Meaning, you can have particle trails, 3d stroke, track in 3D stroke to your footage, the options are endless. Of course, i cant imagine rendering out each tracer shot with a particle system attached to it (definitely would increase your render times). Next tutorial?

Is there another way to import the editable layers into AE? If I want to go the Overlord route, where's the best (reliable) site to download it? Looks like a $50+ investment...
Sorry Pete for the delayed response, i would go direclty through Battle Axe's site, for the cost, this plugin is worth WAY MORE! Depending on how the design was setup in Ai, you can always right hand click the layer and convert to shapes or masks! Its not as ideal as a native shape layer or text, but it will certainly do the job without Overlord. BUT, overlord can do all that in just one click, and a bunch more options too! www.battleaxe.co/overlord/

Hey boss thanks for the kind words. No worries man, glad it’s helping you figure things out! Are you sure you’re dragging over an attribute that is supported. The essential graphics panel has a “solo supported items” which will show you what attributes in your timeline from what layer you can drag over!. Hope this helps 🙌🏾

Hey, so what is the deal with that overlord plugin? I can't seem to find it, only buy it and it is quite expensive. It seems that it is really essential for this, because otherwise the text is not editable. There are ways around that it, but takes way more time and effort and a lot of mechanical work. Besides scorecard, could we use after effects to animate distance of the shot as well? Ideally, the distance can continue increase from 1 to 200 (or whatever number we want) along with the ball flight?
hey man sorry for the late reply. but yes, ideally it would just be a number count with a slider control so that you can adjust the numbers on each shot. Your basically just animating text which is entirely possible!
hey. Ok so if im reading the question correctly, you would create the Premiere Pro template in After Effects using the essential graphics panel. Once built out, you would then export a mogrt file from After Effects. You can then import that mogrt file in Premiere Pro in the essential graphics panel there. so you can undock all the panels that you use and drag and drop them in which ever location you like. When you drag and drop, you will see either a large blue divide or a small one. Small blue divide will create a new stack. Big blue divide will add to a current stack! Should i make a video for this?
Adobe runs on windows as well. So that would be my go to choice, but depends on your budget. Something I’ve seen people do is design it on word or PowerPoint and export images out to use on your timeline. There are many options, just what you’re comfortable with! Hope this helps!

Seems like your design is all on one layer in Ai. Sequence out those layers into their own individual layer in Ai and it should open in Ae with all the layers. From there, you can "create shapes" to certain layers to create masked or native shapes
Those generally will just take playing around with illustrator to get the look and feel you want! Definitely playing with more: strokes, gradients, lighting, etc... Happy to connect with you and create you one. Shoot me an email or DM

Hey boss. Yes most definitely, there's a option to "solo all supported items" and that will collapse all your Ae layers that are compatible to drag into the essential graphics panel (color, type, images, size, pretty much any parameter you see that drops down you can drag over). I think the tutorial actually shows you that as well. Hope this helps man, if you have any other questions just shoot!

So when I click on solo all supported items the items drop down for sure but like yours I do not get option for color. In fact, my options are quite different from yours. I am using AE 2023 if that makes any difference. I took a screenshot of what I see but there is not way of sending a screenshot here...
This was an extremely helpful video. I was following it step by step but got stuck at importing it into Ae. I don't have overlord so tried doing it the long way but it keeps saying could not create outlines. Empty or unsupported content. I have been stuck at this for hours. Hey man glad you found the tutorial helpful. If you’re referring to text, create outlines in illustrator and then you can create paths in AE. Not sure if that’s the solve, but it should work! Let me know if you need further help 🙌🏾

I did what you recommended and it did work in being able to create shape layers of the text however the results aren't as seamless as yours. For example, I am still not able to change the text in Ae. I am not able to just change the x axis of the box. It affects both the x and y axis. I am fairly new to Adobe as a whole so its a bit frustrating. Im unfortunately not a Davinci user! But im sure there's something out there. I just know there's no direct way from Ae to Davinci. I"ve seen a guy build a template in Davinci

Hey man thank you boss appreciate the love. Are you taking the source text layer into the essential graphics panel? Could also be a buggy font. Try using a more common font (helvetica, arial, times roman, etc...) and see if that error still comes up when you drag the source text, not the layer!

I had to stop and comment... the information you're delivering is very helpful, but your work flow and explanations are terrible man... I can't follow along when you're constantly correcting yourself, using oblivious key shortcuts, and using paid plug ins
