Love the channel! I have been binge watching your vids. We have helped the great country of Texas eliminate feral hogs several times with AR-10s, 450 Bushmaster, and 350 legend ARs. It is an atrocity they don’t allow you to have semi autos for this work. Great work mate and cheers for your efforts.
Good to see Danny getting a bit more screen time , try to get him to open up a bit Jack , I for one would like to see him more and hear what he has to say , thanks. Regards , Gary from Bunbury.
I always find it so interesting when different individuals find vastly different applications for the same weapon. In Europe, the Speedline is predominantly used for hunting boar in battue situations. It’s incredibly cool that you’re using it to cull camels in the outback!!
Getting contract mining work is good additional income for a pastoralist who have the machinery to do the work. Viewers are seeing the varied work roles on a station.
Dude I'm hooked on your channel. I may or may not have been watching you all day whilst I was meant to be working! Whereabouts in WA are you? In the Wheatbelt?
Enjoying the content Jack. So many questions I have this time and not sure if I missed it or not. But why do you have to cut the bore hole 300 mm below the ground? Does the yellow post go back on top. Can't you just rip around it, and do the mining companies pay for the rehabilitation of your land.
Those are the requirements set out by the department of minerals and petroleum , it's to prevent a sinkhole forming. The yellow post is removed and disposed of. The site is supposed to be left sterile. And as we are a leasehold on crown land they just have to rehabilitate the land, we only get paid to do the rehab work.
Jack great content. Do you do any direct seeding to those rehab sites. Perhaps collect some local seed and broadcast once ripped. Good work on those camels. Cheers
Absolutely we would direct sow native seeds, if the companies were going to compensate us for the effort, however it doesn't come into the requirements for rehabilitation.
Great vid jack would like to see your 300wm on the camels, out of curiosity what heads or bullets do you use in the 300 wm, i shoot 300wm, and for the last 20yrs i use swift a frame 200g ,heads best wishes ,steve uk
Got a question for you Jack. Do the mining company's pay you to do the surveys on your land and as part of that its your responsibility to clean up the test holes or do they just do the surveys and then pay you to go clean up the sites ??????? 😀😀
Such a different world. US just under the Great Lakes & half the time I want to work, we are waiting for the ground to dry up enough to get anything done. I'm sure the Camels feel like work after a couple hundred. I would not get anything done for the first year while I took turns laying out playing sniper and wading into the middle of them while you think, Crazy American. Watch too many John Wick movies. For the ups and downs, I bet you would not be happy in any other life. Looks like a happy place to me.
Hi Jack and Danny, Jack why is it that you are doing the rehab and not the drill company/mining company don’t do the rehab? Or are they paying you to do it?
@@55Bigdon1 To us they are a uniform, they are great for visibility, we use a lot of large equipment and many farmers and stations wear High - Vis over here. Plus super handy for standing out amongst the landscape if someone ever happens to get lost!

Jack - you have such a natural teaching demeanor. I am hooked!
Thanks for letting us catch a glimpse of your adventurous life!
Danny is a man of few words for such a knowledgeable fella 😀😀
Shit....now I really have to make a "how to make the speedline more accurate" video 😂 thanks for the shoutout. Bastian

Few less adverts this time. Thank you!

@jack_out_the_back Yes understand you have a big job running that station.

G'day Jack. Mate, how would you go setting up a small digger off the back of your work ute? Save a lot of gut busting and hard yakka.
Coitada ❤❤❤
Have you looked into using Electronic identification ear tags and a reader for managing you livestock
We do.
👌
Yeah HawkMeyer Outdoors, We are not allowed semi autos ,pump action shotguns or moderators. Welcome to Australia
How many camels would you estimate are on your land
Thousands
Are there any plants which would help retain some of that water for you? I'm not saying terraform the whole ranch of course
Does it hurt the camel?
I have a cousin Jack.
dude you gotta sell Prenti Downs merch i need a shirt
We're investigating shirts at the moment, and stickers soon, but hats are available through Bretts embroidery: brettsembroidery.com.au/shop
Can't you use the 50mm as a low flow water source?
It;s salt water
Question Does are Dingos in that area if yes does all that camel carcas are eating by what?
Hi Jack and Danny, Jack why is it that you are doing the rehab and not the drill company/mining company don’t do the rehab? Or are they paying you to do it?
They contract us to do it. We have the right equipment to get it done and we are already here 👍🏻
@@jack_out_the_back thanks for the reply Jack. Ps I bought one of the bucket hats the other day and it’s on its way 😀
Why do you guys wear high vis shirts for cattle work? Is it just regular work shirts because of the mining?
Thanks, I am enjoying the channel!
