also, leveling up a weapon doesn't unlock the attachments for me
Except when the last daily challenge is “flash 2 enemies with a flashbang” but you can’t do that because you need to unlock the flashbang with those daily challenges! So I now have to wait a full day for that challenge to cycle out before I can unlock literally anything..
I have ZERO interest in finding out what the “daily challenge” is, or completing it. I just want to play the game I paid them $100 for. I DO NOT want to “get 5 headshots with an SMG” then “resupply 5 teammates” etc for 5 days in order to unlock items that are vital for gameplay. If someone likes it, fine, but it’s just ruining the game for me and there should be a way to opt out of any of this grinding nonsense for those of us whose lives are complicated enough already.
As someone who typically plays COD casually until I’ve unlocked everything, this seems like a cool way to extend the amount of time I’ll actually feel like playing. I tend to fizzle out and move on to another game once I prestige. I can see where it might be a bummer for more hardcore players, though.

I don’t mind the system but I do agree with these concerns.. I reckon they should have given 1 point per level until 55 and put a bit more thought into the bonus challenge.. 1 win for 1 point feels meh and there are potential problems as pointed out.. maybe the bonus challenge should rotate every 1 or 2 hrs to something that could be in the potential daily challenge “list” and be random for everyone, that way even tho win x games could be there it wouldn’t always be there and it wouldn’t be the same for everyone so if there are people in lobby grinding armoury unlocks they are trying to do a variety of things.
I think the bonus one of getting a win for a point is hard and they should at least add one more like in MW2 get a win OR get 5 or 10kills in a match to make it just a bit less strain on that department. I think later on getting into S1 we'll see if the system works fine or needs changes
You’re missing out big-time this is probably the best cod that they’ve had in the past i’ve never been a fan of the cod cycle. If I don’t like it I don’t like it Vanguard, Cold War, and modern warfare two were all trashed to me so I didn’t buy them. But this one is amazing
They ruined launch day for me with this. I'm having fun with the game but now I'm stuck on losing streaks due to terrible teammates and even though I'm performing well I'm not unlocking guns and perks because of this. It's launch day, I just want to unlock all of the weapons and equipment. I'm being doubly punished because the game is pairing me with bad teammates and as a result it can take me 10 matches just to unlock 1 item. Now I find myself being angry and frustrated on what should be a fun day.
I don't mind the idea, but it can better. I think that it can be made better if they add a couple more daily challenges give us a total of 5 to shoot for and along with the "win one game" challenge, they should have another challenge of "finish 2 games" or "finish 3 games." That way, players have incentive to win AND incentive to finish games because they'll still be making progress.
The BIGGEST problem with this system is how well your daily challange DOES TRACK. I wasted half a day and none of the kill registered toward "Get 25 kills while aiming down side" This is the very same problem with Daily Challenges in MW2, too much bugs with challenges.
I personally didn’t like having to unlock the same things over and over again. I do like that you can pick what you unlock now. There’s some things i will never use and it was always annoying having to wait to unlock the stuff I normally use.
A tip for people who play it. If you extract with the guns in Zombies you will unlock them immediately, so if you're playing MWZ check the wallbuys for any of these weapons.
Zombies is by far the best way to get armory unlocks and to level up your weapons. Just spawn in solo, do 3 quick contracts then camp the exvil because every time you call in the chopper it spawns a ton of zombies. I’ve already maxed out multiple guns in just a couple hours Edit: I started in multiplayer, but I kept getting out on losing games and matched against TTV players and I’m not tryna sweat it out like that
I saw it mentioned in a comment but most of this stuff can be unlocked by exfiling with it in Zombies. So basically anything that can be looted in Zombies you can unlock.
You should make a video on what items you would unlock first considering how many challenges we’re going to have to do to unlock everything. Want to get the best stuff first or the stuff you would use first . I genuinely agree with your place style.
Pretty much a tool to make you play every day, just so you can have some stuff. Keep player numbers high for longer, so you have more potential customers seeing your storefront every day.
I appreciate the fact that the devs want to keep innovating the game in little ways at a time but this system doesn’t seem to new player friendly. I don’t think anyone has a problem with the old system just get to the top level and you get everything simple as that
I think they should've done it like this: Instead of predetermined rank rewards, just choose a reward every time you rank up. Simple, effective, and basically the same timeframe.
After playing for 2.5 hours today my KD is at 1.09 while my win/loss ratio is at 0.64. I think this gives you an idea what kinda trash teams you gonna get playing solo. I was gonna talk about this anyway because it is such a problem to be a solo player in this game. You are always going go get teamed up with trash players if you are any good in this game
I really don’t mind the armory unlock system. I think unlocking base content like guns, perks, and equipment through daily challenge are simple to work on via daily challenges including zombies. Overall, I should try to support this system even reaching level 55 while ranking up my guns and grinding camos in zombies using the double xp and double weapon xp tokens that I have.
Except when they ask you to do shit you won’t have like how tf am I supposed to do the impossible… use a tac insertion that unlocks at lvl 40 I’m level 31…
More confused than ever. So once I get these items what games can I use them in? For example will I have them in Warzone or plunder? I hated the tuning system cause it was to much now it looks like they've replaced it with the damn armory. I just want to be a casual player can I just play casually and still have fun without being an addict where the game takes over my life?
I guess it is a little annoying that you can only progress by winning games. But lets be honest here. Most people reach level 55 after one or two weeks. You basically rushed trough the levels without even looking at what you unlocked. Not really a bad idea to slow that down a bit and at the same time promote teamplay.
This happened to me last night. I was using an assault rifle and holding down an objective, but was still moving on the rooftop and firing my gun, but got kicked for inactivity! Wth
As a solo player appreciate your remarks .. when I had a team my W/L record was far better .. in MW2 I struggled to get to 3 to 1 and pretty much plateaued there .. big issue is the quitters you alluded to .. and yes I play ALL OUT to have chance to win
Honestly, a good work around would be to do what Overwatch 2 did and switch the wins challenge to "play 2 completed games" with wins rewarding double value. That way you're insentivised and rewarded for winning, but you're not punished for losing or treating the game casually. Kind of an interesting system though.
Yesterday I played some MP matches.... Quasi immediately the SBMM kicked in and I my team consisted only of toddlers who had taken the controller from their AFK daddy. I myself was pretty tired and wanted to shoot some but not grind, and I didn't feel like single-handedly carrying the whole team to victory. Terrible gaming experience.
Remember when you could just buy a game disc from Target, didn't need to create an Activision account, didn't need to wait hours to download content, and gun progression in multiplayer was as simple as just leveling up? Man those were the days.

I have activated one and completed 5 daily challenges over 2 days and it still says 1/3?

Unlock lvl 25 > select "Semtex Grenade" in the armory challenges > Complete 3 daily challenges (if your 3 dailies are done, win 3 matches) > done

Same here, only two challenges were able to work for me in zombies and that’s 75 crits with shotguns and 5 kill streak kills

I'm at max level for the MTZ and the Rival 9, and yet both mags are still locked and I have to do the stupid ass armory.

You can also extract weapons so if you find the new revolver as a wall buy just buy it, extract and you dont have to reach level 50
It’s refreshing to have a new unlock system. I think adding the ability to re-roll challenges would be great too. Some challenges I get I’m unable to complete because I don’t have the specific gun or equipment unlocked.

Solid point with the match making. For Domination, no objective minded players are in a way, rewarded with receiving a player who has a CAP driven agenda. Because with SBMM, the driven player needs to be equalized with people who dont. So in a way, people who do not play the objective. Are rewarded for not doing so.
I like the idea, however one of my daily challenges was bugged today so during the whole day I could not work towards any or the armory unlocks which was really frustrating. I've seen that they've added it to the trello board though, so I hope that it gets fixed soon and that I don't get a bugged challenge tomorrow...

JGOD dropped a vid on this this morning, he called it "Terrible" and initially I agreed till I hit lvl 25 and started lvling up. When you gain your Bonus Challenge "Win a match" you can start unlocking all your stuff within that 24hr. Then add Zombie modes to it and more than likely WZwill be doing this too

Im optimistic about this system. Often you really want an item that is locked at the very ass end of the level spectrum, and this gives the ability to get that item earlier. I reallt want drill charges, so i put that 2nd on my list after a gun i want slightly more. If you are on top of this, its not to hard to get the items you want and leave the stuff you dont for way down the line when you basically don't care. This helps alleviate those weird stretches of leveling say 20-26 or something where the items are things you have virtually no interest in.
As a result, its going to be a long time until I unlock the shotguns, cause i just dont care for them. This works great for me.

I think the choose is good, but many things are only locked behind the armoury and that I don’t agree with. I then have to do stupid shit I don’t find fun.
A) daily challenges before 25 need to count or the armory needs to be unlocked sooner, and B) they need to fix the challenges so that they're not dependant on armory locked items. I had one where I had to get 2 kills with a breacher drone, despite it being armory unlock only, which blocked me from getting the 1/win per unlock point. And C) weekly challenges at the very least need to count towards this.
Also, once you unlock armory challenges, it seems like it's impossible to access a list of weekly challenges because of their bad UI design.
Agree 100% with the SBMM + solo players making the wins thing absolutely horrendous. I had to turn off all objective game modes because it was impossible to get wins as someone not five stacking

You can unlock most of the weapons, tactical and grenade in MWZ just like DMZ, by extracting them that a way to get free stuff.
The thing is though, a lot of those cons aren’t even really the fault of the Armory system itself.

SBMM holds a lot of modern CoD games and their mechanics back, but it’s especially apparent in this particular instance purely because of how good of an idea the Armory really is.
You are 100% correct!! I have never been the type of player that backs out of matches, but I back out of several today because I was actively working towards these armory unlocks.

I like the system overall, but I agree with you that it needs multiple tiers of the regular daily challenges. Also, they should change/randomize the bonus challenges so that it's not always counting on you to win games. That could be one of the options, but it would ideally be rare and the other regular challenges would come first.
I hate this system. Its so time consuming. I thought this was just for the aftermarket parts not regular items that we would unlock anyway just ranking up. Some attachments are also locked behind armory unlocks. Aghhhh
Each unlock only requires 2 or 3 points which is all your daily challenges for the day or 3 wins. And the wins are unlimited points. Plus you can unlock ANY ATTACHMENT any time you want. I've unlocked a lot of the "important" attachments in 6 hours of playtime while in the last 3 years, you had to level up what gun to you know what level to unlock an attachment
I don't hate this. I think it brings a new refreshing way to play. Also, not everyone needs to unlock everything so they wouldn't have to grind to unlock all items. For players who really play a lot they will get it in no time. Lastly, encouraging players to get wins is a plus no matter what the situation.

I actually liked this . At level 25 I immediately unlocked covert sneakers, ghost and stims because I know I’ll always use them and the bulk of my class set up is complete at level 25 . Didn’t have to wait until 33 for stims, 42 for covert sneakers and 54 for ghost etc .
I agree. I think for me it's just that if you're an MP main, you're kinda boned if you wanna make efficient progress. But totally, I love how I can prioritze my playstyle immediately instead of feeling held back until level 52 for covert sneakers lol
My brother had a daily challenge to get 3 kills with a Semtex but you need to do 3 challenges to unlock the Semtex. For today he couldn’t even get to the bonus challenge.
I think I'd be annoyed if it wasn't for zombies. I'm unlocking guns and lethals early just by extracting with them. The zombie bonus challenge gives 1 armory award for every 3 contracts you do, and doing contracts is what gives you the best rewards (like schematics) anyway.

Hey Ace i would appreciate a comparison video of mw2 guns before and after they were carried over to mw3. I am curious how the gun recoil changed, it feels to me like it hasn’t changed a bit.
a system in which you get a bonus point for every 20 kills or so in addition to the bonus point you get from a win would be better, so that even if the round looks like you’re about to lose people will stay in the match to at least get kills. and also if you performed well in a very close match but still lost you at least didn’t waste your time. for example you tried your hardest for the win but ultimately lost, at least you got 43 kills which is 2 bonus points. if you did great and on top of that won the round let’s say 60 kills and a win, 4 points, that would feel so good. so there are ways to make this unlock system work and feel rewarding and without a lot of people leaving
One of the current daily challenges for me is get kills with the Breacher Drone. But, to unlock the Breacher Drone I have to get 3 daily challenges. So for the next 10 1/2 hours I can't get any points for the Armory. I mean common...
Is there a default class with the breaches drone?
It's definitely a dumb design oversight but you could just easily use one of the default classes that has them for equipped for now

Kinda mixed myself, haven't played yet, but I can see their reasoning. To your point, people will unlock what they want first, and lesser wanted items later, so technically, the amount of time to get a setup to how you want it is much sooner than legacy system. Most people IMO don't care about unlocking everything because they get a setup they like and stick with it.
This is an awful system. I can't believe they actually managed to find a way to make unlocking things worse than it was last year.
I could not hate this armory unlock system more. I was playing with my friends, and I ALMOST started explaining this “feature” to them, then I caught myself cuz, if I told them this nonsense out loud they would probably just delete the game.
They need to make the “win a game” challenge to just “finish a game” and have it there regardless of the 3 challenges being done, and have the 3 challenges as the bonuses. That makes it to where everyone is gaining progress but if you want to do the extra challenges and progress faster that up to you.
It would be cool if you unlocked base perks by level, and then pro perks via this armoury system
Yo Ace, I have a big issue with this feature, I had a challenge on day1 which was use a tactic insert 3 times, the problem with that is that the unlock for it is level 45. So I have not been able to use any guns or attachments, because of this issue I was not able to equip any attachments, it would only say I needed to unlock the attachments via the new unlock screen. Safe to say day 1 was not going well
Use the default class that has the tac insertion. You'll get it done that way.
I think they should give armory unlock tokens for every challenge you complete in game. So for people who are challenge grinders, they are awarded for their dedication to the game while ensuring even casual players will have a good amount of tokens by completing challenges by just playing the game.
Ace make a video with all the bugs in the game. The red dots on the mini map don’t change if the enemy is on a different level as you. Tac sprint just stops working. Can’t see anybody in a dark doorway or dark room from far away.
I'm going to take at least another day or two to compile the issues but I do plan on covering this. Thankfully, SHG has already acknowledged some of these like the mini map elevation issue so fixes should come soon
That mini dot thing is so annoying cause I play hardcore, I know this game was made in like 16 months but my goodness, multi billion dollar company can’t even get the smallest things right
@@TheXclusiveAceadditionally, daily challenges don't work right now. The medal sounds are way too loud/often, and you can't disable or lower their sound. Kill Confirmed spawns are messed up, you can get spawn camped. Also, leveling up a weapon doesn't unlock the attachments for me
The challenge for unlocking the Semtex, needs a challenge that requires using Semtex😂. They should patch these fast

Except when the last daily challenge is “flash 2 enemies with a flashbang” but you can’t do that because you need to unlock the flashbang with those daily challenges! So I now have to wait a full day for that challenge to cycle out before I can unlock literally anything..
I have ZERO interest in finding out what the “daily challenge” is, or completing it. I just want to play the game I paid them $100 for. I DO NOT want to “get 5 headshots with an SMG” then “resupply 5 teammates” etc for 5 days in order to unlock items that are vital for gameplay. If someone likes it, fine, but it’s just ruining the game for me and there should be a way to opt out of any of this grinding nonsense for those of us whose lives are complicated enough already.

As someone who typically plays COD casually until I’ve unlocked everything, this seems like a cool way to extend the amount of time I’ll actually feel like playing. I tend to fizzle out and move on to another game once I prestige. I can see where it might be a bummer for more hardcore players, though.

I don’t mind the system but I do agree with these concerns.. I reckon they should have given 1 point per level until 55 and put a bit more thought into the bonus challenge.. 1 win for 1 point feels meh and there are potential problems as pointed out..
maybe the bonus challenge should rotate every 1 or 2 hrs to something that could be in the potential daily challenge “list” and be random for everyone, that way even tho win x games could be there it wouldn’t always be there and it wouldn’t be the same for everyone so if there are people in lobby grinding armoury unlocks they are trying to do a variety of things.
I think the bonus one of getting a win for a point is hard and they should at least add one more like in MW2 get a win OR get 5 or 10kills in a match to make it just a bit less strain on that department. I think later on getting into S1 we'll see if the system works fine or needs changes
Seems like the easy solution is to change the repeating daily to something like "get x kills" or "get 3 kills without dying x times".
I unlocked them all automatically in my head by not buying it this year 😂
I think it’s pretty cool that you now have much more incentive to actually win a match rather than ranking up.

This system is trash
They ruined launch day for me with this. I'm having fun with the game but now I'm stuck on losing streaks due to terrible teammates and even though I'm performing well I'm not unlocking guns and perks because of this. It's launch day, I just want to unlock all of the weapons and equipment. I'm being doubly punished because the game is pairing me with bad teammates and as a result it can take me 10 matches just to unlock 1 item. Now I find myself being angry and frustrated on what should be a fun day.

I made it to level 50 before realizing it wasn't just to skip level unlocks, I wasted so many points on attachments
I don't mind the idea, but it can better. I think that it can be made better if they add a couple more daily challenges give us a total of 5 to shoot for and along with the "win one game" challenge, they should have another challenge of "finish 2 games" or "finish 3 games." That way, players have incentive to win AND incentive to finish games because they'll still be making progress.
100% they´re gonna sell these unlocks at one point I bet :D supply drops started the same way back in AW..
The BIGGEST problem with this system is how well your daily challange DOES TRACK.

This is the very same problem with Daily Challenges in MW2, too much bugs with challenges.
I personally didn’t like having to unlock the same things over and over again. I do like that you can pick what you unlock now. There’s some things i will never use and it was always annoying having to wait to unlock the stuff I normally use.

Honestly it just helps unlocking things earlier and once I unlock what I want I’m not even gonna actively keep doing the challenges
A tip for people who play it. If you extract with the guns in Zombies you will unlock them immediately, so if you're playing MWZ check the wallbuys for any of these weapons.
Zombies is by far the best way to get armory unlocks and to level up your weapons. Just spawn in solo, do 3 quick contracts then camp the exvil because every time you call in the chopper it spawns a ton of zombies. I’ve already maxed out multiple guns in just a couple hours
Edit: I started in multiplayer, but I kept getting out on losing games and matched against TTV players and I’m not tryna sweat it out like that

I saw it mentioned in a comment but most of this stuff can be unlocked by exfiling with it in Zombies. So basically anything that can be looted in Zombies you can unlock.
You should make a video on what items you would unlock first considering how many challenges we’re going to have to do to unlock everything. Want to get the best stuff first or the stuff you would use first . I genuinely agree with your place style.

Pretty much a tool to make you play every day, just so you can have some stuff. Keep player numbers high for longer, so you have more potential customers seeing your storefront every day.
The tier idea is a genius tbh that would be a better way of earning over wins and would eliminate players backing out solely for the win
I appreciate the fact that the devs want to keep innovating the game in little ways at a time but this system doesn’t seem to new player friendly. I don’t think anyone has a problem with the old system just get to the top level and you get everything simple as that

I think they should've done it like this:
Instead of predetermined rank rewards, just choose a reward every time you rank up. Simple, effective, and basically the same timeframe.
You can also play zombies , get the weapon you don’t have unlocked in the gameplay, exfil and you unlock the weapon

After playing for 2.5 hours today my KD is at 1.09 while my win/loss ratio is at 0.64. I think this gives you an idea what kinda trash teams you gonna get playing solo. I was gonna talk about this anyway because it is such a problem to be a solo player in this game. You are always going go get teamed up with trash players if you are any good in this game
I really don’t mind the armory unlock system. I think unlocking base content like guns, perks, and equipment through daily challenge are simple to work on via daily challenges including zombies. Overall, I should try to support this system even reaching level 55 while ranking up my guns and grinding camos in zombies using the double xp and double weapon xp tokens that I have.
I’d rather they just make it rank 70 or something lol

I hated the tuning system cause it was to much now it looks like they've replaced it with the damn armory. I just want to be a casual player can I just play casually and still have fun without being an addict where the game takes over my life?
I guess it is a little annoying that you can only progress by winning games. But lets be honest here. Most people reach level 55 after one or two weeks. You basically rushed trough the levels without even looking at what you unlocked. Not really a bad idea to slow that down a bit and at the same time promote teamplay.
Btw if you're sniping and don't fire a single shot withing a time frame the game will kick you out for inactivity
This happened to me last night. I was using an assault rifle and holding down an objective, but was still moving on the rooftop and firing my gun, but got kicked for inactivity! Wth

As a solo player appreciate your remarks .. when I had a team my W/L record was far better .. in MW2 I struggled to get to 3 to 1 and pretty much plateaued there .. big issue is the quitters you alluded to .. and yes I play ALL OUT to have chance to win
Honestly, a good work around would be to do what Overwatch 2 did and switch the wins challenge to "play 2 completed games" with wins rewarding double value. That way you're insentivised and rewarded for winning, but you're not punished for losing or treating the game casually. Kind of an interesting system though.
Yesterday I played some MP matches.... Quasi immediately the SBMM kicked in and I my team consisted only of toddlers who had taken the controller from their AFK daddy. I myself was pretty tired and wanted to shoot some but not grind, and I didn't feel like single-handedly carrying the whole team to victory.
Terrible gaming experience.
